I have yet to attempt paint on a tumbler....
I might have to try soon! 🤗
Pharaohz Houndz Yes, they are so fun and easy to do.
Love this ! Can you send me a link on the water slide truck please
Thank you so much, The link is listed towards the bottom with in the description.
Thank you for sharing this. My question is what is the difference between the ready to pour and just using acrylic paint? Can you use just regular acrylics?
Hi. I just watched several of your dirty pour videos. I’m mesmerized. I up cycle cleaned candle jars and I think this technique would look great on them. Question, can extra fine glitter be used instead of epoxy additives?
Awww how fun!! Thank you so much for watching and extra fine would work but if you do plan to mix into the epoxy I would not recommend using a lot. And yes I think the candle jars would look amazing with this technique. ❤️❤️
Love it !!
Thank you so much!
Such a beautiful tumbler. I tried this method but when I removed my tape, my paint had a lot of elasticity in it. I was very stretchy. I allowed it to dry for 24 hours and it didn't feel wet or damp at all. Any idea why and how I might prevent it on the next try? Thanks.
Thats a solid question, In colder temps perhaps the paint needed more dry time.
Beautiful!! I also ordered some tumblers from A&B. They aren't here yet but have to do a full water slide for the first time so wish me luck. 😁
Robin Hanff Sooo exciting, you are going to do great! Good luck ❤️
I have heard epoxy over paint melts the paint, did you spray the paint when dried?
This is beautiful!!! Just wondering if you can use regular paint or does it need to be ready to pour? Thank you :)
Thank you so much! You can use regular paints but they do need to be mixed with water to thin them out, they do have tutorials for this as well. Ready to pour paints just make them so much easier.
Very NICE!! Did you seal the paint after it dried?
Thank you so much, not on purpose lol, it’s not necessary but there was over spray when I sealed the glitter. It’s okay as it doesn’t hurt it at all.
This is beautiful, but do you have to expoxy again over the water slide? If not, how does it stay securely on the cup? In case you can’t tell, water slides are new to me, and I’m kind of intimidated by them.
Yes I did have to apply epoxy as my final coat on the tumbler. It’s ok to be nervous, but jump in and play with them, start out with small ones you’ll enjoy working with the waterslides in no time.
When did you take the tape off after you Poured the paint on the cup before dried or after a dried
I removed the tape after 24 hrs, once the cup was fully dry.
Did you seal the paint before you added the tape (before the glitter)
What would I seal paint with? Can I use regular acrylic paint with water added?
No, once I added the glitter I did then seal the entire tumbler however sealing the paint isnt necessary but since there was going to be over spray I just did the whole tumbler. Yes you can add water to the paint, they have tons of tutorials on this method right here on YT.
Can u share where you got the waterslide from. Thanks
Beautiful tumbler.
Kristen Keown Absolutely, I put the Etsy link in the description to where the image can be found.
Beautiful! Do you have to do anything to the inside of the cup so it's safe for drinking?
Other then clean it fully once the whole design process is complete, Its ready and safe for use.
I love your videos i came across you today and have been binge watching for the past 4 hours... Your waterslides print so nice even your printed vinyl. What printer do u have i have purchased 3 and they come out with lines and dotted and ive changed every setting and cleaned it..
AWWWW, Thank you so much. I am so happy you enjoy my tutorials, I use an HP inkjet Envy 5542. Its a little cheapy lol
Can you use alcohol paint instead of the acrylic?
Yes, you sure can. ❤
How do you get the paint so smooth???? I did a pour once and you could see and feel the lumps of paint.
I can not be sure on that, lucky maybe lol
Did you have to wait until the Mod Podge dries before you seal it?
What measurements did you do for the strip?
What color paint did u use ?
Black and Magenta from deco art,
After u poured down, did u let it dry first before removing the tape.. and was it hard to remove. Because u didn't show that part..
She let it dry for 24 hours
Do you seal the paint you poured before the mod podge and glitter?
No, sealing the paint isn't necessary.
Thank you. You did another beautiful tumbler.
alicia coccarelli I really appreciate that, thank you so much ❤️
If you don't mind me asking what do you use to print the waterslide on?
I use this, This is for inkjet printers. www.amazon.com/Sheets-Inkjet-Transparent-Printer-Transfer/dp/B06XP7NZ62/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&aaxitk=DpBTBXf5bxCYVtNGM-im3w&hsa_cr_id=7214556330301&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_mcd_asin_0
@@RebeccaEscott thank you and love your how to videos thanks for sharing
Rebecca Rodriguez Absolutely you are so welcome
So after the dirty pour there is no lifting off of the paint when you take the tape off.?
No there isnt, I also waited 24 hrs before peeling the tape.
What is the epoxy that you use?
CCDIY
If i may ask where do you get ur tumblers from
Of course, here is the link to where I get my tumblers, and you can use my coupon code Escott15 off your entire purchase! abdesignsco.com
Can you use Brite Tone instead of epoxy? I get really bad headaches with epoxy
Yes.. Im a BT user too. More coats, smooth glitter, same otherwise
@@epoxyafterdark6183 Thank you.
What is the name of the color red paint you used?
I used black and magenta red from deco art ready to pour paints.
@@RebeccaEscott thank you!! This cup is gorgeous!
Where did you get that glitter tape??
That's not glitter tape, that's actually glitter HTV, that I applied to the gold stripe.
How do you make the sliver and black band?
If you don’t mind I can share another video of mine with you that can show you how you can do it.
Creative Vinyl Designs By Rebecca Escott yes plz
@@supergrannie88 Thank you so much, let me know if you have any questions ok. ua-cam.com/video/HFSGExhp1D0/v-deo.html
What epoxy do you use that has a 2 hr cure time . All mine are 24 ?!?!?!?
Harley Peters Glitter Craze Quick set but this can’t be used as a final coat but it sure helps in the making lol
Did you do that decal yourself or purchased it?
I bought this decal and the link is in the description. Thank you so much for watching❤️
@@RebeccaEscott sorry, meant the other one in between the colors.
@@janelcloutier9543 Oh you mean the black and gold stripe? That I made myself using my cricut.
@@RebeccaEscott Ah, I see it now...it's layered Awesome; I just got my Cricut last month...so much to learn still :-) Thanks for sharing...
Am I imagining it, or did some of the glitter escape into the bottom dirty pour area?
Lol, no I added snow caps which is an epoxy additive into my epoxy. So you were meant to see glitter on the bottom where I did the dirty pour.
I’m gonna attempt to make this but I’m not gonna use the snow caps I don’t like the glitter on the bottom
@@thattttmandi Love that and thats the blessing of cups and tutorials as you can see something you like and or dont like and change it up. Im sure your tumbler will be beautiful without the snow caps. Thank you so much for watching.
How much of the paint did you end up using? Trying to decide if the price of the ready to pour is with it vs mixing it myself :)
I wish I could give an honest answer, I was annoyed with my self for not having made enough to start with. lol Im extra and normally Ive made way more then enough for a project lol
How much epoxy do you need to use on each tumbler
Thats a tough question, alot of factors goes into how much epoxy one will need for a particular tumbler.
Ok thanks
When I printed it after purchase on easy it printed the full 8x10
You can take this image into DS or your Silhouette program to down size the image.
Where did you get the decal?
Esty, heres the link www.etsy.com/listing/652548395/merry-christmas-leopard-truck-clipart?ref=yr_purchases
Epoxy is not good for you but I love the cup!!
I know, caution has to be taken for every user of epoxy, Thank you so much for watching.
