Look I get the ac unit and air filtrations but I’m with this guy in your paid home does the government need to tell you what you can do in your home? But as a parent I wouldn’t want the second hand smoke for my kids. My main issue is our government is FIXATED on defining ethics and Morality which it has no business doing. We need to place pressure on lawmakers to quit these lame excuses of moral and ethics and focus on the real problem. Rent is too damn high with no ceiling cap in sight for rent prices. Why are they focusing on a person smoking in their homes then the real issues.HOA is out of control and should not exist. But smoke in your condo is the issue… okay
I think you bring up some good points! Of course we want to look after the health and safety of those who need protecting, but I think a lot of people think it should be a case by case basis when evaluating protection of the youth
@@lawyerinbluejeansSD I would love to discuss this a little bit further in an interview on my channel, Justin. Might you contact me? As a previous homeowner and landlord and current tenant (already living in a Smoke Free complex in Carlsbad) I have so many questions. Thanks!
Fire danger is a major consideration for multiple dwelling units. Smoking bans are already in place for hospitals, restaurants, airplanes, parks and beaches--why not multi-unit housing? Neighbors are not forced to confront each other over smoking. Should neighbors be forced to contend with second-hand smoke?
These are some good points. Opponents have said that "a lot of complexes already have bans in place so why does the government need to?" Having neighbors confront each other will likely not end well!

That seems outrageous ..
I think a lot would agree! But a lot of people see the upside here too!

Society doesn’t need more petty rules.
Don't live in a condo rule no#1. So, put up another law where citizens have to confront each other.
That could lead to some interesting interactions and confrontations!
Our rights are being taken away slowly (eventhough I’m against smoking).
I think a lot of people are personally against smoking, but don't necessarily want government prohibitions, which I definitely get!
Wouldn't it make sense to ban tobacco sales in Carlsbad also??
Maybe not since there are still areas you can smoke in! And also, if you own your home, you can still smoke there, for now...
President Putin is proud
Can you connect the dots here for us?
