    ⭐Should I do a circular, oval or rectangular table with this bench? Enjoy this episode? Watch this next: ua-cam.com/video/BhL97sD3rmY/v-deo.html

      I can see the draw of a rectangular table due to seating more. I would go with an oval instead due to the sharp corners. Just thinking that when sliding in and around, the oval would keep kids (and adults too) from catching themselves on those corners. Just a thought! It would also give you room on the end for you shelves. My two cents worth since you asked.

      Hubby's right. Definitely a rectangular table. Maybe find a table at Restore that you can refinish .Use your power and round off corners with a router.

      You are SO inspiring Natalee! Every time I watch your videos I just want to grab my tools and start upgrading my home! 😂🤣🤣😉 I have SO MANY IDEAS & yet so little time. It's just me here. Anyways, Thank You for taking the time to include us in your world and showing us that ANYTHING is possible if we apply our minds (and Jesus, of course)😉🥰 I personally appreciate you & your heart. I don't think you realize the amount of encouragement this gives us ladies. ❤🤗💪👩🏻‍🔧 (we need a female with a drill emoji😂)
      Regarding the table, I agree with you that the circle table would LOOK the best (& cutest. I'm envisioning a round oak pedestal table😉 neutral light tan stain of course), BUT I believe your hubs is right. Functionally speaking,
      A slight rectangular table would fit the space & purpose best. Maybe when the kiddos fly the coupe, you can re-imagine it with a beautiful round table. 😉🕊
      I can't wait to see what's next my friend! God bless you & your family!🙏❤️
      Ps: you're looking great! 👍💪🥰

    Power tools are meant for women. We used them before men did...ie vacuums, stoves, coffee pots, mixers, etc. Is great you improved on a necessity. Whatever shape of table you choose, I suggest one that is expandable with locking casters. If you build one, I also suggest adding in a shallow under the table top drawers or shelf to hold items like placemats, silverware, paper, pens, crayons, binoculars, etc. P. S. This may sound silly but I compliment you on what appears like a new look with your eyebrows. Adds to how pretty you are.

    You are my spirit animal! Love how you tackle these projects that bring you joy. It actually brings tears to my eyes because I used to be just like that too. My power tools were my babies. Unfortunately, a progressive neurological disease has made it more challenging. But I love to watch others go for it. Have fun!!! 😁

    I originally thought a round table. Your husband is right about a rectangle table having more seating. Love the way your power tool worked.

  • @donnabacon4681
    @donnabacon4681 3 місяці тому

    One commenter recommended an oval table - great compromise between round and rectangular. If you buy/build(!!) a round table with an insert, you can achieve the oval. So you could have your round until you have company, then include the insert and now you have an oval!
    This looks fantastic! NataLee! And your little supervisor, DolLee is a Doll! So pretty and she has grown so much!

    I just love Dollee! She is so beautiful!🥰 My Razzle Dazzle (Cockapoo) has skin allergies pretty bad, too!😞 About a month, he was scratching perfusley, poor guy! So I took him to the vet to get a steroid shot & antibiotics. The steroid shot worked pretty much immediately! A few months ago, we had Razzle tested for allergies. He was allergic to so much! He is now on a regimen that I believe is working, thank GOD!🙏❤ Razzle is on a raw diet. He eats beef, pork, blueberries, carrots, and broccoli. He loves it. He's been eating these foods for around 3 years now.😊
    Do you mind me asking what kind of things y'all did for Dollee's allergies before y'all started her on Sundays?
    Oh my goodness, NataLee, your bench is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!❤ I think the shelves will be beautiful! I think a rectangle table would look great, too!😊❤️ I love all of your work! And you always make it look so easy!😊❤ I made my craft table just like your craft table, and I absolutely love it, so thank you so much for your inspiration!❤
    As always, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent, and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊

    I know you said temporary, however, why didn't you remove the base trim on both sides to the back wall? You could re-insert it if you rehab and put both pieces back? I haven't done it, but you can keep those pieces inside the storage bench as a reminder later of where you put them.

    I noticed you have 2 receptacles under the bench. Are you considering moving them up on the wall so they are above the seat. You could also add a iPhone charger at the same time. Just a thought. You are one in a million. Thanks for being awesome. You are really good at it. Blessings.

    • @designedtothenines
      @designedtothenines  3 місяці тому

      Good question. I think I don’t want to move them up the wall so they’re visible. I think what I’m going to do is cut an opening in the back part where the two by fours are split so you could put a cord through those.

    NataLee, you are amazing. my husband is a retired contractor, so all I’ve ever really had to do is hang pictures and a couple shelves. But you show women that they can, in fact, learn to do remodeling projects on their own. Your bench is great. I have to say, I do agree with your husband about the table. We used to,have a bench in our kitchen and the worse part of it was the need to slide from one end to get to the other side, we didn’t really have an option, the area was small. You have enough room, to probably get a rectangular table that allows entry from both ends. Just a thought😀

    NataLee... I'm so impressed with your drill! It's clear how good it really is when you premiere it. No quick cut aways or fancy filming just then raw, real deal which we never see these days. I'm excited to get mine once my taxes come in and to add to it as you do.
    The bench looks fantastic. It's going to add so much to your kitchen. Regarding the dog food... I wished more people would stop feeding garbage food to their pets. They make it look good and use clever wording, but it's actually detrimental to the health of our fur babies. It's worth spending more knowing they feel good and less sickness for them down the road

    Lovely work NataLee! It turned out so great. I vote for an oval table. I had a banquette in one of my homes. We first had a rectangular table and it was very hard for people to maneuver around. We later found an octangonal table and it worked perfect with those corners gone.

    Rectangular table, a friend of mine had an oval in the same and it always looks off to me 💪

    I have a round table that has a self contained leaf and it turns into a very comfortable oval shaped table. The ends are rounded and it makes sense for your space. I got the table at IKEA.

    I happened on your channel I think because of your craft room video and then starting watching more of your videos. I love your skills and thought processes in building. You seem to work through thing similar to what I do… you got me hooked and subscribed!!
    I will be moving to new house soon and think I may build a freestanding bench for my back patio so you have me thinking about to do. Of course it will have to be treated wood and thinking about what is right for outside… but I am thinking about it.
