i sorta wonder if it would be big enough for something like small snails or shrimp though? im not sure how much space tiny animals need though so maybe thats a bad idea lol
@@Emzotic that’s what I do when I see something that shouldn’t be used what it says it’s supposed to be used. I have a Senegal bichir that loves to chill in logs and I have a glass vase in there that he chills in. I made a cave hide out of a Rubbermaid tub for my fire eel and he loves it
My first thought was "what a cute vase" but it would be cute to plant an aquatic plant in with some rocks and put it in an aquarium.... I like the way you think
As soon as the word "fish bowl" was said, I immediately started to think about the bowl I used to use for my goldfish when I was a kid and before I knew better. I thought it was cute at the time. Honestly it still is and I still use it for decoration without any fish in it. And then I was immediately embarrassed when the fish-shaped fish bowl, the exact one I have, was the first one to be clicked on. It was NOT $146 when I got it. Probably closer to like $20-30 at petsmart. Would recommend for decoration, but definitely not for fish. There's no good way to put a filter in it. My fish were literally gasping for breath and swimming around at the top of the bowl after a day and they never lived long. I had to clean it daily to keep them alive and that still wasn't enough. Honestly I'm surprised those bowls are still being made.
I wish there were better things on Wish in general. There's not a whole lot on Wish that I'd feel confident knowing that I'm not getting some bait and switch POS.

And it’s awful to think some pet stores think that’s okay too
True! My mom has 4 chinchillas (they have a lot of space now) but we used to be misinformed because of that! Also... Rabbits are neglected as well when it comes to that :(

Seeing that lone guinea pig in the "ferret" enclosure broke my heart! You NEED at least 2 guinea pigs & 2 guinea pigs should have at least 10 square feet of floor space. Guinea pigs are extremely active & social animals & are so often misunderstood :(
Ok I have to say something about that first "fish bowl". I worked at a store that used to sell those and they literally would come with a sticker on them saying "for decorative use only". I worked for homegoods for 11 years and we would get those glass fish sculptures all the time. We sold them for 20$ to 25$, not anywhere close to even 100$ . Also we had a section for pet products and this was NEVER sent to us as a pet product and homegoods isn't a pet specialty store by any stretch. I would have never in my life thought of putting a fish in one of those. That's just absolutely insane and so overpriced as well. When I saw it show up I was in shock at the price and that it was listed for pets. Ok now that I have that out of my system, thank you so much for this video I'm glad to see you pushing people everyday to do better for their animals.
When I was 6-ish years old I got a fair fish. Everyone knows that fair fish are not supposed to live more than a week because they are already mistreated and are basically dying when you get them. That did not happen. I had it for 7 years. We got him friends from Walmart. He ate them. He went cannibal and ate them. And got huge. I finally gave him to a friend and she did take good care of him for the time she had him but she had him for 2 weeks before he went belly up.
A similar thing happened with me ages ago. Got a few fair gold fish, kept them in tank outside, nor filtration, no lights, nothing, and only changed the water when it turned so green that you couldn't see in the tank. They ended up thriving in that tank, they did better than any fancy goldfish my parents got from the pet/fish store. Kept the around for a few years before eventually donating to them to our local fish store.
Same thing happened to a childhood friend of mine, she won a fish and her parents said no to keeping it so my parents took it. We already had goldfish in a 100gal tank so it was no prob taking it in. His name was macaroni and he lived for about 15 years. I loved all of our fish but man are goldfish messy xD

I really appreciate videos like this. I grew up with a mom who was a pet impulse buyer. So many pets were cycled through my home, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pretty much anything you can think of. Because of that, I've grown very wary of getting pets and I always do as much research as a can before getting one (as everyone should). It's really sad how pet stores and such advertise such bad husbandry for so many pets. Cause most people would think "oh yeah I'll trust what the pet store gives me they know about animals" when in reality so many of the products that main stream shops sell are not fit for any animal to live in. DO YOUR RESEARCH! It's so important! ❤
Those helmets look like they were intended to be on a keychain and didn't look very comfortable on the poor hen, squishing her little wattles like that cannot be comfy. Now I am picturing a hen with saddle and a "bonnet" to protect her head lol
Small pets really do get the short end of the stick when it comes to care and it's so sad. I know many times they're impulse purchases for people. I really wish they weren't (no pun intended! lol). Even doing the minimum amount of research on any pet you're interested in will bring up enclosure sizes. I've been wanting a small pet over the last year or so. After doing tons of research, there were just some I knew I didn't have the room for their enclosure. Haven't had one in over 6 years and came back to wanting a reptile. I just got a crested gecko this past week who'll be 8 months old next week. Before I even purchased him I set up a 20-gallon verticle bioactive enclosure in which I constructed an entire custom background. I already have plans for a larger enclosure for when he's bigger. It's so much fun to set them up and then watch your pet enjoy them!

Poor fishies, who'd think to put a living being into something so teeny-tiny 😖 ?!?! I don't keep fishes and I'm not exactly an expert at biology - but even I can fathom that a being that filters water to breath definitely needs more water than any of those can hold 😣. Plus, I won't ever try to keep those siamese fighting fish in groups, they're loners aren't they?
Yes, it’s generally safer to keep Betta fish alone, rather than in groups. One male with multiple females can sometimes work in a BIG aquarium - like a 6ft planted with lots of space to move away and hide, but definitely not multiple males.
I made a wardrobe into a ferret enclosure by making a wire mesh door for the front and putting vents in the back and made three tiers connected by tunnels (with hammock, a feather box, litter tray and an igloo included). He absolutely loved it, and obviously spent time following me round the house everyday (he was an elderly rescue so I only had him a few years and he was intact so I couldn't get another for company but he spent most of his waking hours with me or on walks outside!)
Anything that isn't a solid, smoothish surface just makes me cringe. I'm imagining myself trying to walk barefoot across something similar to that first ferret enclosure, and frankly I'm not convinced even my super-caloused feet could handle it.
I appreciate your channel so much! You are helping animals because some of these products are not safe for them🥺💖 Also, Dobby and Niffler are Adorable 😍
I thought the chicken socks were Amazing I absolutely HATE the ferret habitat.I have two Russian dwarf hamsters and I can't see myself buying that habitat EVER. Say hi to niffler and DOBBY!!! Can't wait for the next video!!!!
People really need to do proper research and take getting an animal seriously before actually getting one. I once worked at a local garden and pet store and I had a lady come in wanting a critter keeper for a bearded dragon! 😡😞
Nooooo those hammy cages are terrible. Ikea has a glass shelf you can get for $58 and remove the shelves for a perfect enclosure. It is large, cost effective and easy to clean. My daughters have 3 winter white hamsters each individually housed separate in the ikea detolf with plenty of hides, substrate, natural apple wood toys, appropriate exercise wheel. It cost less to get products that last and work. Those tiny cages make me cringe.
omg I actually watch soda pets and saw this video and it reminded me of her series. im so happy you actually got the idea from her, i love those videos she made and was actually hoping youd make something like this :)
10:57 honestly I think it would be great for feeder insects, especially the smaller ones like mealworms or Turkistan roaches or small dubias, so not good for the chameleon but potentially great for the chameleon's food
Would it be ok to just put a ferret in a clearly loved pets pen without an enclosure? And great video, the chicken legs scared me and also had me rolling on the floors laughing :)
Em Can you do a video where you evaluate our enclosures? I remodeled an armoire into a veiled chameleon enclosure and I would love to see/hear your thoughts!
Hi I was wondering if u could help me, only just today I got a bearded dragon but I can’t get him to eat veggies I gave him a bowl of veg and a couple locust but he hasent touched the bowl of veg I was wondering if you knew how I could get him to eat it? Thank you and btw I really love ur videos !
I watched you plant tour and I want to add I love watching new plant parents!!! I would suggest using only distilled water on your peace lily. You will find that some plants are very sensitive to the chlorine and minerals in faucet water. Dreceana is another coming plant that prefers distilled or filters water. Hope this helps if you haven’t tried this yet.
The dish below the water bottle in the hamster villa is a soy sauce dish I saw on Aliexpress. I bought 4 leaf shaped ones from a different series as cute water bowls.
Hey em! I’ve had my feeder fish goldfish for about 2 years now and she seems okay, but I wanted you opinion. She’s about a inch and I have her in a 20 gallon tank. Is that okay?
My goldfish lived 5 years in a nice big aquarium. One day they just suddenly died. No idea what happened, I ph tested the water and it was normal, the tank was clean, the filter was working... but one morning I woke up and they were just dead. I was so sad. They were good fish.
Personally, when I want to learn little things about animals (like what not to do and just small facts), I like to go to your channel and Soda Pets. You both seem like amazing people and are super great. Love you and your videos.
Most of these are sold at major pet chains as well which is the saddest part, the wall bubbles for fish are everywhere I’ve seen it myself at two separate chains
My aunt loves spiders and keeps tons of them. she loves the acrylic containers and she upgrades them everytime the spider molts and grows. Most of her tarantulas are really small, like an inch or less so they dont take up much space.
I actually got the chicken feet socks a while ago. They look just as hideous in real life but everytime I wear them my boyfriend has something to laugh. Weirdly enough they're also really good quality and comfortable. 🥲
I think the chicken helmets may be to prevent the rest of the flock from picking at ones comb, but I would not keep this on a chickens head long enough for it to be effective so wth are they for AAAAAAAAAAA
The Clearly Loved Pets pen looks great... would it be suitable for rats? I’ve never been able to find a pen that my rats can’t climb out of. Free range time has to be on my bed or couch and supervised. I’d like to let them out in a pen but the little buggers can climb anything lol.
13:20 so not that i would do this, but would that be large enough for even a mouse? I've had mice in the past and I wouldn't even put them in the "hamster" cages most places sell due to how small they are. Just curious if it would be more suitable for an animal smaller than a hamster.
I have 2 comet goldfish and currently have them in a big bin with filtration but it's it's only about 28 gallons which is way too small for them (they are currently about as long as a fun size candy bar) I had to move during covid so our new place is tiny and we already struggledto find a place to put the tank we have. Outside is not an option for me. Is there a better way to get them more space that any fish owners know of?
I love listening to good analysis and reviews of animal products as it can be difficult when starting with new animals to find accurate information. As a child I saved up for a huge tank to save five feeder fish and then we transferred them to an outdoor pond. They lived many years but they produce a lot of fecal matter lol

@@Emzotic male bettas do get deoressed alone, they always have a group in nature and they always libe in very large places
Em: doing her opening
Me: is immediately distracted by the two little ones wrestling in the background
Online shopping for animals is so frustrating omg I tried online shopping for my guinea pig and gave up after an hour of searching
Yikes! If you were looking for an enclosure, Clearly Loved Pets is brilliant!
Hello i have a code Wish -80% : c d q g w d l s
I found your channel from Soda Pets. You both have great content. :)
Anything that isn't a solid, smoothish surface just makes me cringe. I'm imagining myself trying to walk barefoot across something similar to that first ferret enclosure, and frankly I'm not convinced even my super-caloused feet could handle it.
I appreciate your channel so much! You are helping animals because some of these products are not safe for them🥺💖
Also, Dobby and Niffler are Adorable 😍
I don't know if you did that on purpose or his voice type but it's niffler not bigler
@@mfaron3777 I know I did Niffler
Thank you so much for your lovely comment!! Bonus weasels say hi!!!
@@Emzotic awe!
I thought the chicken socks were Amazing I absolutely HATE the ferret
habitat.I have two Russian dwarf hamsters and I can't see myself buying that habitat EVER.
Say hi to niffler and DOBBY!!! Can't wait for the next video!!!!
I love when you review the ferret cages! The first one you show sooooo many people put their chinchilla(s) in it and it makes me very upset :(
People really need to do proper research and take getting an animal seriously before actually getting one. I once worked at a local garden and pet store and I had a lady come in wanting a critter keeper for a bearded dragon! 😡😞
Whoa!!! Seriously!? That’s SO infuriating! Did she end up buying something more appropriate??
Very first fish bowl we used as a tip jar at the restaurant I used to work at
I'm a big fan of both you and Soda Pets!
What brand is the play pen you were talking about at 9:54 ?
I bought that first fishbowl for my axolotl
To put in his 30 gallon tank so he can chill in it.
omg I actually watch soda pets and saw this video and it reminded me of her series. im so happy you actually got the idea from her, i love those videos she made and was actually hoping youd make something like this :)
"I DONT WISH TO UNDERSTAND WISH" YOU KILLED ME EM! I'VE MISSED YOUR REGULAR VIDEOS! YOU ARE AMAZING! XXX
Please make some more videos about Giant African Land snails I am getting one soon and I need alot of advice xx
I love watching your videos while I work on my small business ( I sell bird toys)... there’s something about your voice that’s so calming 😊
Really hope you do another video like this! Would love to see you react to common rabbit enclosures
You seem much happier!
omg!!! your ferrets in the background are hillarious!!
Do you have any transparent pet pen recommendations? I have a beardie and want to get him something, but I have a small space
I love watching your videos with my dog I just love the vibes and being close to her
The dish below the water bottle in the hamster villa is a soy sauce dish I saw on Aliexpress. I bought 4 leaf shaped ones from a different series as cute water bowls.
hi Emzotic I love your channel these cages and products is horrendous for pet . why do people buy these for pet these are torture devices .
Some people really don’t know any better 🥺
@@Emzotic yeah and they ask pet store people for good husbandry and the pet store people give them bad husbandry .
They were good fish.
fancy goldfish live 5-10 years it was out of your control
Soda pets, jades jungle but especially emzotic are my fave youtubers! Keep doing what you love em!
I got those chicken socks as a gift, they are hilarious, but definitely not for everyday wear XD
Some of the novelty fish bowls would be really cool enclosures for small spiders
Oh I would kill for a collab with Soda pets.
I’m down! @sodapets
I would love to have one of those little wall bowls for a tiny water garden, maybe with a couple of tiny shrimp. But not even one fish.
I live where there's earthquakes. That thought of a glass bowl of water hanging up on my wall makes me very uneasy 😬
They work great for propagating plants such as the golden pothos. It saves room and looks nice too!
Em: talking about super important stuff
Me: watching ferrets in the background
Omg I am a huge fan of both you and Soda, this is great :)
Love you emzotic ❤️ give the doggo , ferrets, birds , skunks , turtles and reptiles a hug from me lol !
I now know what to get my mom for her birthday - CHICKEN SOCKS! She’s become a crazy chicken lady
THOSE SOKS ARE AMAZEING! Seriously, i love them! I want them!!
My aunt loves spiders and keeps tons of them. she loves the acrylic containers and she upgrades them everytime the spider molts and grows. Most of her tarantulas are really small, like an inch or less so they dont take up much space.
I love soda pets especially her birds. I love this kind of videos. Yo makeup on fleak tho!!!
You’re SO kind! Thank you!!! Soda pets is awesome!
I actually got the chicken feet socks a while ago. They look just as hideous in real life but everytime I wear them my boyfriend has something to laugh. Weirdly enough they're also really good quality and comfortable. 🥲
Saw a guy training in them, did look adorable
The chicken helmets are so funny LMFAO
I think the chicken helmets may be to prevent the rest of the flock from picking at ones comb, but I would not keep this on a chickens head long enough for it to be effective so wth are they for AAAAAAAAAAA
The Clearly Loved Pets pen looks great... would it be suitable for rats? I’ve never been able to find a pen that my rats can’t climb out of. Free range time has to be on my bed or couch and supervised. I’d like to let them out in a pen but the little buggers can climb anything lol.
Maybe you can check out Emiology's channel, I believe she has a pen and she has done a reaction to other rat owners free roam areas.
I have just came across your videos. I used to watch you all the time. I'm happy I found you again. But are you making new videos 😊
Those chicken socks are the best I used them for a chicken costume last Halloween
13:20 so not that i would do this, but would that be large enough for even a mouse? I've had mice in the past and I wouldn't even put them in the "hamster" cages most places sell due to how small they are. Just curious if it would be more suitable for an animal smaller than a hamster.
My parents bought me those chicken socks for my 16th birthday a few years ago 😂 They are quite fun in my opinion lol
Hello I have a code wish -80% : c d q g w d l s
Can anyone tell me what she says at 14:25? About ventilation, that they can *** pretty badly?
I will get a clearly loved pets pen for my future bearded dragon they look awesome :) great video em
Yes that would be amazing! With a good, strong basking area!
@@Emzotic yesssss I'm going to get chicken socks for a gag gift for my sister 😂😂
Yay another video from Snow White
I didn't know I wasn't subbed. I like this channel. The helmets can be good for attaching cameras.
Do you still have those pet leeches you did a video about once? You inspired me to get some myself and I love them!
Still awake at 3am having had flashbacks, your sleep paralysis comment made me lol.
I love you so much 😂😂😂 i wish we were friends you always crack me up habahaha
Digital frensssss!!!
I would love that 🥺💖💖
Aww, little slinky babies in the corner playing while you do your intro
Love your commentary!!! 😭😭❤️
