@@lolaseaver3942 if you are someone who crochets, then you can find a pattern on ‘Creative Crochet Corner’ for a very similar look. Last Minute Crochet Gift Ideas by Brenda K. B. Anderson posted about Tuesday December 5, 2023 sharing a pattern for making and demonstration a 10 pointed star picture frame ornament. If it’s difficult using a glittery fabric to crochet the star, then I suggest embellishing the crocheted star with some glitter paint to give it a shine. Have fun with the project! I’ll be crocheting mine next year… 5 kids and 7 granddaughters. PS you could crochet the favorite color for each individual.

Congratulations on your new home. For the fireplace would add wreathes in each box for the holidays. After the holidays I would get a faux marble mantle. I can’t see the current tile I would remove it because it doesn’t go up high enough to meet the new mantle. For the window treatment I have in my past reupholstered my valances to match my color scheme of the living room. You do a beautiful work.

With your main floor being so grand, I'd take a note from Disney's Fort Wilderness at Christmas. When we were there they used mirrors as their focal point. I'd put a large mirror in each of those three pockets and put a massive wreath over the centre one. I'm not sure what you think of wood accents but I'd encase the top of the fireplace in wood, maybe cyprus just to warm up the coldness of the room with all the slick surfaces.

I have moved often and my favourite time was at Christmas. I decorated the house I was selling (didn't want to at first) and it actually helped me sell it. The couple put their newborn in a carrier under my tree while they toured the home! The Christmas decor items were the last things packed and the first things unpacked at the new house. It was a simple but magical year. It's times like those that really accentuate the core of Christmas since there's no time for much of the craziness. Lots of indoor picnic lunches and simple, basic gatherings with very few gifts and I felt more abundant that year than any other! Congrats on your beautiful new home and Happy Holidays to you, NataLee and everyone! 🙂💖🎄🎅🤶

Your tree is beautiful! And your garland over the fireplace is a great way to disguise the lack of a mantle.
Your tree made me chuckle. Years ago, I decorated our church for Christmas. I was the leader of the group. Traditionally, a nice 12 ft tree was delivered by a family tree farm, ready to decorate with the ornaments we had collected through the years. One year, our pastor jokingly mentioned that a 20 ft + tree on the church property that needed to come down would make a wonderful tree for the church platform. And a few of the men made it happen. I was given 1 day's notice that the tree was a little bigger than usual, and there wasn't really any additional budget to accommodate that. We found enough lights, using every strand we had, and like you, draped ribbon through the branches to fill it out. We used all the ornaments we had, and somehow, it looked great. A challenge in the moment, and a fond memory that I laugh over now.

I bought a new tree last year. And it’s only 7 1/2 feet. But I bought a bag too. And it worked out great when I put the tree up. We just stopped at Walmart tonight. I needed to finish my Christmas shopping for the younger grandkids. So my shopping is done. Now I just have to wrap everything. I meant to sneak gifts to my granddaughter and her boyfriend, and my new great grandson. But it all came to my house. So I have to wrap all that too. That tree is huge. I would put a chunky mantle. Leave the tile. And maybe hang a tv or a nice piece of art over the fireplace. I love your decorating. It looks great. I may buy some new things for next year. 27:38

I have a suggestion that everyone can benefit from...add a 3/4" dowel, zip tied to the top section of your tree. You add your topper BEFORE you add that piece to the tree. I for one don't like having the topper smashed against the front of the tree( giving it a rounded top)...the topper should sit ON TOP of the tree! Hope that helps

You did an amazing job on everything! I love the idea of using pipe cleaner to twist several ornaments together and you faked a beautiful “mantle “ with the garland. When we built our last home, my husband (without telling me) put a series of niches down both sides of our long hallway. I could have killed him. It limits how you can decorate and forces you to fill each individual one. If it were me, I would have your construction crew change above the fireplace to one large flat surface so you can decorate it how you wish instead of how they demand. You truly found a beautiful house that you will turn into a beautiful home for your family.

We moved ourselves in, I bought a live tree but didn't remember where we packed the tree stand so I got a bucket and put some sand in it. The only box of ornaments I could find were all of the handmade ornaments from their early years. I think that glass mosaic would be incredible, fitted into in the indented areas. Done in larger pieces , abstract design,in colors u are using, and with touches of a metallic color, and maybe a little mercury glass. Then very plain trim around the areas. And more texture on the surrounding areas. Plus- I think a fire place without a mantle is naked.I think it needs a very clean lined mantle. Plain, but going around the corner of that beautiful wall…

Or, for a 3D effect, 1x1 quality wood pieces set into each recess, stained to match that very clean lined mantel that u might add. Framed out, again with very plain frame of same color . This would look especially good I believe, if u use the rock facing, and remove the tiles. You are awesome! I truly enjoy every video of yours that I have seen! Merry Christmas, and happy new home🌞

I think you should add some beautiful, good quality peel-n-stick wallpaper in the coves above the fireplace, then trim out the rectangles with something classy. Love from Upper Michigan ❤🌲

I CANNOT wait to see what you do with house.. gonna be a stunner because you are the most talented Tuber I have ever watched. The frame and wreath was genius.
As far as ideas I say close up all those niches on fireplace and widen the entire fireplace before you redo it.
On that cabinet in another area, close all the openings in with doors or tear the whole thing out and have open space or build another one in your perfect taste/style.
It is gonna be great and I cant wait till I get my drill!!

Everything looks BEAUTIFUL! GREAT job decorating your tree; I especially love the photo frame idea! Your kids are ADORABLE! Under the circumstances of not even being moved into your new home yet and not being able to paint, etc. this is an EXCEPTIONAL job! Congratulations on your BEAUTIFUL new home, and may you and your family have a BLESSED Christmas Season! 🎄♥🌲

Congratulations on the new home. Oh my goodness I love what you did with the Christmas tree and the fireplace wall. I watch you ALLLLLLL the time and love your ideas, saves, skills, decor style, and over all full in life, and I'm so excited to see what you do with the new home (PROMISE I will be following all the way through). I see you doing an amazing job on that fire place and that TALL. Maybe paint that wall a different (then the other walls), add a large/huge clock, and or wall panel shiplap. I see you adding your own touch to either of those ideas and putting Athena Drill and Lady Jane to good use. What ever you do I can't wait.🛠🔩Ready set go! lol

You make all your projects look so easy and beautiful!
Rebecca Robison mirrored the wall opposite her railing - whoa! It made the stairway a grand entrance. Especially with the lit up garland.
You should check out her video on that!

..... I would absolutely look at the French Fireplace Surround, or Mantelpiece ) Or something along those lines... thst will bring presence and characterto thst Space ......especially with a wood burning Fireplace. A Wood Burner is sooooo much better than Gas. Electric. Pellet.
Ive had all kinds of Fireplaces... I'll take a Real Wood - burning Fireplace EVERY TIME. I've even used one to cook with ,as we had no power for 4 or 5 days ,due to a huge storm. And to heat the house, ...a blower on it is amazing.
Also, I think putting up Moulding on that area above the Mantelpiece area is going to bring it into alignment with whatever type of Mantelpiece you do decide on.
The tree looks really lovely. ....I've used Ribbon for decades ,on my Christmas trees, the ones you used are gorgeous. The lack of a Mantelpiece shows real imagination, and you did a nice job on that. Miss Natalee. ✨️ 🌲

I am loving watching you decorate your new house. I love your confidence and how you just get in there and do it. Wow! You’re like an acrobat on that ladder. Everything’s looking beautiful. I absolutely love what you did with the faux mantle. That tree is gorgeous. I love what you did with the ribbon and clusters of ornaments. The photos of your children are a lovely touch. You did a remarkable job in such a short time. I love your new house. I can’t wait to see what you do in the future. I adore you so much. 🥰 Have a very merry Christmas. God’s blessings to you and your family now and into and throughout 2024. ☺️❤️🙏🏼🌲

With a wood burning fireplace, there are usually codes regarding space required between the firebox & anything else flammable…like a wood mantle. Please check before taking out the tile or making any changes to the fireplace.

If this is your forever home, then it is worth the investment to do stone from the floor to the ceiling. Placing a substantial wood mantle would be idea, and you could put sconces on for additional decor that work off of a dimmer switch. I have seen this done in Idaho and Utah, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I would look at Architectural Design and other books and magazines for inspiration.
