Whenever I buy box furniture, I always purchase a big bottle of Elmer’s wood glue I use it in all the seams as I am assembling the furniture. No matter how inexpensive the furniture, it will not weaken or fall a part. Once it dries, it as close to permanent as you can get. Love your channel, you guys makeovers are my favorite.

Yes, I have to agree , wood glue does wonders! I do the same thing! Extends the life of the furniture, especially when the quality is not so great!

It really does match great, doesn't it? I didn't even plan it that way. I just really loved the carpet. It's the exact same carpet we had at the rental trailer. Only this one is much smaller. 😊

Valerie I love the hardwood. A word of advice if you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for good furniture, go to junk and second hand stores. They have furniture that was built in the day when it was build with real wood not cardboard. All that stuff you order on line is mostly cardboard. And when it gets weight on it it falls apart sooner or later. But I love his room. It looks so nice. I am so glad that the boys are finally getting their rooms finished and granny. I like his rug a lot. I bet he was so happy when he got home.
I agree the real wood from the thrift stores are soooo much better!

AMZN has changed so much. I was going to order this treadmill but when I saw it was over $100 for shipping, I didn’t. He’d just can’t overload those drawers. It’s probably still going to fall apart ur it will last a little longer.

Valerie, the rug doesn't need to go all the way under the bed. You could pull it out more so that only the two legs are on the rug. It would visually open up the room alot more, and make it look bigger.

Looks so good!!! I can't wait until I get my 1970 double wide up to par. I inherited from my parents I grew up in it so it's very nostalgic but so outdated! That blue is very pretty w/the wood color you chose. Happy decorating!

When I buy cheaply made dressers, I reinforce it with wood glue along with the screws that came with it. Makes it more sturdy! 😉

I enjoyed this episode so much. I smiled every time I saw Willowberry. So so cute. I’ve heard u mention your oldest son and your youngest son. Don’t you have 3 sons? You know what the youngest son’s room looks like to me? Maybe someone needed their own space and that room was the living room to Granny’s room so they could watch their own tv shows and have privacy. I know that because my home is like that. Separate from elderly parents. So I love ❤️ u and Tim and ur family. Especially willowberry.

My 2 cents...find a good solid wood dresser at a thrift shop or Marketplace. Paint it black and put some modern, industrial drawer pulls on it and don't worry about replacing it. It will last and last. It will be less expensive and better quality.

Love the new floors! The finished bedroom looks nothing like it did when y’all started remodeling! I’m sure your son is very pleased with what you’ve done for him. It’s fun to see Tim slowly coming out of his shell too. You both work well together. Valerie, when my children were young I cooked every night just like you. All of my children are now in their forties and it’s so nice not to have to do it as often as I used to. I cook two to three times a week and make enough to have leftovers the next night so I don’t have to cook two nights in a row and also that groceries have become so expensive and we waste nothing. It all gets eaten til it’s gone. Please take care of your leg/ foot!
