Thanks for sharing and welcome to the hot-tenting world. Best part of Winter (by far) for me. Don’t sweat the hot stove glowing. Happens all the time and you’ll need it hot to cook on the stove. Looking forward to future videos and Merry Christmas!
Taller pipe might help with the draw. Being so damped down created dirty pipes. Really build up the coals to load it up. Avoid paper as can fly up the pipe land on tent burn holes. If happens tenacious tape is handy to have easy fix.
@ no problem. Just passing on what has helped me over last couple seasons learning myself. Stock pile birch bark on hikes. Make good piles of kindling and some bigger pieces. Handy to have in the morning.
I bought a new hot tent and stove in the fall of 23 and then had a stroke and never used it, spring of 25 will be my camping and fishing comeback tour.
I’m SO happy to hear your making a come back ! That would have been a long road my friend I’m super excited for you! I had a knee injury last fall that stopped me from hot tent camping last winter thought I needed surgery but got very lucky. A very minor set back by comparison but things like that really make you grateful for every little thing you have and are capable of doing I’ve lived life to its fullest more then I ever have since then I’m so excited you get a second chance at it my friend ! You got this !
