I think we need to get him the new marts 30K bass
If anyone can do it it is you big jeff
Definitely agree, time for an upgrade!
And preciate the DB 3515r recone I just recently got from you.
Arrived in good shape and your customer service staff was prompt and quick!
And a recone for that killer sub. Like others have said here the coil was probably damaged in the last video when Parker learned the hard way to break in extra stiff spiders. (8-10 hours full tilt 20hz on the bench) Once he gets a recone and a proper break-in I'd love to see what this combo can really do. I think he just scratched the surface.
Seeing him pick up the sub and mount it really shows how ridiculously massive this sub is 😮
Yeah man it’s heavy!
Damn bro that was crazy. It doesn't matter what people say at the end of the day this is your channel and your money if someone wants to sponsor you that great.
Yessir! I appreciate it man
I'm gonna throw this out there... Your sponsor, Alphahard Audio, has a beautiful half bridge amplifier AAK. 20,000.1d. You've seen what their subs at all levels can do. With a 20,000 watt amp, you'll never need another amp.
And it's half bridge too so I can take a lot more abuse than a full bridge
He deserves one of these amps.
As someone who has gone the surfboard route, it would be better to get two smaller amps. 20kW half bridge is going to have scary voltage rails, so if/when something does go wrong it's going to happen fast and with extreme destruction. They are harder and more dangerous to fix as well, selling them becomes an issue when it's time to move on. I would avoid >10kW amps like the plague.
@str8upkickyaindanuts They've got half bridge 8k's, too. He knows what the Deaf Bonce products can do.
We’ve always heard the term ‘all motor’ in the muscle car world, now it can used in car audio lol….that’s an INSANE subwoofer!! 💪
I would think that the coil got nicked when the spiders came apart and gave it a weak point and when you gave it alot of power it caused it to short out and fry your amp would be my guess. Bummer bro, it happens to the best of us. Keep on bassin on Parker.
I would agree. The coil rocked when he ripped the spider the first time, and probably rubbed the coating(glue) on the coil winding on the top plate. It caused an open coil, and therefore caused a dead short issue under load, in the gap...arched and bridged the gap. That can and will kill any amps output section. Sucks, but it happens.
Guess Emi need to replaced the amp
No cone control
Sub never blew! Just popped spider up and 1 side. Coil is not nicked. Sub still works fine. He didn't allow for proper break-in of the spider. Amp went out because that headway bank aint even close to what that amp needs for power
One guy said you lose credibility for doing sponsored videos I most certainly disagree you do not lose credibility due to sponsorship
Thanks man!!
That just means Parker is a bona fide bass stud if companies are taking notice of his killer content. Good job!
Gotta get paid, not hate
Well the guy that said that is an idiot lol how tf is parker supposed to make all this great content? Hed have to be a millionaire with no job lol obviously he needs a sponsor. Thats what any youtuber strives for.
@robertthabassheadjacobson4968 I agree. Stereo equipment isn't cheap, especially when you put 11 thousands watts through a sub lol. Great entertainment!
I've noticed that from full bridge amps if you push the too far too quick they will heat up way faster, and that sub is complete beast, I'd like to see what it does on a Korean amp
WOW!!!!! That was scary! I'm not sure how you could have avoided the amp failure, other than a fuse between the amp and sub?
As soon as you said the highest you ever had before was a 12" Sundown X V2, I smiled. because that's what I'm running in my car :)
Wow!! Now that 12" subwoofer bangs 👍
Hoping you can do a VFL Comp Signature sub as well as an American Bass King sub review.
Would love to see the king sub review myself
I just blew up my crescendo 17k caught fire just like that! Awesome video and time to upgrade!
You should check out the new dd audio z12000 amp.
I need to buy an extinguisher as well, for those just incase moments, on my video recordings. Glad you were able to put it out asap. Always remember these things can always get replaced!!!
Yessir! Could have been a lot worse
I keep a set of sky high 4/0 wire loppers in the car along with an extinguisher for this very scenario. Quicker to chop the wires than scramble for fuses/lugs. can save amp damage cutting power quicker as well
Time for a jp83
You handled that well. Great job showing everyone at the end of the day that we have to keep a cool head because we can always get the equipment back and safety first!! Sucks that it popped like that but its all a huge part of what we do.
I'll be cool to if I didn't have to BUY ANOTHER AMP lol
As someone with a permanent impairment due to a back injury means i could never own this sub after watching how you lifted into the back lol 😆
That motor just looks ridiculous 🤣 I love it!👏
Exactly 😂😂
PARKER YOU TOOK IT LIKE A CHAMP ! THUMBS UP BUDDY, TELL NEXT TIME. GOD BLESS ALL.
For future tests you might want to run an AC rated inline fuse between your amp and subs. The amperage rating of the fuse you will need to run will depend on the wattage and voltage output from the amp but this would save your amp next time you blow a sub as the fuse will blow instead..
On another note, it's cool you did get to spl test this sub and scored the best you've done for a single 12. I just metered my Orion HCCA 122 last night and did a 142.82 @ 39hz.
Would love to see a detailed video on what happened in this video, did the sub fail and take out the amp or did the amp just fail and the sub is still good?
Hey I just picked me up a splx 12 myself do u have some good specs For a single 12
@@lipiuuth
I don't have a HCCASPLX 12, I have the HCCA 12. They're very different subs to be honest and I'm not sure what the SPLX requires for a box but I'm running my HCCA 122 in a 2.5cuft net box tuned to 34hz on a Kicker KXA2400.1 (that apparently I set the gain with my sub level turned down before I metered 😆).
I know the SPLX was designed to be a burp sub in a very small box tuned a bit higher on a ton of power so I'd guess 1.5-1.75cuft net tuned to 36-38hz for the 12 but I'm not entirely sure.
I know the HCCA 122 is surprisingly musical when compared to other subs given its a SPL sub!
Thanks for replying I’ll figure it out ,right now I’m dealing with my truck not charging.changed out the alternator and fuses and still nothing anyways take care
That SMARTS. Haha. I can see it on fire inside the fan. Looking to see the teardown on that amp to see what frizzle frapped. What was the resistance factor
Sorry for your loss. You have my deepest condolences.
The sound a full bridge amp makes when it blows, followed by sparks and a smoke show. Freaks me out. I think I have full bridge PTSD.
Would like to see another video with that sub in a full work out, I bet it can hit higher db's
Part 2 is coming. With our new Tan spider pack. He won't do that again lol
That's a beast of a sub, insane. Can you get your hands on a Pierce Audio series 8k MOAB? 8000watt RMS (supposedly) I've never seen anyone test them. That would also be insane, and great to see
it would be neat to make a 2 piece baffle so you could mount the sub non-inverted
Yeah that would work!
Man after my own heart...full send. Stay safe dude.
Yessir!!
Stay sanitized!
Smart on the extinguisher... You can actually see the flames threw the fan hole we believe ya :)...
Yeah man I’m definitely glad it wasn’t any worse
"Yayo bought me everythanggg" Song HITS!
Always excited to see your content
Thanks man that really means a lot!
the part all bass heads hate the most, a blown amp.the feeling is all to real..Wish you could sent that amp over to barevids so he can do the repairs. and make a video of it .
I was worried for a sec you didn’t have a fire extinguisher. The one in my house is from the 1990s 😂😂😂
Yeah I’m fortunate that I did!
That's a bummer 😕 but that score was impressive 👏
Oh fudge I was shitting bricks when it flames up
Me too 😭
Great video as always bro! Sorry your amp blew 😔
It’s all good! Just how it goes sometimes
Love to see these insane setups! You are the best! I watched your Kicker video before I purchased speakers and an Sub. Appreciate the fun videos!
That's why I like to wire my subs in series. Better safe than sorry.
That amp was on fire for sure. I’m definitely keeping a fire extinguisher in my car now. Too bad the am blew. I really want to see what that sub can do.
So... Are you planning on doing a review on the American Bass KING 👑👑👑👑????
I’d like to!!
A good solid 20k half bridge would be able to take more abuse than a full bridge Parker. You're sponsored by Alphard which makes an awesome 20k and I know a few bass competitors who run them and love them. Them Korean amps will always take the abuse a Brazilian full bridge can't. And I bet you would have popped a 150 on a half bridge too.
It wouldn’t be louder, but most likely tougher. Still, Alphard has a lot of refurbished amps for sale which is evidence that the same thing happens to their amps.
They both are equally matched when it comes to failures fully bridge or half bridge it really comes down to build quality of either. People don't do enough research on how full bridge amplifiers produce it's power and try to extract all of it's capability and don't allow enough head room
I like to run Korean made amps strapped for that full bridged effect
@@yourmom-ii8ep - That’s true. Too many people run the impedance down too low.
the failure point was the sub. so no, it wouldnt have been any louder. the sub still wouldve blown. as far as i know, half bridge amps dont like having their speaker terminals shorted either.
in the amplifier was a capacitor or a resistor burned. it can repair from electricans.
Parker you should try getting a surge 10k for your next amplifier. I just got the 4k I'm in love. Korean power ❤️❤️
Can't think of anything cool to say, so just gonna leave a comment to help the algorithm. Sorry bout the amplifier homie. That sucks. My old Rockford Fosgate power series 500.1bdcp fried the other day so I know how it feels. Mine was substantially smaller than yours but I was attached to that old amp. Been beating on an old Cerwin Vega stroker 12 in a HUGE bandpass for years with it. It didn't go super loud, but it would drop lower than most systems running 15's. That's the way it goes though. Considering buying one of the Down4Sound JP series amps. They seem high quality and great power for a budget friendly price.
I appreciate it man! It’s all good, just how it goes
You got a sponsor! That’s exactly how you know your getting popular!
Hey Parker you Smoked that thang like a Texan Bbq Wow, I love your channel and what you do. Listen there are always going to be haters in this world no matter what you do buddy, But you do you and keep up the great work cause you are great and your Subscribers and fellow bass heads Love You and if it means watching a skit or commercial so be it.
Looking at it for a little while… seeing it inverted looks like a old air filter the ones that look like a shiny pan lol
Haha yeah it really does!
For something this insane, id say the spider needs to be sewn in and glued.
P.S. So sorry about your amp! We were looking forward to more videos with it!!!
Me too man! But it is what it is
@@ParkerTheBasshead sucks about the amp man. Damn, I see though the risk of full bridge amps vs Korean half bridge cause when I was wired at 1 ohm id go from 0 to wide open and be great. But I do have proto lithium and only around 3200 clamped. who cares about deaf bonce sponsoring you, that's your business and they are a damn good company in my experience. Had a deaf bonce machete sport 12 I beat the shit out of and it was ran on 4 times rms and lasted for a year before the shitty skar single 12 prefab killed it. They say 35hz or whatever on the skar single 12 box but it blew playing 30hz so something doesn't add up. Also blew a power acoustik gothic 12 with that skar box tuning with a 32hz tone the coil got too hot and locked up. Thank you for the videos though, you are a great guy. I've been watching you since the beginning and your videos are very informative and helpful to chose what sub to buy. Thank man. Be safe and don't blow no more amps. Need to get deaf bonce to throw you a big Korean half bridge amp to do your videos with.
I’m sorry about the amp brother thank you for the video I definitely enjoyed every second
Damn dude that was insane ! That amp is toast! Hopefully big Jeff hooks it up with another lol! Love the videos keep it up brotha 🔊🔊
Oh sh!t.... That thang be thangin....
Gonna have to get me a Super Team 15 ❤
My one teacher gave me 2 subwoofers and the spider came up on one I was able to glue it up now I have a good working subwoofer
You should try out some D4S JP amps. Korean half bridge amps are way stronger than the Brazilian full bridge designs. - More expensive, but worth every penny
The 146.9 came from him screaming NO!!!. Lol but damn sad to see the Amp went up in flames.
first time ive heard back to the hotel used in a sub demo
Awesome score! Definitely unfortunate about the amp bro. So did the sub blow and take the amp with it, or just the amp?
This subwoofer, probably had issues from when he popped the spider, from before this video? I think he said both blew?
Yep the sub blew and shorted out the amp
All good bro. Keep bringing the content
@ 29 sec., just a split sec. after your Amm-1 said 11,209 Watts, it then said 17,549 Watts! So this Em Audio Super Team 12inch took a below port tuning freq., and 17k to tear a spider= Total Beast Mode!
you could see at 7.25 that the woofer was cranking over 6500 watts out of the amp. No wonder this thing catched on fire xD.
Ahh that smell of frying audio. Unforgettable
Those damn full-bridge amps 😂
Bummer. That amp looked pretty sweet. Was hoping to hear more.
Me too!
I can't understand why the spider pack isn't bolted down on top of the glue. Seems like an oversight considering my EMF lowballer has that feature and only has a 900w RMS
Bass on for another day ,🙆
Yessir!
That was insane, it was banging while it lasted
Love your videos bro, that sub is ridiculous lol. Honestly its kind of unusable if it wont stay together to play lol. Crazy on the amp fire, are they known for that? What happened to your big ole Tar?
I fully agree with you, on this being a useless subwoofer. It is highly impractical, and just not well thought out. With not enough spider diameter, and it being an 8 layer spider, it is just way to stiff of a spider. Its limited travel is causing the coil to saturate more easily and get hotter quicker. Also, with that stiff as hell 8 layer spider, that limited travel is going to pull it from the landing on the basket every time, when under decent power loads, and excursion. It needs a bolt down spider clamp, and a basket with a larger spider landing. Parker said you buy this, to say you have one, but you don't buy a super car or sports car, to have it sit in the garage, and post pics of it and show everyone you have one. I just don't trust that particular basket, holding that much weight inverted especially. But it's a cool sub to look at I suppose. 👍
That OH....... NO!!!!!! took me out 😂😅🤣😭😭😭 i spent my whole check once on 2 punch 3 15s an a 2500 watt amp. I tried to show off an told my friend my music was better than his! Listened to his... an sounded louder than mine! So i turnt the amp to the max! 🤦🏾♂️ dang amp started smoking.... Same thing i said.... Was... OH.... NO....!!!!! 😂😂😭😭😭😭
That was nuts!!
Dang Parker u let the smoke out man! 😆 🤣 killer sub though 😅
You can mount that subwoofer regularly you just have to build the box around the subwoofer super easy get a new one and try it
The most likely cause is a capacitor replace it and should be working like new again
Good grief welcome to the bbq man that sucks. I already know you come back even harder plus you have a wall full of back up amps everything will be ok glad you weren’t hurt at all bro💪
So did the speaker blow too? You mentioned amps don't like when subs blow? And that was super scary. Good reminder for all of us bass enthusiasts to have an extinguisher handy.
Yeah so did the sub blow as well?
It seems the subs voice coil must have shorted and it caused the amp to overload. The amp can easily handle 1.5 ohm load.
@@JasonWW2000 I think the sub is fine I believe the amp blew cause of that its only running dual 0 gauge To a 13500w amp that is way to little power for 13.5kw
Yes the sub blew which caused the amp to short 😭
Is there no way to prevent this from happening....fuse or circuit breaker or something
Awwww no... happens tho. Man after watching all your videos I'm thinking bout going deaf bounce on my next build. Still waiting on new solo x too.
i dont see how your not pissed for destroying that but damn that thing gets down😂
Man, sorry about the amp. That aside, another great video.
It’s all good man! Just another day doing what I do haha
Hola, de cuántos pies o litros es el cajón para el subwoofer EM audio? Te agradecería por la información 🙌
Sorry about your amp! Always enjoy the videos!
Thanks! It’s all good. Just part of it
I think I need to order some fire extinguishers.
Not a bad idea!
You’ve come a long way
Parker please do the American Bass king sub review
I’d like to if I can get my hands on one!
Making this comment and liked just so you can buy another amp. Help this man out. I could hear the shaky in your voice. You sounded like me when I ket my girl drive my car once and she broke my expensive ass head unit. I feel your pain
I'll name this sub the mushroom
that sub is massive
Got the fire on video! Definitely saw fire! 🔥
Maybe one day little Parker will learn to use a quality amp? Doubt it though.
Love the videos man but dam I hate to see you lose your amp. But I'd love to see that sub in person
It’s all good! Just part of doing what I do.
At the moment of first fire up after mounting it in the enclosure NOAA detected massive tremors in mount St. Helens.
It’s gonna take a minute to clean that burnt amp smell out of your ride.
I believe you made 6547watt before catastrophe hitt.😶 Don't take it the wrong way, but it's sometimes nice to see when "shitt" happens. People usually leave it out.
Yeah man I am always honest on the channel and show the good and the bad stuff that hoppers. It’s not a big deal just gotta throw in another amp and keep on going
my suggestion is check sony home theatre design and build the box it will be beaster
If DB is such a big sponsor, need them to send u some Korean power to test all the subs with. Stay away from full bridge if u can help it. I'm louder on a single Korean 6k than i was with 2 full bridge 8ks.
The sacrifices we make in the name of science... ⚰️ SHE WAS A GOOD AMPLIFIER. R.I.P 🪦 😔🤘
I blew an amp once at a gas station. I almost shit my pants. I think it’s because my battery was on its way out and the ambient temps were below freezing. I upgraded to a crescendo audio symphony S1V2. Now I’ve been breaking subwoofer boxes and blowing subs lol. My American Bass XR 15 broke a prefab box. I broke a pre flab with a XR12. I’ve blown a XR10 in a corner loaded box after abusing it for like 3 years. Now I’m rocking a XR 12 in a concept enclosures box with an aero port. My system has never been louder. New issues is that I think my sub is vibrating my rear window tint off. It started bubbling. It’s always something 😅
Hey man double bummer. I've never ran much power myself, but how big is the speaker wire and what type of wire is it? Thanks man
Glad you are safe!!!! That’s hella scary!!!
@Parker The Basshead recommendation for a 15 inch sealed sub and amp for 1k$ doesn't have to be that much, just have to have a limit. Let me know what you recommend. Ty!
Did the speaker 🔊 & amp blow ?
You know what they say... If you blow that amp, you need to go bigger and better Hurts to be you right now
