So much going on with so much misinformation being taught that leaves one spinning not knowing where one as a gentile fits in. “Spiritual Jews” is what’s being sold right now or that one has to convert to Judaism in order to be covenanted. What does that even mean? Someone please help!
Hey, Tony. The New Testament teaches that our salvation in Yeshua (Jesus( is by grace alone through faith alone, plus nothing (Eph. 2:8-9). Anyone teaching otherwise is sadly mistaken. Acts 15 is clear that conversion to Judaism is not necessary to come to the Messiah.
Beth Sar Shalom - But what about being in the Covenant in order to partake of the Passover Over Lamb. I understand that Yeshua is the Pass Over Lamb so there is no need for a physical lamb,. Is that correct.
Tony Gonzalez when you follow Jesus you have come under the New Covenant, and May partake of Passover in remembrance of his covenant ratification through His blood
Steven Ger , my Brother in Yeshua. Thank you for responding and I Thank Abba Yahweh for this ministry. You have answered a question I have been wrestling and asking others for years now. I feel a greater since of freedom in my walk of faith this moment. I just want to know how I am supposed to do my walk in and with Yeshua as He commands not as other people may interpret that one has to, usually involves assimilation from the looks of it. @@BethSarShalom Imagine how I felt. My father was a Holocaust survivor; my mother - Catholic. I'm the product of both sides of the equator and two different continents. I struggled with how to view myself (Jewish guilt vs. Catholic guilt. Oy!). Mottel reaffirmed what I believe. It's a good reminder.

Hello Rigo, I usually use the New American Standard translation, but there are other fine versions: The New King James, the new in 2022 Legacy Standard Bible. The one Messianic, or Jewish roots translation I can recommend is The Tree of Life Version. Shalom, Mottel

Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. So then, if those who are not circumcised keep the law’s requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker. A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.
I am totally confused now. Is Mottel saying you can/should participate in easter and christmas if that is how God called you? You can eat pork and shrimp, even boil calves in their mothers milk if that is how you were called to the faith? You can do Sunday or Thursday sabbath if that is how you were called?
So far my understanding of Col 2:16-17 was, don't worry or let others (pagans) judge you on food, drink, or sabbath because you are no longer practicing immoral or blood rituals of the pagans, but now following/honoring the one true God.
One church says yes, the other says no. One assembly says do, the other assembly says don't. I am not sure where this unity - body of one is going to come from. Help me out please.
look up the first ecumenical counsel of Jerusalem, where this very problem existed in early Christianity. Essentially some people wanted every new christian to follow to old Judaic laws, while some gentile Christians refused to be circumscribed.
The apostles come to the conclusion that Christ had fulfilled the law therefore it was not necessary for gentile Christians to observe the old Judaic laws, as long as they were baptized and confessed Christ the messiah.
The unity comes in the body of the Lord Jesus that makes all believers of our Saviour one. Of twain...jew and gentile...we are made one in the body of our Creator made flesh. Men are flawed and will disagree on everything. The Son sets you free. Let's follow truth, love and forgiveness in all things. Glory and thanks to our Father for His wisdom, love and mercy. Be kind to one another brothers and sisters.

You say that the Mosaic law was given only to Israel. Does that mean that Gentiles who are grafted in and adopted by God as His children, should continue to eat unclean meats and rest on Sunday and celebrate Christmas and Easter, and not celebrate the festivals of HaShem our Father, even though only half of those festivals have been fulfilled?
I met Arnold Fruchtenbaum 20 years ago and he told me that I could observe the festivals if I want to but they are for the Jews, not for me.
The 7th day Sabbath at any rate, was sanctified by God from the start, 1,000's of years before Moses. And clean vs unclean animals were known then too, as Noah took different numbers of clean and unclean animals on the ark.

it sounds like you're attributing a divine attribute to something that is not God. Are the 10 commandments a part of God or one with God? if so that sounds awfully Christian
Yes because you want to gain heaven by your own deeds...but God gives heaven to all those who believe in Jesus..not to those who want to gain heaven Through their own deeds.
Yes, the Bible talks about not celebrating certain days, feasts, moons, etc. Some Jews don't even do the Sabbath. Matthew 24 says pray that Christ's second return not on a Sabbath. We're suppose to keep it still even in the New testament y i get on Jews cases who don't. I was raised by the Jehovah's witness at my family's request y that was a gentile Fiesta of the woman cutting their hair totally against 1 Corinthians 11. I started doing the Sabbath about 9 years ago on my own after read the entire Bible y at that time in Spanish as well very carefully comparing. I've benefited tremendously.
