  • In this episode, the guys at Little Wars TV head to the Arizona Territory to explore the events of October 1881 between the Earps and the Cowboys. Was Wyatt Earp really the "good guy" in Tombstone or might the history of this feud be more nuanced? After Chal and Tony debate the history of the OK Corral shootout and Earp vendetta ride, six players fight a narrative-based wargame across five custom tabletops in 28mm scale! Who will survive to tell the tale and could a new hero emerge in our story?
For bonus content and much more, be sure to visit us at www.LittleWarsTV.com. You can download a FREE copy of the 2-page "Ruthless" game rules from our website or from www.fireballforward.com.
The entire month of April we'll be continuing our Tombstone series with rule reviews, terrain tutorials, Hollywood movie analysis, and more!

@@Kili121416 I downloaded the Ruthless gunfighter rules about month ago, but have yet to play my first game, as I've been busy scratch building the buildings and assembling/painting the figures. I've come up with a really cool way to keep track of each character's stats. I've cut a pine 3/4" pine board into 4" x 8" pieces, then cut the piece into the shape of an old west coffin lid. At the top there's a place for the character's name and toughness rating, below that a place for traits, below that holes are drilled for 22 caliber and 32 caliber shell casings to keep track of ammo supply and below that four 3/4" holes for the LEG, ARM, CHEST and CRITICAL wounds (I'll use small diameter poker chips to keep track of the wounds). Hopefully I'll be ready to play our first game in another week or two.
Here's a link to pictures of my 'Coffin Lid' Stats Tracker panel for use while playing RUTHLESS gunslinger rules:

I ran a similar game at the 1984 Canberra Convention (CANCON) in Australia, we called it the "Shootout at the OKW Corral", OKW being our club name (Organisation of Knox Wargamers). We used Donald Featherstones skirmish rules from 1975 and TIMPO figures with the TIMPO wild west town. Set up in the middle of the hall we had a queue a mile long to play the game. Umpires decisions were final and sometimes arbitrary but it was heaps of fun. I also ran the same game at an Army Engineer Officers training session as a bit of relief, it was great to see my fellow officers having a bit of fun. Still have the set, must get it out one day.
