Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Conor Ayaan Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
A quadrillion times better then the Last video I watched of a complete doof. Simple and short. I'm a subscriber. If u read this could you hit me up, I've got a lot of questions regarding a 1982 gmc c15. Thanks.
We didn't cut the dash. Since there was already an aftermarket radio installed, we just swapped them out. The purpose of the video is to act as a basic guide for wiring and mounting. Each classic car install will vary depending on your application.
Hello great video. I am attempting for the first time to place a modern stereo/amp/speakers in a 1948 for truck. Never installed one before. Your video is very helpful for a generalized overview of it all. Thank you for posting it. Any chance there may bea more detailed video you made that you would suggsest that covers it all in detail?
I just got a 78 ford f100 I plan on installing a Kenwood or a JVC haven't decided yet now I have good idea on install thankx by the way is that a wiring kit in that box on seat?
I'm doing an install from scratch in a car that never had a radio. I only plan to install two speakers, should I wire them into the left and right for the Front or Rear? Does it matter? Is there a way to combine the channels for installations with only a single left and single right speaker?
Hi! I just inherited a classic 1984 Chevy horizon class B On a van chassis. I just bought a single Din stereo with a floating touch screen but really not sure about wiring. It already had an after market stereo already but my mom says it would drain the battery if left in (so it was wired to a non switched source, right?) anyway. Could really use a bit of help. I can send photos :) thanks in advance!
May sound stupid but would your vid here work in a '74 Duster? I've got the old original radio which I'll install back in for the decor but I do want to put in a bluetooth radio for my own music plus JBL speakers. Much appreciated for a response. God Bless!
With adding sound systems to old cars what about solenoid & transfers, do they need to be upgraded to handle the extra pull? If so what do u recommend for a 66 Dart?
Here you go! You can put both a CB and single din in this and mount to the floor Metra 95-9000 Universal Double DIN Housing Installation Dash Kit www.amazon.com/dp/B003D3NEQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XBB2RRE1JE2BF5YX5TZ5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have an '88 Bronco that has a fiasco of wires, I remove the plug from old pioneer radio, plugged in new pioneer radio (the plug was slightly different in appearance, but had the same pin layout and fit fine) and immediately blew the 10Amp fuse on the radio, and slight smoke before I unplugged it in like 2-3 seconds. Knowing less than nothing about how to match the wires on the plug on the new radio to the existing wiring fiasco, I'm looking for answers so that I may be able to pull this swap off without having to hire a professional. Can you offer any suggestions?
I don't know why I'm watching this. I'm not replacing the original radio in any car until FM radio is obsolete. I still get a station I love and I'm not changing a perfectly good radio for a shitty Bluetooth one
Great video. I bought a 77 vette and trying to install a new sterio. How do i know which is lf positive and negative going to the front speakers without taking the dash out. It has original wires. I cant find a 77 vette radio wiring diagram.
I'm looking to put one with a flip up screen in my 68 but the tilt of the dash may hinder that, plus when the screen is out thats the heater controls blocked, ffs lol.
Is it the same with all cars? I have a 98 Ford contour and the person before me had tried to install a newer radio and messed with all the wiring. I just want to get it fixed without having to pay the price
I’m looking at a 1979 Datsun 280zx. I want to install an after market sound system but I’m not sure how to find the right stereo and speakers for the mounting process. I would love an Apple play compatible one
Parts used linked in the description of the video!

I really wish you had a video going over the measuring and cutting of the dash and making the "can" fit tightly.
We didn't cut the dash. Since there was already an aftermarket radio installed, we just swapped them out. The purpose of the video is to act as a basic guide for wiring and mounting. Each classic car install will vary depending on your application.
I wouldnt cut the dash just hid it in the glove box

Batter puts out 13.5-14 volts, wouldn’t that overload the 12V constant?

Mine doesn't have any wires for one. It's a 1972 basic model.. no cassette at all.
Time to use your test light or multi meter and fine the wiring needed in the vehicle to create your own harness!
will it work in a 1978 GMC Sierra grande???? If so explain how please
Great video. I bought a 77 vette and trying to install a new sterio. How do i know which is lf positive and negative going to the front speakers without taking the dash out. It has original wires. I cant find a 77 vette radio wiring diagram.
a polarity tester works, or a continuity tester can help too to determine what wire is positive and negative.
Where is the amp install video for a classic car
And if the car has got only one speaker?
One just cap off the other speaker wires on the radio and only wire the one.
Will this work in a 1967 camaro ss?
I'm looking to put one with a flip up screen in my 68 but the tilt of the dash may hinder that, plus when the screen is out thats the heater controls blocked, ffs lol.
I’ll pay you even set up my radio in my 1973 Ford F1 hundred
If you are in utah, I'm happy to help (this is super old content, we do things much different now!)
really hard to hear over music. Turn on subtitles or else audio sounds drowned out.
You have the same dash as me

Is it the same with all cars? I have a 98 Ford contour and the person before me had tried to install a newer radio and messed with all the wiring. I just want to get it fixed without having to pay the price

Wanna sell that pioneer?

Yu didn't show us you wiring anything
Thanks. Useful advice. Could have done without the shitty electric guitar music in the background.
Step 1….Don’t!! Stop cutting up the dashes!!
I can bearly ear your voice because of that music 😢
Super old video. You should see how we make content today.
WTF is that background music!
