You should do a video about how to train for a fitness exam . Like for first responders and the military . I'm currently training to pass my local sheriffs office exam
Mark Smooth Absolutely. I like to eat a normal breakfast (no new foods) 2-3 hours before race start. For me that’s typically a bagel and peanut butter with an egg banana and a coffee. 👍🏻
Just watched your video, a little late. I don’t agree with everything, but hey, everyone carb loads differently. I still thoroughly enjoyed watching! I have to ask: How did the marathon go? It would be nice to see the results of your race preparation. Why stop the night before? I think “carb loading” should also include the race day breakfast.
Hey thanks for watching. Marathon went well. Hit goal time and felt good. I still eat a good breakfast in the morning but just lighter so I’m not “heavy” in the race.
4.6g carbs per lb of bw or per lb of LEAN bw? It makes no sense for an obese guy weighing 300lbs to be eating 1380gs of carbs the day before a marathon
If you're eating a regular meal I would suggest 2 - 3 hours before a run. If you go with a lighter snack such as a bagel, fruit, etc 30 - 60 minutes works.
This makes no sense your body can only store up to 2000 calories in carbs so most of what you are doing is just overeating and storing those calories as fat not in the blood stream. Also suggesting that you eat loads of sugar and junk the day before is terrible. It will just lead to a crash in energy levels.
When my dad ran 16 miles a day back in 80s’ he would go to “carb parties” before races lol
love it....my kind of party! lol.

Great idea. I've actually personally completed that same training myself in the past. Good luck on your exam!
How bout rice and potatoes carbs and leave out the white flour stuff? Make any difference?
It does ruin you nights rest ... or it does for me. I'm to high on carbs to sleep easely
It's also funny everyone talking about carb, carb, carb as the only bulk fuel, especially for long lasting work.
Mct oil is great alternative
Do you eat on the morning of race day?

Well, 300 lbs people dont usually run marathons
Why so many simple carbs?
It is hard go with complex carbs, you will be feel full
Simple carbs? No such thing idiot. A carb is a carb. A calorie is a calorie.

Keto guy is going to kick your ass.
I just wanna learn how early to eat before my run.

I like the video other than you repeat everything soooooo many times. It gets really repetitive.
