- Join the nationwide, virtual commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Liberation of Auschwitz, hosted by the members of the Australian Holocaust Museum Alliance.
This event is a reminder to Australians that it is up to the young generation to keep the light of remembrance alive by ensuring discrimination, intolerance, injustice and racial vilification cease to exist.
As a key part of this event, Holocaust survivors will participate in a moving candle lighting ceremony to ensure that the memory of the 6 million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, is never forgotten.
Hear moving speeches from Holocaust survivor Yvonne Engelman OAM, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and Edward Santow, Human Rights Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission, among many others.
