(Consider it a tourist trap) I would recommend getting the River shrimp is taste alot better and same size as small lobster also the price is cheaper depend on where you get it.
Just two or three would be enough for a scampi, but too few to cook up and serve with fries (chips for the UK people). Then again, these are too great to treat like common shrimp. I know some of you would agree about that, but, hey, you do you. 😁👍

They make amazing left overs too
In Thailand you bought it alive from the last night fishing for 2$😂. Please don't compare American industrial food with the living Thailand food bro, it's night and day. Even 1000 km from the shore you can find alive red snapper or calamari, this is a food delivery chain that exists since several centuries, same it exists in France or Spain . American cuisine, less than 200 hundreds years country 😂

All I know is we had them for dinner last night & they were delicious! We actually got them for less this year. I paid $17.99 a pound. We bought 4 pounds. We are happy to pay that as it is a delicacy for us. We buy them once a year & it keeps everyone happy. 😊

Here in KY there's an aquaculture program at KY State University to help farmers raise jumbo fresh water prawns in ponds to replace the disappearing tobacco revenue. I've splurged a couple of times (they are harvested in the autumn, covered in crushed ice right away). SO delish!!
