Excuse you, I don't *like* creepy, I'm merely deeply traumatised, and as it turns out, being able to not only explore a horribly distorted world and its cast of characters that are suffering tragedy after tragedy for basically no reason at all, but actually being able DO something, help the world though all their struggles, help people through their times of loss and despair, and increasing the value of their lives, gives me a deeply therapeutic experience without me having to pick apart my own trauma when I dont have the energy to spare to deal with that particular hornet's nest. It also occasionally helps to be reminded that even if everything feels terrible and the entire world appears to be against you, the fact that other people can relate means you aren't ever truly alone even if it seems like it at times. I love the hope for the future that overcoming the creepy represents. People remember the unsettling tone, but forget that it's called the Song of *Healing*. So I don't like creepy, but I love healing. And for that it is necessary. the other part is pretty accurate tho
But you don't enjoy the creepy aspects of the game? That is entirely necessary to create the atmosphere that the game takes place in. Scary, threatening, hopeless, creepy. These things create the scene, the quest of the hero. If you say you don't like creepy, then you've tossed out the entire atmosphere of the game. It is meant to be creepy to make the game feel hopeless; you are the one that fights through it to save the doomed despite their hopelessness. Without creepy, you are just playing Wind Waker, or some other light hearted title. Even Ocarina is creepy. Creepy is the emotion, or feeling that we get. It is us feeling that same danger or threat. If you enjoyed the game fully then yes, you did enjoy creepy, otherwise you wouldn't enjoy saving the people in the game or the therapeutic experience.
@@yosefpoysun3534 I litterally ended my whole spiel saying the creepiness is necessary. I don't dispute that. I think you're missing the point I was trying to make, which is a matter of perspective and what part of the game is being focussed on. When talking about Majora's Mask, a lot of people say its dark or creepy, but very few talk about the bright sides the game has, which shine so much brighter because of the darkness. Just calling the game "dark" or "creepy" is, in my mind, incredibly dismissive when the game is so much more. I think that with Majora's Mask, it mostly stems from the fact that you know all of these characters from Ocarina of Time; they were really just support, stock NPCs who were just a part of the backdrop, doing the same repetitive thing over and over; never moving, never changing. Then to see how _active_ they are in Majora's Mask...actually moving about, keeping to a schedule where their activities vary day to day, and can even change all together based on your input... It makes them feel more _alive_ because they are actually acting like they're alive. It's fascinating to watch, because it genuinely makes the game itself feel more alive...Suddenly, you're not looking at polygons on a screen that are only programmed to do a certain set of things; you see an actual world, with real people, that only _you_ can help... These people have lost their hope...You have to _be_ that hope for them.
Yeah that's an obvious one, the others for me are mask transformations which change the gameplay, giving different ways to fight and traverse the world and also the amazing amount of side quests in the world to do and a healthy variety of them.

A link to the past is also really classic but I PERSONALLY think that the wind waker is the easiest one to pick up and play for people who have never played any Zelda games (except for botw)
The Wind Waker part is accurate for me, except for the Twilight Princess part. I think TP has the coolest art style, and I would love if Nintendo tried a gritty, realistic art style for a Zelda game again someday.

All these crushes remind me that Nintendo needs to just give in already and make dating sim elements a standard in this series. Just imagine instead of just being popular with the ladies , Link could actually date and marry by the end of the game!
Link's Awakening was _my_ personal awakening... The big reveal at Face Shrine shaped the way I think about fiction, in perhaps what could be called a more charming variant of seeing The Matrix as a child. Because of playing that game, borrowed from a friend, in a tent in my front yard, partially secluded from the outside world, with limited batteries and a smattering of earwigs to terrorize me all the while...I now can no longer escape the gnawing worry of what will happen if I don't strive to do everything I can in this life to attain meaning, to make a difference, to not fade into a puff of dreamlike smoke.
Are... are you me? LA is still the best damn execution of the “it was all just a dream” plot in any story ever, and you can’t convince me otherwise. Besides the points you made, it also shaped the way I see the hero/villain distinction, both in fiction and real life. Given the ending, are you really a hero? Does that term even have any meaning at all, except as a matter of perspective? It’s a much more thought-provoking premise than anyone gives it credit for.
majora's mask couldn't get any more accurate. i ALWAYS tell my self "__ days remain" or "dawn of the first day" while playing this sound when there is a deadline
Nailed the rush from the Dragon Roost Island theme, when the BotW version played for the first time it was like it was my turn to stand there and have a memory flashback! XD
my favorite is skyward sword and honestly people forget about how good the game/story is (plus the amazing art, neat characters, and interesting mechanics/items) just because of the mOtiOn cOnTrOLs
I actually do love Majoras Mask because of the creepy, Halloweeny and altogether mature atmosphere. And though I don’t hear that sound at a deadline, in school I had a habit of looking at the clock, counting how many minutes were left until recess, then going “Night of the last hour/Dawn of the first hour. ***** minutes remain…” in my head.
I was trying to watch this while keeping an open mind and enjoying the video but as soon as I heard the random distant "DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM!!!" during the Seasons bit, I lost it laughing, and I don't know why. Good stuff, keep it up! Edit: Subbed. Keep it up!

LA and Oracles leaned a biiiit too hard into the waifus, tho. For me it was the Maps and Stories and Music these games had. ...also I don’t wanna hear it about OoT’s Labyrinths. That assessment about Ages was 100% correct. Don’t even talk to me about the Water Temple. Where is the swimming?? (Also it is sooo easy in comparison to Ages’ JabuJabu’s Belly. You guys got a central room you could access at pretty much any time. I didn’t even really notice the Color Lines they put into the 3DS’s Version because...it was pretty straight forward? Honestly kinda a let down after 2 Decades of horror stories... Here’s to hoping the Great Bay Temple is worth the hype when I pick my MM copy back up.)
@@anonymousfellow8879 I think you'll enjoy the Great Bay Temple but I don't think you'll find it to be mind blowing or anything, there's a small room in the Water temple in OOT that people generally miss when changing the levels and most of their problems backtracking are related to this. Also, yes, the Oracle games were awesome, I have so many good memories of them, makes me feel old realizing it's been about 15 years since I last played them.

I can say for the Wind Waker part that you are 100% right... except the third... I just discovered your channel with this video actually ahah but it made me want to watch it.
Actually, even though Windwaker is my favorite Zelda game; Twilight Princess is a close second runner. I played both these games on the Wii U remake and even thought they are polar opposites from eatchother I love both game for how amazing they are!

I like majoras mask, but because of its wonderful world, the likable characters, characters, and the beautiful theme of healing from loss. It is a great allegory to getting over your losses. I lost a family member to cancer, and I love the themes narrated in this game. I do like some of the darker themes, but only because they spice up the game a little bit more. I also have great memories of my older friend coming to help me out with dungeons when I got it on the vc. I developed a great friendship through this game. Lol yeah I do like it bc it’s creepy too :p
Well Link's Awakening was my first game, and Marin was pretty cool! God forbid anyone thinks the CD-I games are their favorite unless you did lots of UA-cam Poops with them! Also not wrong about deadlines give MM is my favorite in the series :P
i gotta say that im amazed with how accurate this is. as a zelda freak, every one of the zelda games (exept cdi's, and whatever tf BS is bc i havent played them, and i dont think anyone thinks of Zelda 2 as a good game) are S-Teir games. TP is my favorite which makes it S+, but i still love all of them. i sorta wish that nayru woulda said more about items in the oracle games tho, bc those games have the most insane items (tho i cant deny having a crush on all of the mentioned girls, wont say if i still do or not tho ;D) also rosa is best girl of all of zelda, sorry bread but its true.
Ayy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry if I offended you about Rosa. Even though Subrosians are sketchy people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If you have no idea what the BS Zelda games are, I just released a video 30 minutes ago that explains their history.
I find it interesting how diverse people's opinions are, I have yet to play Skyward Sword and the Four Swords games and no, I will not play the CDI and such crap games. I loved Ocarina of Time as a kid but Majora's Mask is definitely my favorite. As much as I have liked all of the other top view games, I don't necessarily like the first Zelda all that much, I respect it for what it was for the franchise but I will not play it through again. And I know just about everyone will disagree with me but Zelda 2 is one of my favorite titles as well, it is very different to any other Zelda and it does take a bit of grinding enemies at the beginning if you want to make progress without getting overly frustrated, it can be a very punishing game, but it can be a lot of fun once you learn all the special attacks and master the combat system, one of the most rewarding things is starting a new quest after you have maxed out your stats (this usually would be on your 3rd playthrough unless you did a lot of grinding the first time around, personally I'm not a fan of grinding and your level will be fairly high anyway so it will still be pretty fun the 2nd time around), being able to breeze through the game while having some enemies put out a real challenge without getting instakilled repeatedly makes it a lot better, I would compare it to a fairly primitive Smash Bros. in which Link is one of my mains.
The BS stands for Broadcast Satellite. There were 3 of them I think. 2 were remakes/ports and 1 was a sequel to Link to the Past and was set in hyrule during the events of Link's Awakening while Link is stranded at Koholint.
I know it's so typical, but Ocarina will always be my favorite due to how it Kickstarted my love for video games as a whole, it kinda changed my whole life.
Windwaker is one of my first games growing up with the Idea of exploring the open seas blew my 6 year old mind. I won't for get count less hours staying on outset because I did not know what to do. Twilight princess is on my top 5 favorite zelda games but I seriously don't mind the graphics as much. Can't see the game without that Style lol
You forgot to add that if you liked Wind Waker, you actually used to hate the idea that they went the cell-shaded Toony look but after playing it, you had a complete change of heart.
02:26 You summed up us oot fans perfectly xD 04:10 I do aöways the exact oposide xD The Wind Waker Artstyle is with no contest my most hated Artstyle in the Zelda games.
I swear to god I was just waiting for my favorite game to come up, all of these I was like, “this isn’t accurate at all”. And then you got to windwaker then every single point you made was true. I was shook.

Are...
How does this guy not have more subscribers? He deserves more!
No u. 😋
Fi
@Joseph Brandenburg as a seasoned zelda veteran i've just learned to ignore the annoying sidekicks lmao
@@stringbean5259 I love Fi, I wish other people could have understood. Especially her theme song.
@Joseph Brandenburg oooh yes, her theme is gorgeous~ i love the skyward sword ost soooo much
I can’t have a crush on Marin, she’s like 30 pixels.
'Do NoT lIsTeN tO hIm'
I fell out of my chair laughing
The Oracles games aren't my favorite favorite but I felt so called out when they mentioned them as being linked because that's exactly what I do 🤦♀️
If we dont get a wind waker switch port this year I'm gonna cry
Nintendo: Get used to disappointment!
Skyward Sword!!!
Most wii u games are getting ported so maybe it will be.
The Oracle games were played to death in my youth. Majora will always be my favorite though ❤️
A solid pick!
Hell yes, Dragon Roost Island's theme is one hell of a dopamine rush. Its a truly epic theme for a great island.
I always loved A Link to the Past. Still to this day, my favorite from the 90's. Turtle rock was the biggest challenge.
You should do a randomizer, breathes new life into it.
Keep it up!
Ha ha, I'm glad you enjoyed that gag!
It was actually unscripted. I added it in later without Nayru's approval.
What is "i'm not really sure"?
Didn't see it in either part
Ehh... give me a minute to whip up an answer. 😅
"Either you haven't played a Zelda game before, or you feel morally obligated to treat all Zelda games with the same amount of love.
@@TheBreadPirate i didn't say i like them all equally, i said i'm not sure which is my favorite
I can't help you then. 😥
You are an anomoly! (Which is cool since that means you're unique.)
Im very thankful my youtube recommended me this video it was great!! shout out to all the Zelda Game and Watch and Zelda Game watch fans! now off to part 2!
Ha ha, godspeed Linkachu! Zeldom did a good job.
I enjoyed your video, also must've been humiliation to add Nayru huh? 😂
Utter humiliations indeed!
I'm planning multiple forms of revenge on him at the moment.
I feel called out. I had written a draft comment talking about how Ocarina was good, but it devolved into me talking about LttP so I'd say you were pretty accurate lol. Anyway, nice video!
In most cases, if Wind Waker is your favorite game, you love your grandma very, very much.👵💗
Grandmas rule
You also have a thing for Medli...
i like majora mask and the noise for dead lines is usually either the moon falling or the theme of the last day going f a s t
My favorite game is Majora's Mask, and I just have to say that what you guys said for it is extremely accurate lmao
Water PTSD got me lol. The water temple was something else...
Funny thing for me was i was 6 years old and completed the water temple easily man was i lucky
@@jesseyagci6495 I did it on my moms profile when I was between 4-6. I don’t remember exactly. I hated it though lol. I always get confused
Majora's mask was very accurate
Glad we were able to predict that for you! 😁
Didn't have to come for my soul with the dopamine rush from dragon roost island theme but HERE WE ARE. well played!
Me who played every 3D Zelda game except for Wind Waker: why yall picking on Twilight Princess? ;(
Either way
100% accurate No debates
Ha ha, sorry about that. 😅
I'm a huge fan of Twilight Princess too. We just wanted to be 100% Accurate with our explinations.
@@TheBreadPirate
Of course there is no debate or any irony in any of this at all
@@theconductoresplin8092 Exactly!
4:02 We were only able to play through it once, but that was *so* much fun.
Yes, many links were tossed into many pits, both by accident, and not so accident....
A link between worlds was great! Did u like it? I loved it
I haven't played it yet, but I want to!
@@TheBreadPirate its amazing if u check ign review and other list is at the top sooo yeah wut your favourite game?
I don't have one! I think all the games are special in some way.
@@TheBreadPirate yeah dat gud bro cheers hav a lovely day!
@@TheBreadPirate Oh you should, the revamped dungeons are a lot of fun.
As someone who first Zelda game (and video game for the matter) is Wind Waker, that is still playing it to this day without guetting tired... I can say for the Wind Waker part that you are 100% right... except the third... I just discovered your channel with this video actually ahah but it made me want to watch it.
Actually, even though Windwaker is my favorite Zelda game; Twilight Princess is a close second runner. I played both these games on the Wii U remake and even thought they are polar opposites from eatchother I love both game for how amazing they are!
it's so scary how the wind waker bit is kinda true for me, although I'm more along the lines of wanting to play tp rather than bash it.
Ayy! I'm the same way. :D
The Adventure of Link is my favorite because it's actually hard.
Challenges can be fun.
I have that noise you were using as the transition set as notification on my phone and it was driving me nuts when I kept hearing it even though I knew that it was the video. 😂
Majors mask is just 👌😶
👁👄👁, in my opinion it's scary but g o o d like wtf it's just amazing
XD I can't explain how good it is, ugh, if only people will understand
Yah! If only people understood
I swear you just had 300 subs like a week ago
Update: i swear you just had 1,700 subs yesterday
Not quite. But I started the year with exactly 666 subs!
I can't stop with wind wakers music and graphics! They are both done so well.
Well Link's Awakening was my first game, and Marin was pretty cool!
God forbid anyone thinks the CD-I games are their favorite unless you did lots of UA-cam Poops with them!
Also not wrong about deadlines give MM is my favorite in the series :P
Majoras Mask is a great game! I can see why it's your favorite (and why deadlines make that noise.)
I’m currently playing ocarina of time, and now I’m scared I’ll get water ptsd from lord Jabu Jabu’s belly after watching this.
i gotta say that im amazed with how accurate this is. as a zelda freak, every one of the zelda games (exept cdi's, and whatever tf BS is bc i havent played them, and i dont think anyone thinks of Zelda 2 as a good game) are S-Teir games.
If you have no idea what the BS Zelda games are, I just released a video 30 minutes ago that explains their history.
Glad someone finally talks about the Oracle games. The best 2D Zelda...

Whaaaat? I actually think the Twilight Princess graphics have aged really really well-probably the 2nd best out of the series. It’s dark and gritty
Agreed. TP is also my favorite Zelda game.

I would more so say I have a crush on Marin's singing voice. Those GameBoy beeps made me swoon
So glad I found your channel, looking foreword to more great videos!

I legitimately thought you said Zelda, while referring to Link
I thought for wind waker he was gonna say, "You are jamming out to our background music right now." Then he didn't. RIP
First thing i noticed 🤣
Windwaker is one of my first games growing up with the Idea of exploring the open seas blew my 6 year old mind. I won't for get count less hours staying on outset because I did not know what to do. Twilight princess is on my top 5 favorite zelda games but I seriously don't mind the graphics as much. Can't see the game without that Style lol
I do like creepy and that “Dawn of Insert Day Here” is so iconic!
You forgot to add that if you liked Wind Waker, you actually used to hate the idea that they went the cell-shaded Toony look but after playing it, you had a complete change of heart.
Bread seems like really low value to plunder. May i suggest plundering metals or at least funko pops? You can flip those on dummies.
Nah, bread is where it's at.
"The Dragon Roost Island Theme gives you a dopamine rush!"
Bullseye.

lol
Water Temple ez... once you run it 7 times and memorize where everything is.

You summed up us oot fans perfectly xD
04:10 I do aöways the exact oposide xD The Wind Waker Artstyle is with no contest my most hated Artstyle in the Zelda games.
Ayy, you do you! It's alright if you didn't like it.
I like windwaker because, i had a personal obsession with pirates, and love cell shaded art, so windwaker is one of my favorites
the joke about hearing this at the back of your head was a bad timing for me to take a sip of water XD it almost got me to catastrophe zone lol
I swear to god I was just waiting for my favorite game to come up, all of these I was like, “this isn’t accurate at all”. And then you got to windwaker then every single point you made was true. I was shook.
4:20 i haven't even played WW yet, but these three things are very true
Ha ha, happy to hear we hit the nail on the head.
Twilight Princess...you probably also like Lord of the Rings.
Or Tim Burton in general.
2:17 the BS stood for Broadcast of something along those lines, cause you know, it was streamed on the Famicom satellaview.
Wow what a quality video that didn't bullshit me about my subjective favorite making me a random noun out of a Buzzfeed quiz and instead actually saying often-clever generalized reasons why someone would like these games. No wonder this website's algorithm didn't help it out too much
Ha ha, that's UA-cam for yah! I'm glad you liked it.
I think of the final hours theme whenever I almost turn in a assignment with less than a hour
You nailed it with a Link to the Past😂
