- In this video we compare different baffle designs to find out which one makes the most average torque and peak HP with the Bassani Road Rage 2-1 exhaust. Victory Motorcycle performance.
I tried changing baffles on my highball tbr 2-1. It made a huge difference. I also upgraded the nees aircleaner to the Lloydz’s power tubes. Now she running like it should. Thanks for all the information on the Victory front!!
Awesome, the TBR exhaust sounds great!
Very informative video with good common sense advice!
Glad y'all are enjoying them!
I got a road rage II on my 13' XC as well and was recently thinking about different bassani baffle combinations/mods for more power. Do you think this baffle would fit well? I mean it is the Road Rage II Mega Power baffle so inherently the name is quite suggestive - Bassani Baffle for Road Rage II Mega Power Exhaust Systems - B25195
Nick, What mods do you have or are you planning? I ask because I think that the stock baffle is pretty good, and will likely make the most average power up to 115 HP, which covers 98% of the cammed XC. It will provide the best low end power and will work great in the cruise rpm range too. Now if you are looking for a different tone or plan on stepping up the power then I would look at the B2212 2.5"-4" x 12, which is the baffle for the Road Rage Mega-Phone Victory Steel frame. The B251195 would fit, but I have not tested so I have no insight. Outside of a power discussion, my concern would be the 19" hanging in front of the mounting point on the baffle. That is a lot of weight over time with only being retained by a single bolt. Over time I think that the mounting flange (the big circle donut that bolts to the muffler to retain the baffle in place) would crack. I have seen this happen on guys that have cut the baffle down on tri-ovals. Both of the baffles B2212 and B251195 are actually designed to slip over the collector in the front of the Mega-Phone. When adapted into the a longer muffler the baffle is only supported the one retaining bolt. On mine I drilled a second bolt hole directly across from the bolt hole it came with, so I have two bolts supporting the baffle. One a 6 0'clock and one at 12 O'clock.
@@hammeredsteelperformancehs1120 I see, that does make sense and I did consider the concern for the single mounting point on the long baffle. I likely will keep the stock performance baffle of the road rage however may drill some holes as you did in the modified one on the end plate.
My XC currently has lloydz intake + throttle ring + VM1 cams, underdrive pulley, maximus tune, aluminum intake manifold, road rage 2 to 1 of course and tank risers to allow slightly more air in.
