  • Today we're talking about a case that has so many open questions and so much that just defies any kind of reason. There wasn’t even a whole lot of evidence at the crime scene. It was like three women vanished into thin air, and left behind a neat and tidy home with no signs of a struggle or a break in.

I’ve always thought that the person or persons involved must live within sight of the house because if it was him calling he was probably watching when people entered the house and so he knew exactly when to call 🤷‍♀️

I'm a ground penetrating radar technician and thank you for explaining the limitations of GPR! Too many people have been fed lots of misinformation, making them think they will see a perfect outline of a body in the soil. it's a little frustrating when you know a subject you're well versed in portrayed in an erroneous manner. even a school or other bus driving - a very cut & dried subject- gets butchered, and that's just one example. i learned/worked different skill jobs until i settled on the one. i know what i don't know as well as what i do but hollywood gets things ridiculously wrong - even the exact opposite of how that job needs to be legally done!

I just want to brag on you for a minute. You're one of the very few true crime utubers that still continually puts out content after reaching 1 million subscribers, and that's why I look forward to pulling you up every day. Some of the other true crime utubers I used to watch barely put out one viedo a week since hitting 1 million subscribers. So, thank you for still putting out plenty of great informative content on a regular basis. Even when you're on vacation, you still put up content, and that's dedication! Keep it up! ❤

I second your comment. I've dropped two content creators because of this. Both of them started by putting out daily videos. Both rose quickly in subscriber numbers. Then it was every other day. We didn't have internet like now. We didn't have all the murders like now. and or knowledge of them.
We did help each other out.
The phone thing well that is what a LOT of people would have done back then. A vulgar call (usually just someone pranking). It was Stacy's mom who deleted it.
The cleaning up AGAIN helping a person out. They were probably waiting around to see if they showed up, they didn't have a phone to distract them, so they would look for something to do. I know we live in a LAZY generation , but we helped each other out.

I met one of the investigators in this case (now retired) recently. We were just chatting about what he did prior to retirement and he mentioned he had been a detective. I asked him if he had a case that he still thinks about today (decades later) and he started talking about this case. He said he still keeps in contact with family and wishes so much that he or anyone had answers for them. Iet's sweep the glass up before knocking on the door - maybe she really loved her friends and didn't want them to get in trouble with the mom, if one of them did knock it and break it? Although cleaning the house when it sounds it was already clean is most sus.

You’re looking at it through the eyes of someone who lives in 2024, not how things were in the 1990s. A lot of answering machines recorded onto cassettes and automatically deleted voicemails once they were listened to.
We didn’t just call the cops immediately when we hadn’t heard from someone back then. And even if we did, they usually made us wait 24 hours to make sure the person was actually missing.

Janelle's boyfriend cleaned up the glass outside but it was Stacy's mom that cleaned up the inside with several different people. The cops said there was between 15-20 people in the house when they arrived. I've followed this case since 1992 because I was only a couple of years older than them and it was scaring the hell out of women that this could happen and not a trace of them have ever been found. 100000 isn't really a small town. Even most people in actual small towns are aware of crime. It's that when crime happens, we are more likely to know the victims. Even when I lived in a town of 1200 everyone I knew locked doors. I remember murders from the 90s when I was in town of 8000 andi. High School. Even then we weren't denial that it could happen in mostly rural area. We did have personal connections to the victims of their families.

I have been calling him my bestie bubby since my husband brought him home 13 years ago and he will raise his head and wag his tail , when he hears you say what he hears as , I imagine, is "I'm your bestie" and he lifts his head and just stares at you until he feels like you have received his message then puts his head on my shoulder and his feet in my lap for 5-7 minutes. Once he has reminded you and re-established his dominant bestie position , he lays down , rolls over and watches happily until he dozes off. It's ridiculously adorable. Ever thought about diving into the crimes of Danny Lugo and the Sun Gym Gang?? They’re what the movie Pain and Gain is based on, which painted these violent criminals as sympathetic characters through humor. So much more detail than what’s presented in the movie.

One thing I've never heard anyone say! At that time phone calls could be traced! Even though phones were landlines

Also “Star 69” (*69) was available BUT not in all areas and not well known … AND it cost 75¢, that would show up on the paper phone bill and your parents would yell at you and/or your friend’s parents would be pissed and not let your friend be friends with you. (TRUE STORY. 😂). Just giving you insight into late 80s/early 90s average US teen mindset. It was a totally different world from nowadays. ❤

I thought of this as well. Can't they look at records, like on a phone bill? To trace they have to be on the line.

Idk, something don’t feel right about Janell or how we you spell it. Coincidence that she got to sleep else where, she came and cleaned up SO MUCH evidence- I mean.. how obvious could you have been? It just doesn’t sit right about her.

Well, Jannell and her boyfriend, to me, would've been suspects from the start. Jannell was the last person to see the girls when they were alive. Then she's the first one to go to that house, and then destroy evidence

Yes. Who cleans another person's house under those circumstances? Especially when you have NO clue where they are! Way too many excuses in this case.😮

Annie, been watching you for a long time. Youre truly in your element and doing a fantastic job. When you said that someone called the house when those kids were there after cleaning the glass, my first tjought was that the killer must be close and probably saw them enter the house. 😢

I love the way you present the cases ❤ And girl you do such DEEP dives you need scuba gear 😅 Even cases i think i know about or know of you always go so deep onto the cases that I ALWAYS end up finding out so much more than I already did. And I really appreciate the extra backstory of the people involved as well. Its not just a news channel. You make it personal. I watch you every day.
