This just saved my warrior build because man did I not want to play stampede. Armour Explosion nerf ruined me. 10/10 videos excited to see what stuff you make.
Completely relatable... WOolie updated it from stampede to bone shatter strike, but it's still not good. THis build looks like what we need though in the video.
I tried it and damn, this is even more broken than AE and I don't even have giants blood yet. AE could proc only once per enemy, so on already broken armor it wasn't that effective. But with this setup you can just continue to mace strike and every hit is a new explosion. I don't like the stampede playstyle, so until it gets nerfed again I'll experiment with this setup. Thanks Carnarius for sharing this, I love how creative people can get with this game and an early access is all about trying out stuff and find new broken things after all!
Did you get some god tier weapon? I cannot seem to get this to work. Granted I am like 8 or so levels lower at 82 or whatever. I picked up one of the cultist maces, that and other have elemental physical speed yet it’s like zdps for me basically.
@nedgo Nothing too crazy tho, around 500dps, no +level to melee and no fancy mods. I invested a lot in armor break and stun damage and also in aoe in the tree. My Mace Strike damage shows around 18k damage now.
Well this is the same reciprocating explosions that they just fixed/nerfed for "armour explosion" support. From the description it is only supposed to "splash" from the target of the strike but each target in the splash also triggers a splash. I'm 100% sure this is also an "unintended" feature so enjoy it while it lasts, sadly my mace does not have this implicit. Edit: not even the same, much stronger as it works off the "mace strike" damage which is much higher than simply base weapon damage.

Without superjuiced clusterjewels like poe 1 there is not enough aoe on the tree for full screen clears off a 1.8m radius (that is for pillar of the caged gods attribute stacker which ironically remains in the game in even more broken form than in poe 1 due to the existence of a certain pair of gloves)
@@Flakzor123 the orange pops are herald of ash. The single white pop is from the splash. I don't see more than one white circle. There's also plenty of times in the video where there are more mobs that aren't hit by the attack
@@esvban there won't be white circles if he is fire converting. Herald of ash only has a 1m radius from the "overkilled" target and it has no "hit" damage only burn so it can't proc itself further.

The broad impact of this change is that early increases to area of effect will be significant and impactful, while every subsequent point will be less and less noticeable. This weapon just has the splash build in in 1.8m radius, where as the support gem has 2m radius and you have to apply a heavy stun with the hit for it to trigger itself, which is kinda easy with the stun to break armour passive node. Now I'm only like 74 lvl and don't have so much AoE specced, and with those 2 support gems i'm oneclicking white packs like candy kinda like this. Just not by so extreme margins (at least not yet)
i swear this and armour explosion chain is the most fun way to play warrior without feeling clunky, sadly i already see how this will get nerfed, i really hope they dont warrior already feels so slow and clunky compared to other classes that have insane map clear
stampede with armour explosion, bigger aoe passive,momentum,stomping ground and devasted is fun af if u take 20% aftershock from ascendency and the aftershock node he showed in the vid then there are other nodes with increased area of attack and so on i'm clearing the whole screen like that and with all that aftershock % (i got 50% atm) its so fun
i mean if you get a really good cultist hammer it'll still be a good mace if this gets nerfed but its probably gonna be way more expensive than comparable alternatives b/c this is going on rn

there is nothing wrong here besides the splashes triggering splashes. The area of the weapon is called with AOE is intended because all spells and minion skills scale the same way. Titan just scales this a lot and the only thing not attended is that the aoe hit procs aoe hit. IT should be just 10% of the primary hit not secondary. That said you can scale aoe even higher when they fix it :D
Tried this on my normal weapon, did not work. And then i switched the weapon into an advanced cultist old goodie weapon of mine and it worked perfectly! Great idea probably to use as an offhand weapon, strike focused shield build? I noticed many of the strike skills goes very good along with shields Then after you've tanked with magma barrier and done a bit of aoe damage, you can switch weapon and start slam skilling on volcanic fissure
question on the molten build, there are fire pen nodes right next to the beginning tree that i took but i noticed you didn't. is there any reason we shouldnt take these they seem insane
Dang, I’ve been on this tip for a while. Had cultist mace strike on weapon one and all my other skills on a mace 15 levels higher that still cant keep up. Even specced swap speed.
I leveled my warrior with lightning arrow and rod for early levels, then took the close by fire node clusters and went gas arrow+firewall. I am going to test crossbow again later. I am trying to find another nice combo to use with armor explosion. If you buy the twink bow set ups they can be used on every character through both campaign difficultys.
Why is this a problem while theres a million bow builds shattering half the map with one shot? Either this stuff is here to stay or they destroy all clear speed related interactions (which I want tbh. The game is more fun when you actually have to play it.)
All these (The game is more fun when you actually have to play it) redditors have never done 40/40 challenges in a POE league before. Needing to press 6 buttons on a build gets old as shit after 200 hours. Feeling clunky does not necessarily mean you are, "actually playing the game" either.

The thing is bow builds are built like a glass cannon if you nerf the clear speed and damage then it just really has nothing going for it. It can't tank anything can't clear anything
@@SuperCatacata I've done 40/40 league at least once (usually 36 for some others) and I'd still like a compromise. Have at least a 2-3 button build where one is defensive, one is for single and then you have the clear button (that won't oneshot rares/uniques). PoE 1's problem exactly was the clearspeed in the end, that they actually compensated it by making the game more harder in the grind section. I'd rather have it other way around after playing poe since 2011 beta, where I don't have to constantly check for a counter about "maps per hour" to feel that the game respects my time. Half of the skills in poe1 feel useless when you always have to count in the "time to clear" aspect of the game. It gets boring after some point when you realize there is nothing more to experience over the cookie cutter builds in the end, or you won't reach the very late endgame.
Probably STR on almost every piece of gear. My tree travels pretty far, and I have like 225 str. I'd need maybe another 15 levels of just STR nodes, and then at last 4 pieces of gear with 20-25 STR nodes to be able to use Giants blood and a two handed mace. But yea, STR everywhere.
imma just cope as hard as i can and hope that Unscalable in this case means just for the item itself, like if in the future there is an orb that increases every stat on the weapon by 10% this area stat wouldn't get increased cause its UNSCALABLE but it doesn't mean that it cant be "scaled" with aoe passives from tree... my cope is over!

it doesn't look like its chaining. isn't he just scaling the strike splash radius? I only see one circle per attack. Seems intended to me.

How is his damage so high on mace strike? I have %75 of his weapon damage and yet sheet dps is 11k and his is 51k.
He also has nearly 7k hp. The gear he has is next level.

If you hold alt over that weapon its says 1.8 meters unscalable value
this seems bugged to me, as it should have been unscalable, will probably be fixed
