Florestan is such a God in making his solos unbelievably amazing and completely taking the song to a whole new level. Agree with the view about the song being a little generic. But I have to admit Tobias has composed the most addictive choruses in this and Lost Cause. And that makes me love their songs after a few listens. Also, your reviews are C'est Bon too lol. Honest and entertaining. Keep'em coming!
I agree with everything you said for the review. Sadly my girlfriend didn't want to finish the song when I tried showing it to her because it sounded too generic and just sounded bad to her overall. I couldn't show her the solo part which is my favorite part of the song.
Man, you should check Convictions - The Price of Grace, this is banger, maybe best Metalcore song 2021. They claimed their style aggressive worship, it's modern Christian metalcore

Just because something is less overtly "proggy" (than they used to be) doesn't mean it's less unique/interesting - maybe you're just a prog nerd now ;)
Definitely not the best or even close IMO...5:12am, Monochrome, Under Different Welkins, Lead the Light, A Travers le Mirior, Heal the Wound, Somebody Else. All of have these have far more passion and uniqueness than this song. Again though, IMO!

Don't get too excited.. The solo isn't even 20% as good as something 30 years old even like the one on "Get the Funk out" by Extreme.
Not a fan of the new songs..also as cool as the solo was, it just seemed so off kilter with the rest of the song.
This used to be my favorite band but every since Mateo left I just don't like the new vocals
