What a well written scene. I goes from warm and friendly (neighbor walking dog) to confrontational to shocking (Jack sniffing around) to Vera humiliated (punching up the neighbor). A special actress indeed.
Poor Vera. While she got wiser (and more mellow) in her later years, the younger version of herself would frequently shoot her mouth off only to shoot herself in the foot.........
