I am amazed as Samuel breath control. Perfect singing and beautiful piano playing on a fantastic Steinway and of course beautifully tuned and as another commentator said great sound engineer. Im reduced to tears at the ability of these two great artists to create beauty in music. Thanks Schubert without you we would not have such wonderful music.
Nacht und Träume (Night and Dreams) is the last television play written and directed by Samuel Beckett. It is a wordless play and the only sound is that of a male voice humming, then singing, from the last seven bars of Schubert’s lied Nacht und Träume. Schubert was a composer much loved by Samuel Beckett - "the composer who spoke most to him … whom he considered a friend in suffering" - and this particular song was one of the author’s favourites.
Beautiful, singing and beautiful piano player. What kind of piano is it. The bass is so powerful it must be very hard to control. The piano is so beautifully tuned. The recording engineer is amazing - certainly one of the most interesting recordings ever. Amazing what great artists can do. Just when you think you have heard everything along come these two gentlemen. Thanks.
Very interesting & beautiful version. Wonderful voice & singing. Very interesting & beautiful piano accompaniment as well (I know why "interesting", just couldn't avoid saying this since the beginning).
My goosepimples have goosepimples....Absolutely angelic!
Sehr schön! Wunderschön! Gänsehaut beim Zuhören bekommen! Tolle Stimme!

for me David Daniels and Ian Bostricht are the bench marks. This is good but not great
