This was a typical Saturday morning growing up in Auntie Nookie's apartment on the 5th floor of the Darst-Webbe Housing Projects. I nearly lost it when Mtume came on and when Gladys came on I was in tears because if I could pick a woman to be my mother, it would be her with Patty a close second. These women and their music were a big part of my childhood and Auntie Nookie loved them all.

Wow! a renowned and exclusive group of singers who perform online. After watching Karyn White in the 1980s smash Superwoman, I'm astonished to see her for the first time. I just wanted to let her know that her song "Superwoman" was incredibly popular in the Philippines and is still played on every home's video karaoke up to this day. Vanessa Williams is absolutely gorgeous and elegant. When I see Force MDS singing "Tender Love," one of my favorite songs from the 1980s, it makes me cry because it so vividly captures the spirit of that era.
