People That We Love (Drummer and Naomi, The Expanse)

- Here it comes, Drummer and Naomi. The title of the video, while it was partially used for the bigger picture in the show, is an apt way of describing their relationship in my opinion. Not only can it be taken for their love for one another, but their outside relationships played a big factor in them ultimately clashing. From Naomi's past to her next family, and Drummer's choices with her own family, all had an impact on their personal relationship.
I wanted to keep the vid fairly balanced, with some softer and angstier moments, and showing both their perspectives. From seeing one another for who they are even back on Tycho, to the inevitable clash because of their differences in how they approach the larger politics of the Belt. Their mistakes, how they try to make up for them, how underneath it all they both want to see each other, and lastly a rather open ending for them for whatever could have come next.

This video breaks my heart in the best way 😭I agree with the previous commenter, there was definitely abundant nuance to their relationship in the show proper but your vid really underscores the depth of everything that factored into it and how they all connect, in a very gratifying way. You also capture the absolute immensity of expression Cara Gee can somehow fit into every tiny little action/expression (like Drummer's almost shoulder-check/smile at 0:11.... you get it). Definitely a latecomer to the series but I also just wanted to also say thank you for this!

And oh, absolutely, they both knew what they were doing with subtle yet meaningful expressions that amplified their chemistry.

@Ardelin_ I have to admit that Dom's acting choices and straight don't go together asjsbsknd. There are other reason why they could be kept apart (like their different approaches regarding their ideology) but yeah thank you again! I really wanted to showcase all their internal and external factors that affected their relationship despite being two people that arguably love and are drawn to each other.
The fuck you bit is so poignant. Most of Drummer's ship family has been killed or left her and now Naomi is asking her to turn her ship against more Belters, even if it is Marco's allies.
