Dave Allen: Watches & Working to the Clock (Strong Language)

Dave Allen's final six-part series for the BBC in 1990 was a departure from his previous shows, which had featured a combination of his monologues and sketches. By way of contrast the final series only featured him in the studio doing stand-up routines, which featured his observations on life and its more absurd moments.
Despite the show being broadcast at 10 pm on a Saturday night, the inclusion of the F word at the end of this routine proved quite controversial at the time. It prompted complaints to the BBC, contrived "outrage" in some newspapers and a question about it was even raised in Parliament.
