Loooooved to see the Skaven here again. It was a super close match, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Oh man, it would have been super nice to get those ogors back after they died (now that I think about it, was the master moulder still on the table at that moment? not sure). It would have been the official match of bringing back dead stuff hahaha.

Just got into warhammer / AoS and this channel is amazing, I dont fully understand the game yet but the voice over and the explanation every turn is amazing !
heroic willpower can't be used to dispel in the enemy hero phase, it's enemy unbind/ friendly dispel.

Pretty sure the terrain piece chosen for places of power has to be wholly outside your opponents territory anyway so you couldn't have chosen that building.

He needed the Grand Strategy to win, so I think the clear play was to send Thanqoul mid with either the Launcher or just running, so he can unleash hell with the Flamers. Even if he had more objectives, he had to do a battle tactic or lost. But forgetting the stomp was kind of a game changing mistake that would have been easy to retcon.
Yeah great shout, seeing that now.. Not sure he had another Tactic to do. We were strapped on time and moving decently fast at the end, so I missed it! Also yeah, I coulda just remembered to stomp! ahhhh the many mistakes I make.

Quite impactful rules mistake: Martial memories does not allow a second use of AoA during a turn as the command can only be used once per turn (even if it is not issued twice, it is used twice. This has been FAQ'd).
Yep, I don't think we ever did AoA twice - may have been a pop-up error if so.
@@SeasonofWar on the first turn durthu uses it on the shooting phase followed by the tree revs in combat
@@Athorell9 the restriction is only by phase, not by turn - so there is no problem with using it in different phases!

That was a great game! What a close score too, trees are insanely mobile. It's such a great playstyle for them, and skaven book is busted wide open with the list building restrictions turned off it makes me so happy. Definitely experimenting with Skryre/X combos right now, with Skryre/Moulder being my favorite idea so far.
On a side note, Jordan next time we're at the same GT, I gotta give you guys some weirdnobz dice. Forgot to give you some at slambo. Maybe those will win you a priority or 2! lolol

I'm hoping this one becomes the new most watched batrep. My favourite armies in a close game showing off so many cool abilities. You need some bug riders soon though, I haven't been able to build a list without them.

Purple Sun is so dumb, but Lunchbox with Thanquol is up there too on the "what were they thinking?" scale. Though funnily enough Skaven feel like they kind-of need all that endless spell cheese right now.
for the boat is use a doomwheel.. call it a styled skaven boat.. the dooooomboat
Purple Sun should only affect Units with less than 10 wounds .

I think thinking maybe skaven should take the second in the last round to deny grand strategy.
Thanqual still have to be outside of 9, right? So Jordan could have redeployed his tree-revs away from shoting in round 3
He redeployed with the lady of vines on that movement phase.
Fun battle report, but how did the Wych cast twice on first turn? She only is a 1 cast, and didn’t have Arcane Tome or anything. Either way, the Tree Revs did work so it wouldn’t have had that much of an impact but still something that may have been overlooked.
The Branchwych did have the Arcane Tome - must have forgotten it if it's not on the list!
Super late but how did she have the Arcane tome? Lady of the vines cannot be part of Command Entourage battleplan?
Did you forget monsterous actions in bottom of turn 3? Could potentially have been game winning for Skaven if Thanqol stomped the last remaining revenant. Also, hindsight being 20/20 and all - should probably have used the Warpseers Scry Orb ability at some point. Using it on the Kurnoth or Gossamid at some point in the game could've been pretty impactful. :)

Yeah, the stomp could have won me the game -_- I completely forgot... there were a few things that were just insane, like that Kurnoth living on a wound, he should have deffo been dead, but yeah could have Scry Orbbed him, didnt think I needed it!!

Amazing game guys! Im very curious about gossamid . I only played against a IDK list with like 3x10 reavers and 2x3 sharks with them and they did very poorly. I think against good shooting they are wasted points. But against melee army they can perform very well! I cant wait if u planning to play 2x5 of them and make them work!!:)
Round 4, in the skavens turn, sylvaneth have no cp in the charge phase to use unleash hell on the gossamid archers, so the skaven could have charged them just fine, or am I mistaken?
How did tree-revenant return 4 models in Skavens turn 5?

@@adiadigital1 Rally is a generic command ability to return slain models on a roll of a 6. You roll 1 dice per slain model in the unit.
Yesterday I killed a full health Stardrake with the purple sun… Maybe it should be reduced to troops or sth, because it just felt bad, even for me. The -1 Save is extremely nice for Nighthaunt for example, and that was the main reason to bring it. How would you „fix“ it?

How did the Tree Revenants do 43 damage though? Isn't 34 the maximum output for 15?
They were in the Bounty Hunters Battalion & fighting a Galletian Veteran unit!

Yes. You can't contest 2 objectives but a terrain piece is not an objective, you just treat contesting and controlling in the same *manner* as an objective, but it is a seperate thing.
You can't use the +3 from crack the whip when charging with the others.

I played this battle plan a few days ago and after turn one we both forgot about idols. Later that game when we remembered, we forgot about having to kill idols with idols. Not a great mechanic, there's enough memory tax as is
Yeah there is enough ways to score and this is an extra one not needed

Purple sun needs a nerf. It's worth the points for the rend alone, but that model eating crap needs to go.

Sinds the stormfiends there stats are way better is Skyre like list also as good as rat oger list
Lists with 9 stormfiends + Thanquol are doing very well competitively.
