I don’t know if you finished the inside of Granny’s closet yet but I have a suggestion. I’m assuming that she doesn’t wear long dresses anymore so you could put two rods across, high and low.The reason is that the low bar will be easier to reach from the wheelchair or even if she can stand some, she wouldn’t have to reach up.(and get wobbly) The high bar could be for seasonal clothes which your big boys could switch for her. (Can you tell that I took care of both of my parents?)

Valerie I love the color white. It just makes everything so much brighter. And you can accessorize to make it all pop. Colorful pillows, bedspreads, curtains, bright wall decor, just beautiful. You guys are really getting a good start with it. Can’t wait to see the hardwood. Dinner looked delicious, but then it always does. Give the fur babies a big hug for me. Can’t wait for the next one. Take care and God bless all of you.

When I was a little girl we lived on a farm and all the animals were either work animals or for food. We had chickens but they were primarily for eggs and they provided an occasional Sunday dinner. (Sorry, Valerie.) We had a sow who had a HUGE litter of piglets and she could not feed all of them so we adopted the runt of the litter and fed him with a baby bottle. He would squeeze under the fence of the pigpen and come up to the house where he would show up at the back door and grunt until someone went out and gave him his bottle. We rather unimaginatively called him "Grunt, Grunt". Way down in the Fall dad announced that it was Grunt Grunt's turn to be turned into sausage and we all started crying and begged him not to kill Grunt Grunt. We told him there's no way we could eat him because he was a pet. Dad gave into our cries and shortly thereafter Grunt Grunt disappeared and Dad told us that he had sold him to a man who owned a farm far far away from the town and Grunt Grunt would live a peaceful life and enjoy his country living. I hate to admit how old I was before I realized how unlikely this story was. I'm not sure whether that farmer fed Grunt Grunt to his own family or whether he surreptitiously brought a load of sausage back to OUR farm and Dad fed him to our family. I think I prefer not to know...even all these years later.

Tks for videos. Much love to ya. Hard working on your home will be so worth it in time. That's what we have been doing for 13 yrs in single mobile home. After kids gone we took 2 smaller bedrooms and end of hall had full bath and turned into eff apt. In master bathroom which is huge gutted it out made a bed/bath with claw tub, queen size bed...it turned out very nice. In master bedroom is now my palor...2 recliners. kitchenett, 3 bakers racks and bistro set, large screen smart tv on walls...have cameras 12 to view back/front yards. Love all the changes we are still doing. So nice to see what all ya are doing. I am 64 yrs old , we have chickens for eggs, dogs and cats and 3 ducks for eggs. Live in foothills of Blue Ridge Mtns of North Carolina. TTYL

Valerie and Tm, God has really showered you and your family with blessings. Your land in the Virginia mountains is absolutely breathtaking! Your chicken and sides looked delicious. Don't feel bad l always overcooked chicken and never owned a meat thermometer. You are inspiring me at 73 yrs. old to start buying fresh chicken again and to invest in a meat thermometer! My beloved husband tried to grow a veg. garden in our backyard in the big city but bless his heart, it was overtaken by the watermelon patch. So, my advice if you plant watermelon seeds, be sure it is in a separate large area far away from the other vegs. Tune in to "Moss Family Kitchen", Falon is always cooking new recipes for her 5 children and hubby. Also, she has chickens, a rooster of course and Miss Turkey and those farm critters are treated like part of the family. Miss Turkey and her flock will never be part of the Thanksgiving or Sunday afternoon supper! God Bless!

Those carrot peelings make a good veggie broth too. Just add water, onions and celery scraps, salt pepper and boil for 1.5 hours. Drain and give those scraps to the compost pile then and until then until then the broth goes to the human and then the chickens. Compost is your first lesson to learn when growing a garden.

Hi Valerie. Nice to see you. Thanks for the video. Lovely views of the Virginia mountains and countryside. Looks like some bulbs have pushed on up. Canning & pickling can be economical & healthy. I don’t do canning but I do a lot of pickling of all sorts of vegetables. And I save veggie scraps in ziplock bags to use for stock & cleaned & dried to roast in the oven-🥔peels w/oil, garlic&onion powders,s&p-or other spices/herbs-better than store bought chips-not to mention healthier-yummy 😘
So, the temperature of proteins will continue to rise after you remove them from the heat source. If you remove chicken breasts at 165 they’ll be 175 after 7-9 minutes.
I’m sure as moonshine🌙 that you can learn whatever you want to❤.

When you start granny bathroom you could make the vanity sink area able for wheel chair to roll under it like a chair . Jus a suggestion.

If you specifically buy meat birds that's what they are, meat birds. They grow fast and big and they need to be processed at a particular time or they will pretty much eat themselves to death. Also, their legs will break from the weight.
If you are just getting chicks for hens and a rooster that is totally different. Hens for eggs and a rooster if you want fertile eggs so that you can hatch your own if you want to.

Hello Valerie, that was another wonderful video . Tim sure does work so hard and you’re such a devoted wife. I think I would cut that middle tree down so I could see the full view of the mountains through the window. Just a thought. I hope you all have a blessed week. Your meal looked so delicious, made my mouth water. 🥰♥️💐

Will you run the flooring into Granny’s bathroom before you work on it? Might be easier with a seamless transition?
