Ron has five older brothers who are all successful in different ways, and now he is best friends with the famous Harry Potter. He feels completely overshadowed.
Hagrid can't use magic because in the next movie (which you've seen so no spoilery things) it tells us that when Hagrid was in school himself, he was framed and expelled. Not hard to see how every bad wizard came from Slytherin. If I was cheated that fragrantly, by such an unashamedly bias headmaster, I would turn bad too
My favorite character was Hermione Granger. She reminds me of my first girl friend, Margaret Wilson. We were both in the same class in the 6th grade. Margaret was a know it all. She got straight A and was as cute as they come. She could have been Emma Watson's sister. Our romance lasted all of 3 months. Watching Harry Potter brought back some very endearing memories of Mr. Cann's 6th grade class in 1957.
My favorite Harry Potter good guy character is Albus Dumbledore and my favorite bad guy character is Bellatrix Lestrange with Lord Voldemort being a close second.
Hey Centane!😊 U know, I almost didn't watch this reaction because u said u had already seen the 1st 4 movies, & that u had seen HARRY POTTER & THE SORCERER'S STONE many times. The reason why I stayed was because I love your reactions. I'm glad I did stay because it was fun watching how giddy u were even though you'd seen the movie numerous times, & I liked watching u occasionally say the lines.😄 My favorite character is Hermione. I am very much like her, maybe because I am also a Virgo.😊 I have also been called a "know it all" which depending how it's said can hurt my feelings.😩 It's funny that my favorite movie is THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX w/THE PROSONER OF AZKABAN as a close 2nd, but, as far as the books, my favorite is the Goblet of Fire. Since u seem to love the world of Harry Potter so much, have u gone onto the free Wizarding World app to take the Sorting Hat Quiz for your House, the Paronus Quiz for your patronus & Wand Quiz for your wand type? I have, & I have taken the Pottermore Quizzes before the Wizarding World app came out. Even though I stayed w/Ravenclaw, I could have gone in either Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff because my personality lands exactly in the middle of those 2 Houses, according to the extended quiz I took.😊 My patronus is a falcon & my wand is cypress wood w/phoenix feather core. Professor Remus Lupin had a cypress wand.😊 I have read all the books, & I'm honestly thinking about re-reading them because it's been awhile. The only reason I started reading the books was because my much younger cousin (I think she was 12yrs old at the time & I was 28.) chose Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone for her summer reading. We switched off reading chapters aloud until we finished the book. When I read, I would do character voices on how I thought they sounded. I must have done a pretty good job because a couple of my cousin's friends came over to the house while I was reading a chapter, & when I finished the chapter, one of the girls begged me not to stop reading.😄 Anyway, I was very entertained by your reaction & will continue w/u on your journey thru these movies.😊
Codswallop is a very english term for nonsense. We dont really say it too much anymore, but we would all understand it 😂 im gonna translate your upcoming reactions if theres certain words you need explained 😅
I'm no authority, but as I recall from a similar discussion; not ALL evil wizards are from Slytherin, but they do have the plurality of the evil wizards that come from their house. Hufflepuff apparently produced the least amount of evil wizards. Even in this series there are other evil wizards who are NOT from Slytherin as well as finding some GOOD Slytherin.
1. Yes, the deluminator was in the book. 2. R.I.P. Maggie Smith, but not "oh... Rest in peace" for Richard Harris? How misandric! (Tsk-tsk) 3. My favourite characters: Neville, Lee Jordan, Mr Weasly, Severus Snape, Hermione, Mrs Weasly, Beatrix, Lupin, Sirius, Tonx, Moody, Weasly Twins, Ginny, Hedwig - with slight fluctuations to the order, depending on which part is currently being watched or read.
Hermione only lied to the teachers after she'd heard what Ron said earlier about her not having any friends. She realised the boys were there to save her from the troll and lied to cover for them so they would want her for a friend...
@@lynetteoliva1256 I think it depends on how you pronounce "lay". By itself, and within a number other words, it does sound like chicken birth, "I'm going to lay an egg." But there times, when as part of a word (like the Spanish-derived word "playa"), it should be pronounced like, "Tell the truth and don't lie." In the Hawai'ian language "lai" and "lie" rhyme, though in English lai is typically pronounced with the hard A sound, as in "lair". So by my reckoning, everyone here is right (except maybe me, I might have made an error or two). Also by my reckoning, English has a very weird set of "rules", more like guidelines, really.
@inspectre27 Maybe u r right depending on which country is reading what u wrote, but if it's UK or American english speakers, then it's pronounced "lie" as in "You lie." not "lay" as in "Lay an egg." I know Hawai'i is a part of America, but u were talking about the Hawaiian language pronunciation of words, not english.
The scene which shows to me how stupid Harry is. The sudden influx of mail from Hogwarts: Harry jumping to catch one in the air instead of grabbing a bunch from the floor tucking them into his pants and dashing off to his closet; even if caught by uncle he'd manage to stow at least one away...
My family and I are big Harry Potter fans. We've reached the point where when we need background noise, we'll put on a Harry Potter film because we've seen them so many times and know what's going to happen. My father also has a theory that the Harry Potter books and films thematically start at Christmas and end at Easter. For those who say the Harry Potter series is too occult and promotes witchcraft only have a surface-level interpretation. When you look deeper, Harry Potter is a great example of a fantasy trope called the Christian Myth, which is the telling of the Gospel story outside of a biblical narrative. Other examples of the Christian Myth include the works of the Inklings (The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, etc...). RIP Richard Harris, Dame Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, and Alan Rickman. We've not lost the main faculty of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Also RIP Sir John Hurt. The "In Memorium" for this franchise easily becomes a who's-who of great British actors. "I Shouldn't Have Told You That!" should be the title of Hagrid's autobiography.
Hermione is awesome character. I love her so much. Richard Harris who played Dumbledore in the first two movie was the best Dumbledore ever. And Alan Rickman was great as Snape and Maggie smith was a great as McGonagall and Hagrid as Robbie Coltrane was great actor too. Lots Actors in Harry Potter have passed away
39:46 Just to be sure, you're talking about the actor who played Quirrell, right? If you are, his name is Ian Hart. The reason I ask is because I wasn't sure if you were talking about either the actor who played Quirrell or Voldemort, despite not being revealed yet, after hearing his voice for the first time. I was going to say if you were talking about the actor who played Voldemort, he was performed by the same actor. Ian Hart performed the voice and motion capture of the CGI head of Voldemort after his live performance as Quirrell.
I was around 44, single white male whom grew up on Disney in the 60's. Loved it. Music, acting, director, story beats. I turned my Mom onto it and she also enjoyed the films and unlike me - got the books in her 60's as a new fan as well.

Hello Centane. What is your opinion on 2 different theories about Hermione? One is that she comes from a line of Squibs. The second is that she is actually Harry's older sister?

@@Durag__bandit98Is Percy Jackson as beloved as the Harry Potter series? Maybe, Percy Jackson was better suited for TV. I mean, The Rings of Power wasn't well received even though the network chose to make another Season. With the Harry Potter TV series, I think we just have to see how it goes.
Fun watching you fangirl over the lines in Harry Potter. But one question for you. What language do you / did you prefer to read the books in? English, or the Norwegian translation. My preferance is always English, if that is the language a book is orignally written in. Norwegian translations of character names and such is far too cringy for my taste. And I never ever read a book if it is in Nynorsk.

I'm glad I did stay because it was fun watching how giddy u were even though you'd seen the movie numerous times, & I liked watching u occasionally say the lines.😄
My favorite character is Hermione. I am very much like her, maybe because I am also a Virgo.😊 I have also been called a "know it all" which depending how it's said can hurt my feelings.😩
It's funny that my favorite movie is THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX w/THE PROSONER OF AZKABAN as a close 2nd, but, as far as the books, my favorite is the Goblet of Fire.
Professor Remus Lupin had a cypress wand.😊
I have read all the books, & I'm honestly thinking about re-reading them because it's been awhile. I must have done a pretty good job because a couple of my cousin's friends came over to the house while I was reading a chapter, & when I finished the chapter, one of the girls begged me not to stop reading.😄
Anyway, I was very entertained by your reaction & will continue w/u on your journey thru these movies.😊
Hope you end up reading them too. The books are why I am in love with this series.
The Godfather one week and Harry Potter the next. I like your variety!
😄
Codswallop is a very english term for nonsense. We dont really say it too much anymore, but we would all understand it 😂 im gonna translate your upcoming reactions if theres certain words you need explained 😅
I'm no authority, but as I recall from a similar discussion; not ALL evil wizards are from Slytherin, but they do have the plurality of the evil wizards that come from their house. Hufflepuff apparently produced the least amount of evil wizards. Even in this series there are other evil wizards who are NOT from Slytherin as well as finding some GOOD Slytherin.
There's been 27 actors from the films who have died
1. Yes, the deluminator was in the book.
2. R.I.P. Maggie Smith, but not "oh... Rest in peace" for Richard Harris? How misandric! (Tsk-tsk)
3. My favourite characters: Neville, Lee Jordan, Mr Weasly, Severus Snape, Hermione, Mrs Weasly, Beatrix, Lupin, Sirius, Tonx, Moody, Weasly Twins, Ginny, Hedwig - with slight fluctuations to the order, depending on which part is currently being watched or read.
what a wonderfull reaction... love it!
Hermione only lied to the teachers after she'd heard what Ron said earlier about her not having any friends. She realised the boys were there to save her from the troll and lied to cover for them so they would want her for a friend...
How to speak British: Harry potter - herwi potah
Water - wotah
Tuesday - chusdei
Night - noit
Liar - layah
What - woat
U sure about the Liar one. Wouldn't it be Liar- ly'ah & Lair- lay'ah?
If you enjoy Maggie Smith, "Sister Act" was a really fun movie.
I'm surprised you didn't recognise or mention david Bradley
There’s 8 Harry Potter movies
thank you for listening to my suggestion of Checking out Harry Potter :)
Harry is the boy who lived
Only Kam could get me to watch Harry Potter. She's a true influencer 💯
Personally I'd love to watch videos on your thoughts on the books as well, don't be shy about that stuff!
Kamilla this is meant in the best possible way…you were nearly as much of a know-it-all as the Hermoine Granger. 😉😉😉
😄
Hermione is awesome character. I love her so much. Richard Harris who played Dumbledore in the first two movie was the best Dumbledore ever. And Alan Rickman was great as Snape and Maggie smith was a great as McGonagall and Hagrid as Robbie Coltrane was great actor too. Lots Actors in Harry Potter have passed away
Hermione lied about the troll because she wanted to prove herself to Harry and Ron. She was desperate for friends.
Her: let’s rewatch a movie together
The comments: EVERYONE IS FUCKING DEAD
Harry Potter hits different in the winter and Christmas time
"The Hat" is clearly Walder Frey from GOT.
I was around 44, single white male whom grew up on Disney in the 60's. Loved it. Music, acting, director, story beats. I turned my Mom onto it and she also enjoyed the films and unlike me - got the books in her 60's as a new fan as well.
Well look at this, an excuse to watch the movies again with you
Also, i make that cake all the time (not always the frosting)
It’s a sticky chocolate cake, and it is amazing
Awesome reaction ❤❤😂😂
That intro is fire AF!!!
25:33 Isn't it hilarious how casually Hermione sets fire to a teacher?😅
And 2 years later she’s gonna call out Harry for directly attacking Snape lol
Don't forget to watch Harry Potter 20th Anniversary (2022) after you've finished The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Enjoy the journey. Bring tissues for the rest of the series, going to need it.
-Sage
You gonna react to 7 more Harry Potter movies
Wish I had a Hagrid doing story time when I was growing up. 😊
If i remember rightly anyone born up to 1997 yeah your records if you had the potential to be magic as a muggle born were destroyed by voldemorts ministry :(
Do you know how many Harry Potter characters passed away sad
27
Peeves: apparently they cast Rik Mayall but there was already too much material. It would have been epic. Captain Flashheart all over again
Peeves sadly didn't get included in the movie.
Supposedly they had filmed a couple of scenes w/Peeves, but these scenes didn't make the cut.
You have my understanding and support. I've loved Hermione from the first scene I read that had her in. I can't find a fault with the girl.
No, it's not true that only Slytherin produces bad wizards. There are definitely some from other colleges, including Gryffindor as well
I think my favorite character other than the mains is Luna Lovegood.
This was a great reaction 🙏🏽 my life is very similar to Harry Potter I’m a social outcast and I believe in magick team gyrffindor
I study the book of shadows The word “magick” was created by aleister Crowley, the founder and occultist of the thelema religion he added the “k” to distinguish his craft from illusionist and magicians since he did not perform “tricks”
He was a wicked man!
Kamilla how are u. I love your reaction channel ❤
My fav movie series ive read every book about 8x and most of the first 2 movies pretty book accurate they just left out some characters cuz of time but pretty much a direct adaptation the ones theres differences ill note for u or explanations that arent spoilers
Hagrid as well
Robbie Coltrane
1950 -2022
I loved these movies and Hogwarts Legacy too and I was Slytheryn in the game. Please dont wait too long to watch all of them cause im loving your reaction.
Hello Centane. What is your opinion on 2 different theories about Hermione? One is that she comes from a line of Squibs. The second is that she is actually Harry's older sister?
I love this movie.
Funny u chose today to release this because they redoing all the movies in tv format and they announced today they cast the new trio just waiting to announce it
I can pretty much predict its failure already.
@@SleepySeelPercy Jackson didn’t fail
@@Durag__bandit98Is Percy Jackson as beloved as the Harry Potter series? Maybe, Percy Jackson was better suited for TV. I mean, The Rings of Power wasn't well received even though the network chose to make another Season. With the Harry Potter TV series, I think we just have to see how it goes.
You should make yourself some butter beer
Fun watching you fangirl over the lines in Harry Potter.
But one question for you.
What language do you / did you prefer to read the books in? English, or the Norwegian translation.
My preferance is always English, if that is the language a book is orignally written in. Norwegian translations of character names and such is far too cringy for my taste. And I never ever read a book if it is in Nynorsk.
What is a 'cod's wallop'? According to a learned counsel..the term is an East-endof London colloquialism for 'a woman who cannot keep her mouth shut'. In short - Codswallop is a colourful, informal way to describe something that's utterly ridiculous, especially a written or spoken statement you find absurd. Now you know 🤓
Peeves, along with Professor Binns, Ludo Bagman, Winky and others never turned up in the movies, a pity
Happy early birthday! Today is mine, tomorrow is yours!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALFREDO
50 points to gryffindor !
