Kolkata was one of the best and rich city in India before the takeover of Communist party as state govt. Now it's still good but lost it's glory.
Still the 3rd richest city in India.. and again it's growing

If you are in Kolkata, don't forget to visit the suburbs like Serampore which was a Danish Colony and Chandannagar which was a French colony. It's a 30 min train ride from Howrah station.

Kolkata is The Living City, because it has a "soul". None of the cities in India have got that vibe which Kolkata has, but the current scenario is responsible for its decline

Love the videos. Ancient history is 1500 years ago or more, so colonial India is not ancient. I’m a stickler for language, I find it makes communication more clear.
What I believe is, in 2075 India will be the most beautiful country on planet earth, at that time India will have less population, less people, less pollution, more jobs, full of culture and history like this will not happen in any other country.

By the way Vishuddha I really do enjoy seeing all those beautiful architectual styles you showed us. I saw other nice architectual styles in Udaipur and Amer near Jaipur as well as in Jaipur. What to say of Old Varanasi on the ghats and alleyways. The GopRo will usually overheat as it happened to me in hot places in Mexico and Colombia.

The Howrah Bridge was built by the British in the 1940s.
Thank you for making the video of my city ❤❤. May be you went there on Saturday/Sunday. Most offices there stay close on weekends. My
office is nearby. Opposite of Calcutta High Court which, completed it's 200th birthday today. I also love old heritage buildings.
Kolkata is a beautiful city but the problem is a lot of waste in the Mallick Ghat and surrounding areas. Also, I heard that Howrah is one of the dirtiest place in India. Truly a bad government in WB.

You came out of Mullick Ghat by Armenian Ghat. Its named so because this area was where the Armenians lived in Kolkata and are responsible for many of the old buildings in Kolkata. Kolkata was built majorly by Armenians and Jews. The British didn't care about architecture as much as them.

It's quite a crazy place - how to say, dramatic place. Theres a lot to see and taste, for a month, but the air can be bad. And the traffic is dangerous when crossing a street. The taxis will drive over you.
