Hey guys, what a great video about a great city! I had been in Berlin until recently and hoped that you would come. Come to the western part of Germany! Please tell us about your next destinations!!
My family is from Leipzig but I was born in Wiesbaden. I'm so happy to have moved to leipzig now that I'm starting Uni. Leipzig is such a beautiful city I'm glad you all had fun and thank you for sharing a part of Leipzig I haven't seen before. :)
Great video, my mother was born in Leipzig. My grandfather was a dentist but in 1937 the family fled Germany because of Nazi politics and policies. They went to Cuba and stayed there until the communist revolution at which time they again emigrated to the US. My grandmother loved Leipzig, she was also born there and grew up there, she would tell us (her grandchildren) about her work in the fur industry and about the architecture and of course the food. I’ve never visited there but your video has peaked my interest!
I enjoy watching your beer tastings in Germany. I used to work with a veteran that was stationed in Germany during the korean war and he would talk about how much better the beer is in Germany compared to the states. He has passed away now, but if I ever make it to Germany I'll have to drink a pint for him.
I've lived here my entire life so I know those industrial areas all too well because I actually also live in Plagwitz it's still nice to see a foreigners perspective. I work in the old Spinnerei and the Mule is right at the entry of that complex.
Its fun to see how you enjoy the "food-city"aspects of Leipzig even when you didnt even see 1% of all the (food) possibilities/options around the city. Thanks for this nice tour around my hometown. I loved it. I wish you all the best for your travels :)
We moved from the US to Leipzig a few months ago. The city is really amazing and we've been loving it here! Next time you're in the area we can show you some of our favorite spots!
@@michaausleipzig Thanks! It really is a beautiful city - and great for families too! The people here have been incredibly warm and welcoming. We're glad we chose this as our new home.

Love your content! It's been super helpful. I'm heading to Leipzig in July/August and wondering if you have any recommendations for quieter, nature-connected neighborhoods with good transport links for accommodation? Any advice would be awesome!

I've lived in Leipzig for a while now and never really seen this side of the city. Will be definitely visiting the Mule Café. What was the name of the Wrap place you visited?
I was born in Leipzig but you gave me a new view on Plagwitz. There I was in 1978 forced to a kind of "Childs Work", which the communists called "Productive Work" to be integrated in public school system.
I was supposed to leave for Leipzig in approximately 40 hours. Sadly, the spiking Covid rates have postponed my trip. I miss the city. I'll try again in April. Can't wait to go back to Bayerischer Bahnhof, and Kartoffelhaus Nr. 1.

Gose - my i can understand you trink it after your are stuffed - might help to relieve it but that stuff is special. I tend to give it away as something special from Leipzig, but always with the disclaimer to use it as a gift for people you don't like. I managed to trink 1 Gose in my life - never touched it again. Its like you are about to vomit but you start with it allready in the mouth. :) Sure I'm not a bier drinker, but since I've got the same result from a friend who is a bier enthusiast i decided the whole spectrum of judgement was covered. ;)

Tenéis el viaje a Alemania en Español?
Si!
@@samuelandaudrey Gracias

Gose - my i can understand you trink it after your are stuffed - might help to relieve it but that stuff is special. I tend to give it away as something special from Leipzig, but always with the disclaimer to use it as a gift for people you don't like. I managed to trink 1 Gose in my life - never touched it again. Its like you are about to vomit but you start with it allready in the mouth. :) Sure I'm not a bier drinker, but since I've got the same result from a friend who is a bier enthusiast i decided the whole spectrum of judgement was covered. ;)
