Not really, you use Uber as a way to get customers. Since October 2023 I’ve been using the app and haven’t taken 1 passenger. When I get there I flip the passengers. ( if they pay Uber $100, I’ll offer the same or a little less $90 on the low end.) I’m also legal to do so. I probably flip 80% of the rides and the ones that don’t want to I cancel and go to the next. Use Uber like Uber uses you . I just looked up the last 2 months I’ve flipped around 400 passengers. Oh and got the return trips and regular passengers FUCK UBER

But when a lot of drivers stop for a day or two, others continue to drive, taking advantage of the low number of drivers on the road. Whenever one to five drivers quit ride-sharing apps, ten more sign up. There's little chance of causing any damage to the apps. Additionally, airports and cities are with them because of the revenue they generate.
The solution is to join an app/platform that pays what it is fair to pay. Completely quit on them
Even the Roman Empire was demolished, Uber will not be any different.
It’s crazy how they disrespect the drivers, the backbone of the company. Without drivers you have nothing.

I stopped driving more than a year ago. NEVER FUCKING AGAIN. I will NEVER drive for UBER again in my LIFE
This is how I protest on every request, every day:
1.) Go online.
2.) Refuse 1st crappy offer, (usually every offer now).
3.) Give phone the finger.
4.) Go offline for 1/2 hour.
5.) REPEAT!
I get like 3 garbage offers in a row everyday and refuse everyone theb they publish me by sending no offers for like half hour
@@SlashSecyes that is what they are doing in my region they are doing this on purpose to make drivers accept the low offers which I refuse to do
I never see anything about them cutting back any of the 30,000+ employees or incentives to executives...Something tells me they are overpaid and underworked...Only working on ways to chisel the drivers more and more and more while keeping their jobs secure

I just received an email from Uber saying that a passenger complained about my driving maneuvering on a ride, and Uber didn't talk to me first, but went ahead and sent me an email and saying that if I continue to drive like this, that I would lose access to the app. I didn't do anything dangerous and they just believed the passenger and sent me the email. Does things like this happen to any other driver?? I am Chatting with Support and they are saying that if I didn't do anything wrong then ignore the email and that there is nothing negative on my account, but I don't appreciate that everything has to have a threat of deactivation to it. Does this happen to anyone else?
Stop driving for them and stop using them for rides. Game over.

It's also worth mentioning how terrible the UberEats offers are. Sometimes 30 cents a mile. Today for example I had a 6 dollar offer that was 15 miles! This is common to see in my market. It should be illegal.

I am really, really super sick and tired of Uber not having any forward-facing reps to answer specific questions, get tech support, or accept valuable feedback...Man did I hate making my way down to the hub and wait but issues did get resolved without having to try to explain to a bot...If the hub was still open, I would be down there so much to give feedback that I might get a reserved parking space
I just stopped ordering Uber eats, Uber rides and I will no longer deliver for them either. Time for Uber to learn the bud light lesson.

Drivers, just get a different source of income and leave these people behind. It's the same with cab drivers. I said the same thing to myself as a taxi driver a few years ago. There was and is also abuse and exploitation of cab drivers long before you guys started. But you guys were CLUELESS about that in your little lives. Now that you're drivers, you're learning that drivers are exploited. Well gee whiz. You've got one thing right Professor and that is that for now, until they get self driving cars right, there will be human drivers and human workers deserve a fair share of profits AND that workers who are underpaid, unhappy, abused and exploited do NOT give good service to the customers. Well not as good as well taken- care of workers. Drivers who are abused might still give fair service to passengers but they live in unhappiness and FEAR and that is never a good thing for society because we all effect each other and eventually everything is a spiritual issue. Not just an economic issue but a spiritual issue.

They say drivers make an average of $30 or so per hour. But that's because we have certain "Premier" rides that add up to about $100 per hour or more. Completely ignoring the fact that most drivers make $20 per hour or less. In reality, we'll never make $30 an hour, even before expenses..

I received a survey from Uber yesterday. It was asking questions like... What percentage do you think Uber is taking? How much of that do you think goes towards taxes? How much do you think goes towards commercial insurance? Etc.

Uber has a new trick to get drivers to accept. They underestimate pick up and trip time. I took a trip from Pasadena going to North Hollywood, where I live. Pick up time was estimated at about 10 minutes but I figured it was worth it because the trip was going about 15 miles at an estimated 25 minutes for 24 bucks. That's ok by me. But what I didn't know, and what the app didn't show, was that it was a pick up at the Rose Bowl and there was a concert that had just let out. On top of that the road the app routed was closed, so there was a huge traffic jam that the app didn't show. Not a single red line. So after driving to get there, I got stuck in the jam for an additional 15 minutes and the rider cancelled. I did not get a cancellation fee. They do the same thing with the Hollywood Bowl now. If you don't know the address you won't know that where you're going, and there's always a traffic jam when there's a show going on.
They are charging more on passageners and cutting drivers off. The new launch today is all about customers from Uber eats, shuttle, list, and nothing for drivers

Lyft, for all it's faults, seems to have rolled out the 70% deal to more areas (more than the original "participating locations").
If this does what it looks like it's going to do, cancelation rates on Uber should skyrocket, because lyft will invariably chime in with a better idea for the driver.
Eventually, sure, you can order an Uber, but who's gonna accept it?
I took off with a dispatcher yesterday, May 23 2024 as she got rude and disrespectful with me over the phone after going back-and-forth over the phone. I told her mark this date down and I hope I’m on recording that Uber hears this, they not going to make it very long in the business because there are a lot of independent driver platforms that are up-and-coming and it’s just a matter of time until Uber/Lyft/Doordash (and all the others that take advantage of us they will shut down and be out of business.
It looks like rideshare apps are moving the Wal-Mart effect out of small towns and into transportation links.
I’m just grateful I don’t rely on driving as my main source of income. I’ve already cut back drastically. Mainly cuz I finally got my own car and not driving to pay for my rental anymore.

I said a long long time ago that Uber through Travis was getting money from investors with the promise that there will be a huge return on investment once Uber went driverless. I think they underestimated how long that would take and then had to do SOMETHING to turn a profit for investors. Of course that something was to stop paying drivers anything. People just looked at me like I was from mars. Now here we are. This is a pseudo “driverless” financial model they are enacting right now.

I've been saying they're planning on autonomous cars, Uber is already doing autonomous cars for Uber Eats with Waymo in Phoenix. Uber is looking at the long game.
These people are out of their mind, they are paying poverty wages and the government does nothing. I advise drivers to not accept any passenger rides and only do Uber eats and delivery. We can do Lyft rides and hopefully Lyft will raise the rates.
I would love to see what the numbers are of all the part-time EV drivers that lost their 1 dollar per trip for not meeting the 200 rides in 30 days. I lost 148.00 bucks they took back. Is the trick to try and get us to stay out more hours it just me drive less hours. I make more driving senior citizens around in my development in 4 hours than Uber in a wee

I'm a new driver with Uber & i saw the 110 ride guarantee for $1040. The fine print says they will pay you the difference even if you don't make 110rides in 30days. I did 99 rides but they're saying they won't honor the guarantee because i didn't do the full 110rides. Is this a bait & switch?
No. You have to complete 110 rides. If your earnings are less than $1040 (for example $920) then they pay the difference to make it $1040, which is only $120
