Okay hear me out. Batista had one of the smoothest and well executed spinebusters of them all. The pick up, the elevation, and the way he would bounce back up to his feet after and just stand over his opponent. It was so clean.
That's a different style though, the spinebuster by guys like Batista and The Rock is fairly straight forward. HHH's spinebuster takes a lot more timing and technique to fully master.
@@belvinnadar5782 Yes his never had the aggression and power that I like in batistas. And I don't mean that as a dis to hhh. Batista just hits different
With all the moves above, Orton's Vintage DDT and Mox using the cutter is always smooth and perfect. Also seth gives a combo of superflex turning into a falcon arrow that is just a thing of beauty and I can't believe it's not a finisher.
I think having to consistently build a match finish around an opponent getting stuck on the top turnbuckle would be tricky (although it worked for the Muscle Buster, Joe had to lift his opponent up for it and it wasn't all the way to the top), but agreed it's a gorgeous move.
My big problem with Seth's combo, as slick and cool-looking as it is, is that it completely no-sells the superplex. By all accounts it's legitimately the move with the biggest impact on _both_ participants (no matter whether you're giving a superplex or taking it, you're falling unprotected from a significant height and landing hard flat on your back), so it makes perfect sense that after any other instance of it both wrestlers will spend some time selling the move and looking winded. Yet that gets thrown out of the window by Rollins, who by popping straight back up from it to roll into the falcon arrow makes it look like he alone has an inexplicable immunity to the impact.
I feel like this one should be obvious, but the Walter/Gunther chops. Every time he hits this not only are you reminded that his chops are the best in the business, but you can be genuinely convinced that's a match closer (partly because he actually did win with a chop. Bloody genius way to give your version of a standard move more legitimacy).
I think another move that Triple HHH did extremely well was his flying knee. I always got excited whenever he connected with that lol. He got some good flight distance
Undertaker's floating/swinging DDT. I just love the way he jumps up with his legs in the air to come down with the DDT. It's one of my favorite Undertaker moves.

Right?! I watched this on my drive to work and I'm actively working towards becoming a wrestler. The shot of adrenaline I got thinking about the wrestler perspective really got me excited to go work out, but of course I was in my car on my way to work 😂
Eddie's transition between suplexes is so clean, where he rotates his legs for momentum to get up for the next suplex. That's where everyone else screws it up, which is odd, since it seems if you did it correctly it would actual help. That's got to give you some torque.
I always thought Alberto Del Rio's tilt-a-whirl back breaker was really impressive. It looks a really impactful move and he always seemed to hit it perfectly
Great list! I'm surprised a certain move wasn't in the top 5, let alone on the list all together. I don't know if it's considered a finisher but it was never treated as such. Baron Corbin's deep six. Always looks so impressive, so impactful.
Gotta nominate Randy Orton (and Bob Holly's) dropkicks- those are a work of art. Rock's float over ddt is interesting because he used early in his career, adopted a more "smash mouth" style when he became a star, then brought the float over ddt back when he slimmed down and tried a more athletic/technical style of wrestling later in his career. Also, Rock's spinebuster setup for the Rock Bottom is a beaut as well.
Chris Benoit's powerbomb was awesome, in how he would not just throw his opponent down, but keep his arms locked on their legs to drive them all the way down.
Almost everything Benoit did was crisp and clean until Eddie died. You can really see the difference in his wrestling after that, especially in 2007. I miss both Eddie and Chris. I know that sounds horrible to "miss" Benoit but he was incredible in the ring and it's arguable that if Eddie had never died, then Benoit may still be here too

I would argue that AJ Styles' dropkick is way more impressive than Hardcore Holly's dropkick. AJ's dropkick is so perfect plus the flip-like motion that he adds to it just makes it look that much more awe-inspiring. Hulk Hogan's Big Boot kick, Bret Hart's Side Russian Leg Sweep, The Undertaker & Kane's Choke Slam, Kurt Angle's Moonsault, Ric Flair's Chop, Seth Rollins' Falcon Arrow & Becky Lynch's Exploder Suplex all also deserve great praise & recognition.
Big Show/Giant's top rope drop kick. When he was younger, he would break it out rarely, but it always looked good. As he got older, he needed some help balancing up there, but it was still beautiful.
Oh!!! Goldust/Dustin Rhodes’ off the ropes power slam: it almost starts in slow motion and then he’s like “oh no, I’m running late” and the back half of the slam is like double speed. Awesome.
Great Khali's vice grip. It wasn't that visually impressive. But the size of his hands compared to the average size of a person's skull, as well as the opponent's selling, always made it look like absolute death. It was perfect for him.

chris benoit and kurt angles german suplexes always looked dope especially when they would hit 3 in a row or release the open and end up throwing them completely over head
Karl Anderson and Trips spine buster are perfect and a thing of beauty.
Cesaro's European uppercuts
Cameron Grimes Spanish Fly out of mid air. He never won with the thing but that never stopped you from buying that it could end a match in an instant!
Best drop kick I’ve ever seen is Okada’s, he just floats in the air waiting to deliver it.
HBK's flying forearm off the ropes and Elbow drop from the top.
🔥💰🔥
Triple H's spine buster is the best. The only one close in my mind was Ron Simmons and he just kind of acts like he doesn't want the other guy near him anymore and can't be bothered.🤣 Also Simon, knowing how much of a legend Triple H is to you, you should adopt your own versions of some of his moves for your wrestling matches. That would be great.
I definitely am biased growing up a hardy boyz fan but I always loved the side effect by Matt
I see your Nash’s side slam and raise your Corbin’s deep 6. Variation I know, but 10x more pleasing to the eye
Shawn Michaels - Diving elbow
Baron Corbin - Deepsix
Drew McIntyre - Glassgow kiss
Randy Orton - scoopslam & Rope DDT
Kazuchika Okada- Dropkick
Kenny omega - V Trigger & Dragon suplex
Luke Harper - Big boot
Stone cold - Louthez press
Roman Reigns - Superman punch
Cesaro - European uppercut
Seth Rollins - Superplex into falcon arrow
Samoa Joe - Walk Away
Undertaker - Flying clothesline
Walter - Chops
I know people tend to hate on the guy, but Goldbergs spear was a beast, the jackhammer was just added insult.
Every single thing that Chris Benoit did in the ring was executed with 100% perfection. His chops were the most brutal I've ever seen and his snap suplex was a thing of beauty.
I was thinking Randy Orton at the exact moment you mentioned it! Love you Simon. Also Randy has that DDT off the middle rope that looks like it kills you.
Scott Steiner's Frankensteiner before he got too massive to do the move.
Hardcore's dropkick is probably the only one I've seen that comes close to Curt Henning's which for me is the absolute best.
Maven had a stunningly great one. Everyone was like, "how does this Tough Enough kid know how to dropkick so well?"
What about Randy's
Would love a part 2 and 3 of this
Bruh, it could be done every month!
Dustin rhodes that running scoop slam,Corbin deep6,Sami Zane holloba kick
