Trying to run Deadly Premonition on the Steam Deck

Use Decky loader and install ProtonDB. The Badges let ya know the difficulty to run the game, and also show how other peeps got theirs to work/fail review.

For the sake of your sanity just emulate the PS3 version via RPCS3.

I agree. So far everything is working, but the audio keeps stuttering. I'll probably work on it on the side for sh!t and giggle.

@@superrobato4887 this games has a hard enough time running on a normal PC, at the Steam version that is. Emulate the Switch or PS3 version and save your sanity.

I really wanted to use the windows version because for some reason that i'm still trying to figure it out the ps3 emulator is closing by itself at random periods of time and it's driving me crazy

So far, almost everything is working, but the audio is silent. Not worth playing yet since there's a lot of cutscenes in this game.

Here's what I put in case ya wondering.
I use GE-proton 8-6.
Here's the launch option, so the cutscenes won't crash:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=b" %command%
I changed the configuration to keyboard and mouse instead of joycon. Whatever reason Joycon causes the game to drift.
So far I got nothing when it comes to audio.

@@darijoswiftie Make sure its GE-proton 8-6. Other than that. I recommend playing the emulator or run window OS.
