Russian ballet is the real ballet. Only he excites and pleases the heart and soul. This is the Russian soul, Russian spirit, Russian civilization. Everything else is just dancing.

Ballet is born in French Court by italian choreographers. Russians surely have polished things, but deny the other schools from being referenced as Ballet is just a matter of taste and quite terrible itself.
Even so inside Russian Ballet there are different schools and Methods, if i remember right even the "american" style the Balanchine started by a Russian.
All the styles are good and are actual Ballet as it itself is like a prism with all his different faces, what come after is just personal taste.
And it's said by someone who highly regard the Vaganova Method.
