Whats a good way to argue with this? Jesus also says if you seen me, you have seen the father. Jesus christ also healed that blind man. This is something that only god could do. Some say that he is the angel Michael. I don't believe this. It not only doesn't say that in the scripture but I have seen many examples of the father at work, through jesus christ during his pilgrimage

I dunno, the first couple centuries of christianity, nobody had any trouble seeing it as a branch of judaism. I think that's a perfectly reasonable and valuable goal in terms of getting people to understand.. Now if they REJECT that branch, of course. that's what we should expect. But the viewpoint alone is important. Just as sure as mormonism is a branch of christianity. we don't deny that, even if we think they're wrong (sweet people though).

A message that gets more important all the time. We're all people, helping any of us helps all of us, and we _gotta_ do it just the same as if that person was us. Just to be pedantic, I think it was gen X who depreciated marriage, and it was really going on for a good decade before them. Gen Y wants marriage, but can't even get a date. Gen Z are terrifyingly broken robots from where I'm sitting.

Heh. I learn best on my own.. and I've never had meaningful interactions with others at church. You just go and then leave.. but if some kind of more meaningful meeting could occur, that would be swell. til then I'll stick to recorded sermons. I'm with you on being muddled on what to avoid supporting with my spending. I feel like just.. a high tide raises all the boats. and right now the real enemy is the growing anti-business and anti-industry movements poised and ready to riot us back into the stone age.
