- Let's find out if 275's really do work on the stock 9 inch rims!
Check out my review of these tires soon! www.nittotire.com
Got a nail in my stock 245's, on 9 inch rims, and was on the way to Dallas to get the catch can! Can't drive there with a nail in my tire, so off to Discount Tire, who did an amazing job and was super awesome to me. They had these tires in stock so I went for them! Will 275's fit!? - Авто та транспорт
Nice to see someone excited about their ride not many of us ever get that feeling,
Beautiful color man! Metallic Cascade Green is my choice for my Challenger.. nice ride, live well and be safe. Blue Skeleton
I like the offset with 245 in front 275 in back. looks cool af
Stephen Dennis
Agreed 👍
Yes, Awesome. I got that setup on my Scat Pack now. Rides pretty good too, Big big difference more traction, quicker take off more pick up instantly.
You’re going to like them. That’s what I am running smooth ride
Thank you! I think I’m going bigger tires as well!!!
Great video! Looking to do the same thing to my 2020 Scat Pack.
Do you still have the Green Hornet? Would like to see an update and how it held up over the years.
Looks good. Im gonna go with 255s up front and 275 in the rear on my challenger. currently have 255s rear and 245s up front
Nice! thanks! good luck thanks for watching!
Blizo Brasko Baby! Go 245, 275, or 305. Any other will mess up your ride height and speedo because the sidewall height won’t match
Looks good I want 275s on my charger..
Glad to see they torqued the lug nuts.
What size rims are they? 8j or bigger? I'm looking to put 265 tyres on my 8j wheels but have been reading conflicting reports about whether they'll fit (not same car as yours just a boring suv?)
Car looks like mine ,but With the black top.. nice bro. I'm thinking of getting 275 in the back as well.
Nice I’m about to go 275 all around. Nitto would be my choice too. How are they?
Omg I need those tires and the catch can , I have a 2016 . The fuse /reset works , I done it the other day. Can you post the link for the catch can . Cheers
Is your setup 245s in the front or you did 275s front and back?
Nice. I was going to do a catch can and 275 tire. Where are you located?
Can we run 285/295s on these wheels?
Did you use the same rim that you had before with the 275?
2015 srt charger 295/35r20 square, 20x10 wheels with an 18mm offset.. Completely flush, no rubbing.
Yep I’m going to a 275 on the rear of my scat pack soon
Looks great... u can even do 295 I'm the back without changing the rim... it gives it the Look ur looking for!! Leave the 275 in the front though... Looks good with the 275 all around
Does 275 not rub the spindle in the front?
I need to run wider tires for soft sand... is it safe to run 245/50 (9.5 wide) on a 6.5 " wide steel rim? I did for over 5 years previously and want to do it again on a van. The recommendation is 7" wide steel min.
Did you find out the answer? I'm in a similar situation and don't know if it'll be safe or not
nice i have a v6 and i want to put 275 on all 4 so is that ok?? and would it feel different when driving? and what about bumps would it feel the same or softer or harder??
u don’t need 275’s for a v6 save ur money
What are those wheels called?
How much did these two run you bud!?
You think they would look good on a 2007 srt8 Charger
What’s the widest tire you can put on the rear with stock wheel?
275's anything bigger you'd need a 10 inch wheel. I'm going for the 315 rear 275 front offset
Your little jump shot edits to try to go with music really fucks me up man. I just wanna see some tire action so I can get an idea oh how they gonna look on my truck
Mine came stock with 4 275 square. I am curious if the front can support a 285. My stock rims are wide enough, 9.5
James Woods do you rub at all with the 275s up front?
James Woods finally you put 285??? I got 9.5 too
🔥🔥🔥 is your rim 8.5
no spacer needed?
I have a 2015 shaker and the mopar lite weight wheels, I thought they are 20x8 not 20x9?
The optional forged wheels are 9"
Most of us who track our cars run 10 inch rims in the front with a 295 and or 285 with 11 inch rim in the back 305 that seems to be a fantastic set-up for me of course my car is not stock so I suppose that has to do with quite a bit as well
That is what im thinking of running once i get her boosted!
How much does wheels cost you?
Yo that looks like the discount tire I used to work at lol
Hope you know those tires will wear out quick.
Soo . The 275 fit whit stock rims on the scat pack. No rubbing?.
__JUDAS i have 275 on all wheels and no rubbing
Mota 275/40/20 or 275/45/20?
Awesome video. A he torque your wheels using a torque stick and torque wrench at the same time lol
Bro, great video, so I assume you didn't have to change your rim size? Also with the 275 Nittos did it require any spacers? dope video!!!!
Mango_392 thanks! Nope the rims are fine for this size tire and no spacers!
Mango_392 Nope, I run the same setup on my charger as well. 😊
do the 275 work on the front? i want to go as big as possible as traction is an issue
Matt Carafa yes you can, ive ran 275 all around on my 2010 srt and also my 2014 srt. Plus on the 2010 ive even ran 305. Got more pics on my insta
@@jordan23fann thanks, I think im gonna try to throw some 275s all the way around my scat on the stock wheels, that way i can rotate and maximize tire life
Matt Carafa good choice! Plus u will feel better handling with the wider fronts tbh
@@jordan23fann when I first bought the car I thew a set of subwoofers in it, had the radio all the way up merging onto the highway red lining in third gear the rear end broke free at 70 mph- didn't hear what the engine or tires were doing. Got a bit sideways, aimed at the mid section of tractor trailer, scared the shit out of me and im sure everyone around me, had total control of the car but didn't think this was even a possibility at 70, just let off the gas and the rear end settled down. Did the speed limit the rest of that trip, and no loud music till 5th or 6th anymore- should have just listened to the music the engine makes instead.
lol "I hit it and stuck to the ground thats the first in this car" XD I feel ya, 245s in these V8s don't do squat...
Been thinking about this bc I put the fucker on skip mode off amd just have a blast swinging my tail lol I wouldn’t be a swinger after new tires wider
What's the width on your rear wheels
Trump lost
Can you run the 275/40/20 on the front ?
Dad at Home yes
Discount tire gladly installed 275 on your stock? Isn't that a violation?
I'm getting nitto 275s put on my 06 charger rt Monday 6/15/20 can't wait
@Fred Trump I went with aftermarket hellcat replicas staggered
@Fred Trump and 4 275 desert storm tires
@Fred Trump delinte all season tires
How are the tires holding up? These are all season correct?
i am beyond impressed with the wear on these. I am extremely rough, and after 8k miles they still have the full indicators on the side of the tire when they are new. With all the burnouts i have done and the driving style, its honestly unbelievable how well these have held up. The guy who sold them to me said i would get inane mileage out of these, and they were not kidding. Thanks for watching!
How much did a pair of 275s run
Those nittos from online are about 325 for 2. At discount tire probably close to 400.
I have 295 on stock scat rims. No rubbing.
mlunden11 mines came with 275s, can i run 295s or 305s in the back with no problem?
Jimmy’gimmee’gimmee 305 ? You witless need a 10.5 or 11’ rim IMO safety wise. 275 works well on a 9 ‘ rim.
I put 305/35/20 on my stock rim of my 2018 charger
Do you have the dynamics package?
That’s dangerous
Joseph Giambrone on a 20x8 wheel??? Are you still alive?
😂😂😂
Are 275/45/20? Or 275/40?
I think 40 because it will even out with the front (on height). 45 will be too big in my opinion
So do you have the stock 8 inch rim or is it 9 inch
Pretty sure there are stock 9" wheels on a newer Challenger.
Is it mandatory to lower the tire hight from the stock 245 45 when going to a wider tire? So 245 45 in the front and 275 40 in rear?
Maurice Nelson Nope. You can though if you want to keep the front and back relatively the same size but I think it looks better with the same aspect ratio all around. There’s a calculator on fitment industries website somewhere
Hey if you still need help, the 275/40 measures 110 mm in height from the wheel to the top of the tread (sidewall height) and a 245/45 measures in at 110.25mm. The difference is barely noticeable.
I went to my local discount tire, and they said they wouldn't do it. I have a 2016 RT plus with stock 245/45/20 and wanted to install 275/40/20. They said no unless I was getting bigger wheels, it's not safe.
Cobra hahahahaha well they are very wrong. Someone there probably has a strong opinion and is forcing it on people. Show them this video. Or go to another one. Someone else will be glad to serve you I'm sure
A 275 40 20 tire requires a 20x9 to 20x10.5 rim. Anything smaller would put you in danger. People don't read specs of tires and go by what other people say.
hahahahahaha why would dodge sell 275 tires on a 9.5 rim!!! read the damn tire specs and get off my page ahahahahaha
@@raytobar7020
@@thegoldeneye8934 I know what tire specs are and follow them. I am allowed to reply on what I know. Get off your page for what?
@@raytobar7020 So 275/40 is ok for a 20x9 then right..?
wider is better trust me old post
but i went 305s all the way round
handles like a go cart i love it
on 9 inch?
U should in front 255
my hellcat has 275/40/20's allway around
No rub? , I want 275s all the way around on my SCAT...so 275/40/20 is it vs. 275/45/20?
BIG Dave no sir not at all
Not a fan of just any shop to touch my wheels especially the tire. Dude took off the 1st tire and literally spun the wheel around so the the front wheel was leaning against the rotor/lugs... then quickly grabbed it... if I'm not the one curbing/scuffing my own wheels. No random careless tire guy is going to lol
Damn dude you would loose your mind if you got some 305.
it will happen after I add power lol thanks for watching!
TheGreenHornet I had to do it on my Hellcat. I may even go up to 315.
what did you have to do spacer and rim wise? anything different? the 275s are what all of these cars should come with standard, and its still no where close to enough lol
TheGreenHornet I have a charger so I can’t say for sure what you would have to do on the challenger. But I didn’t have to get any spacer for the 305. With a 25mm off set they fit perfectly. But I may have to get a spacer for 315.
thats what ive heard from Challenger side as well thanks for the info!
Stock suspension
Whats the rim size
16s
The stock 2018 Rt rims will support a 255 tire at best. Anything larger will bulge over the wheel. I would go 275 if it safe. You risk separation.
That nail hole, most likely could have been plugged or patched. On the other hand, I wouldn't trust the repair at the speeds your challenger is capable of.
Yo that back and forth editing was giving me such a headache like fuck man
👂Listen up Challenger RT Scat Pack owners with stock 9inch wheels who are looking to upgrade your tires. Check out these, most bang for your buck tires. ua-cam.com/video/Cz0w8Sw9dZM/v-deo.html m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DWS+06&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=74YR0DWS06XL&tab=Sizes Here's a review link you'll find very informative. ua-cam.com/video/Cz0w8Sw9dZM/v-deo.html One hell of a set(4) of 275/40ZR20 tires with a tread wear warranty of 50K miles and a UTQG number of 560 all for about $900. Over 1K positive reviews. Remember these are "all season" not like most performance tires that are "summer only". Big difference. ☝️Probably the best Ultra High Performance All Season tire available, hands down. Also the 245/40ZR20 are available for a smaller two front tire option. ($215) Now if you have the wider 11inch wheels, and for a better grip & bite on the "REAR" only, recommend two of these. m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DWS+06&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=135YR0DWS06XL&tab=Sizes Again the most bang for your buck, "REAR" only. ($287) 315's Wow. 🇺🇲Stay well. Go in peace.
275 all around...2010 r/t....
Putting bigger tire on stock rim is a waste and just for looks. You are only putting 245 worth of that 275 to the ground. Need wider rims to get a benefit. My 392 daytona has an 11 inch wheel in the rear with 315s. Nice car though!
I have 315s on the back and 275 at the front .
245 it’s too damn small for a 392
Justin Alvarez how wide can you go on a srt because I wanna try 275 but I wanna go ass wide as possible
Marquese Overton 315s stock rims . That’s as wide you can go. Any wider than that , you’ll need a wider rim
@@justinalvarez788 i heard you can only go to 275 on the stock rims safely
Mohammad Uddin you’re safe ! I have them on
I just don’t know what to think about this video...a long haired soft spoken hippie riding around in Texas with a cat in the back seat and a dog in the front seat on a beast looking ass muscle car with new tires, I’m confused by all this....I just don’t know, might have to subscribe 😂
Baaad idea to put off-spec tire width on rims that are too small...long run loss. Causes uneven wear because of the bulging. You’re over 1” larger than stock rims...marginal. Stick with your spec, or upgrade to larger rim. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/4rbB_jLp26w/v-deo.html
You let someone burrow your car...
I thought my editing was painful.
Think your phone has some cheeto dust clogging the mic
Sure they fit
And do exactly what a 245 would do..... bigger rim and tire =win. Bigger tire alone =waste. Beautiful car...
Agree
275's will have more contact than the 245's. Dodge puts 245's on the 8" wheel for the R/T's. These wheels are 9". 265's would probably be ideal, but there isn't much in the way of tires in that size to choose from. Same goes for their 9.5" wheel. 275 comes stock instead of a 285. Probably has more to do with cost and logistics for Dodge than anything. The people trying to put 305's on 9" wheels however, are wasting their money.
@@Jeremy_810 the fix is an 11' with 305. Perfect. All aroubd
Lose the music and get to the point!
I'm not trying to be a hater but this guy gave you piss poor advice all the way around. The only Nitto that I would put on my car will be nto5 555r or nto1. This guy clearly displayed his lack of knowledge regarding cars especially yours to suggest a tire that would be beneficial on a minivan. Why the hell would you want to Tire with a 500 treadwear? You have a high-power car I'm not trying to be rude but that guy gave you piss advice if you want to try real tire and have I must have got concerns about performance I will happily send you specs of three tires that are worth every penny
I'm interested in a tire setUP on a2007 Chrysler Aspen 5.7 I'm slowly working on
