The production of alone at prom was flawless to me. It was soo groovy and easy to listen to. The album rollout was well executed and the melodies are catchy. The song names are well suited and it was genuinely the smoothest production ive heard in a long time. As a long time Juice Wrld fan, I agree about what you said. It's getting frustrating and tiresome at this point, the label has got soooo much versatility and different subject content to pick from but they just continously shove the intense drug talk and eerie death references down our throats. It's terribly disrespectful imo, he had never displayed this much dread in GBGR or DRFL, so why all of a sudden do they feel that's what he would've wanted in LND and fighting demons. They don't need to entirely remove these topics cause obviously they are a big part of his music but show the range and bright mind he had in songs like The Light or Starstruck so we can remember him in a positive light. Don't even get me started on the appalling mixing and cutting out of random verses. Rant over for now
Chill out man, you do realize Juice has over 2000 songs still and there will be many more albums over many years. This is just one. The Party Never Ends next and I expect very good things
im not defending the label but weren't these messages still prevalent in his previous work? especially the 'drug talk' which is basically present in every song of his
I like that “Already Dead” song - - *but thinking about it* someone in a board room probably chose that song to pull on the heart strings PURPOSELY of Fans and what for? It feels a little distasteful to release a song from a dead artist that literally says “Bitch I’m already dead - I’ve been dead for years” and talk about taking HEAVY amounts of drugs and mixing drugs which is the exact way he died. @@klnvv He is. Go check his older videos on Tory when the incident happened
Glad to see the love for alone at prom
Alone at prom is a classic album much better than the other 80s album that were made in recent times☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔
It was better than he making it seem
It’s good but still it doesn’t come close to After Hours
@@ManiaBeats it’s way better then after hours, especially at capturing the 80s sound
@@ManiaBeats u capping bro.🧢 Alone at prom is way better. And I liked after hours as well.
@@ManiaBeats its better than after hours
Naw Alone at Prom was solid Tory a punching bag at this point 😭
Imagine going this hard to tear down an innocent black man smh. Shawn should be disgusted with himself
@@MakaveliG17C 💀🤣💀
Shawn working for Meg now lmao
@@MakaveliG17C imagine being so mad that you're in all of the replies lmao. You've said more about Shawn's opinion than he has on AOP
@@MakaveliG17C 😭😭😭 you’re actually the exact person that shawn describes in the video bro tory isn’t that good and there’s a decent amount of evidence that points to his guilt. you can’t claim he’s innocent off the bat, y’all just don’t like megan thee stallion and refuse to listen to her side of the story
Damn Tory Lanez gets no love this year either 🤭
@@kaytee7607 Meg didnt kill shit. If he wasnt blackballed, he'd still be outselling her. Shawn is a biased goof
he dropped 2 classics
I’m looking at these comments and damn you right. Tory Lanez has an OBNOXIOUS fan base. Like barbs level of obnoxious
even non tory fans say the album is good
shawn rlly predicted the tory stans infesting this comment section
CLB easily the most hated album of 2021
People just hate to hate tbh
Your first miss, Tory lanes album is fantastic
And Shawn usually on point smh
Torys album does not belong here. You and fantano got some weird hater tag team going on against Tory and its painfully obvious
tory must of done something to shawn because alone at prom is a great album
A lot of people have been brainwashed by the media into disliking Tory Lanez. I like and support him as a rapper and person, and am also able to say his most recent album is trash.
edit: probably came off a little harsh, sorry. I like Tory but this album just ain't for me
I feel like this was his best work but respect ur opinion
The album was great imo but I respect your opinion
this was an very solid cohesive album tbh. no skips for me
Not a Tory fan in the slightest but I actually really enjoyed the album. Never listened to any music of his maybe except SKAT and the Don Q/Joyner disses. Maybe the sound just clicks with me.
Same I’ve pretty much only listened to features, one song off chixtape 5, and some of New Toronto 3 and I really liked the project
He is getting paid to slander Tory
@@MakaveliG17C chill bro Tory is a very unlikeable person and this album doesn't have an ounce of originality so I don't blame Shawn I'm just saying my pov
@@MakaveliG17C please explain this. Sounds like a butthurt fan trying to rule against an opinion they don't like
@@shade4835 No his credibility is at stake and Tory already has grounds to sue this man from previous videos he’s made. You also clearly aren’t familiar with Tory catalog, that him not being original shit is bs. Shawn is a disgrace
complete miss about alone at prom 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Compared his usual work it was mid

Shawn I always agree with you but alone at prom bro was fire as hell. Top to bottom it was great. Aoty tbh ik deep down people that hate on this album is because of the situation that happened. But without, he really came through imo it’s a really good album
🌽🌽🌽
I kinda see where you coming from with these opinions but personally I really enjoyed expensive pain (as a meek mill album at this point in his career he could be doing more) but I thought it was decent. With regards to alone at prom lady of nameek is honestly one of my favourite tracks of the year.
Alone at Prom was fire
He’s getting paid to slander Tory
Alone at prom???
I agree with every album except Tory’s and I’m not even the biggest Tory fan but this album is super captivating and captured/encapsulates the 80s era of pop better than The Weeknd’s after hour . And this is coming from a die hard Weeknd fan but Alone at prom was so good to me and if Earl sweatshirt or Kendrick doesn’t drop the rest of year this is my album of the year!
He is part of the smear campaign to assassinate Tory's character before he gets his day in court. This the same clown who said he would never listen to Tory ever again, yet now he is reviewing his album to try and tear it down because it received overwhelming support and good reviews
You’re not the biggest Tory fan yet you think this is AOTY? Somethin ain’t adding up
@@ad4m883 this is the second album I’ve listen to of his , chixtape 5 being the first and I’ve heard he has a huge discography. If I was a “fan” as much as you are inferring I am I definitely would have listened to more than just 2 albums lol. I’m not very familiar with his discography and haven’t listened to much to proclaim myself as a fan let alone one of his biggest fans lol . Some albums hit different for some and this one just happened to really capture my attention and ears as I was listening. I’m not here to convince you of anything tho and you can believe what you want but like I said before I’ve barley even scratched the surface on Tory’s music and I don’t consider MYSELF a fan but I am a huge fan of THIS album.
@Searchlight T thank you !!!
@@ad4m883 for example there a lot of people who proclaimed Tyler’s Call me if you get lost their album of the year (it’s second for me) but don’t fuck with any of Tyler’s early music except this one and the same happened with Igor , artists change sounds and aren’t consistent with their sound 100 percent of the time so you can be a fan of a specific album of an artist but doesn’t mean your totally a fan of that artist because some artists have such a diverse sounding discography where multiple albums don’t sound alike
Not a Tory Lanez fan. Don’t listen to him much at all but I think you missed the mark for Alone at Prom. I personally think it’s a top 5 album of the year. I don’t know much about 80s music but listening to it as a stand alone project it makes me smile listening to it. It’s got good vibes with great music and I think Tory’s voice is quite amazing on this. Just my opinion tho
I usually agree with u on many things …however that Tory lanez album was so good 🔥🔥
No alone at prom is not trash, you just don't like him 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Same thing w Meek 🤦🏻♂️ gotta push the rhetoric tho ig
Nah that shit just mid as hell. Literally listen to After Hours or actual 80s music instead of that boring ass project
TheMonkeysHead I have already listened to after hours and I can still tell you that alone at prom is no where near bad
Facts, this man working overtime to tear an innocent man down
That Tory album is great
CLB is overhated imo, it’s a mid album but one of the worst of this year? Nah
For how big drake is I’d argue yes
Had to throw in for the clicks
Did not fuck with tory till this album....and I'm a 80s baby i completely disagree on this!
«Alone at prom» definitely one of the best, if not the best R&B album of year! That 80s modern R&B sound hits different.
Alone At Prom overhated
Its fake hate. They trying to tear Tory down because he defying all odds with the whole industry against him

Shawn was absolutely right when he said the Tory Lanez defense team was gonna roll up as soon as he said the album was bad. Take a hint guys, the album was derivative trash.
