Just an update make sure you use a 13.8v bench power supply. A 12v bench supply even that will do 5 amps, will also lead to random failures. But it seems to work with a 13.8v bench supply. Luckily it only took me an hour to work that out. The 12v 5 amp supply seems to work fine for cas modules.
The tool is powerful, but getting your head around how to use it take a bit of messing around. The support and owners manual is terrible. Similar to this issue, to do istap cas modules, you have to disconnect it from the internet, then run a speed 4 on the connection. Took me a long time to work out.
@@ZeroTo60Tube Yes, pretty frustrating knowing that if they actually took time to get manual translated correctly by an english speaking person it could save lots of time and money! It may actually be a good tool but its gotten a lot of negative feedback due to issues like youve just mentioned, simple but expensive when you have to brick modules to learn how it works!
What do you think of the latest updated version of BIMTool? Claims to read ISN via OBD on several versions of DME. No need to connect via cables or even touch DME. Great videos! Cheers from a USA auto locksmith!
@@ZeroTo60Tube Do you know if its any better on newer cars like F serie bmw or do you think it will have same issues as you have had? I really dont wanna brick a dme or ruin something in FEM/BDC.
Hi. I have a question please. The ISN in MSD80/MSD81 is long but the ISN in CAS is short. So, what to do in this case? How to write the long ISN in CAS?
So what are all the modules you can program/update using bimtool? What is the scope of cars it can work on too? E9x cars obviously, but what about e70 or other e series cars?
It lists pretty much everything for all e and F series. Comes with a network cable for doing F series. But i am very skeptical. I havent had the balls to try it on my car yet. Not the module programming/coding anyway.
Did the injector recode fix the issue with the Afrs? I'm having the same issue it seems since I went backend flash , have changed all 02s and band clamps for turbos and no luck
It did on my car. Mind you it still took a little bit of time to adapt out the issue. From what I went through trying to fix. Need to make sure injectors are properly coded and not leaking. Same with the o2 sensors, make sure they are working properly and not mixed anywhere. The primary being mixed the car will hardly run, but secondary o2’s being mixed up is harder to track down.
That's odd because never touched the Injectors but only since bef will I have 02 issues , and it's identical to yours , reset and it will sometimes last 10 min sometimes 2 weeks but itl randomly at any temp and time typically go lean on afrs and call 02 codes , have changed all 4 sensors 3 times now and no luck

Bimtool is just so hit and miss. I have the current software. However i just don’t think it supports everything in a straight forward way.
Puede leer isn de tcm 6HP ? Gracias 🙏 eres todo un profesional . Felicidades 🍾
Would you recommend this tool with a tool like FEM-BDC Testing Tool (bench) for dme isn read and fem key programming?
It will do it, but my gosh it’s hit and miss.

You have to do module exchange in bimtool and it will let you write the long isn to the cas.
@@ZeroTo60Tube Thanks a lot

Hi do you recommend this tool or no I have a e series that I need to do retro fits e70 x5m 2011 will it work don’t want to spend my money on crap
The tool works, but its a nightmare to get your head around. On the same note, i dont think its any good for retro fits. I would use winkfp and NCS.
Abd with next update will have same bug. It was sane in all versions before
I guess that VVDI Bricktool comment was responsible for version 1.8🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
bimtool pro can synch or read and write isn dme and cas?
It can read ISN from MSD and MSV series DMEs and it can read and write to most cas moudels.
@@ZeroTo60Tube tools can synch dme and cas?
Keep those MSD80 modules. They are still worth a bit.
Good point especially considering I can mate them to someone’s key and cas pretty easily.
So I just saw a million dollar bogan review on the 2021 M4 in black.. kinda looks like a 300z in matt black with an god awful grill
We see update is once more bad. It's extreme instabile, lost communication

First
Every time I watch this guy's video, I get the feeling that he doesn't read the instructions for the tool he's using.
Firstly as a man you should never read instructions. Secondly none of these china tools come with any useful instructions.
