Since you're already playing the 1 cost cogsworth for catching people off guard with rush, have you tried grandfather clock? Between 2 copies of alice, 2 copies of grand father clock, 1 ursula sea witch queen, and 3 copies of library I've found that I've had a much easier time dealing with Ruby / Sapphire and Steelsong decks. Alice provides protection to genie / elsa against targeted removal like brawl and medusa, whereas cogsworth provides protection against damage removal through steel songs. The combination of the 2 of them gives much more varied options to play vs Ruby, because the only removal they have that works is Be Prepared or Sisu, which you can just throw a whole bunch of characters in library the turn you expect either of those 2 to drop, drawing you a bunch of replacement cards, plus it makes 1 cost cogsworth relevant outside of just giving something rush, and if you find Ursula, the song decks can't sing for free. It's slightly worse vs pure aggro, but imo I'd rather have a 7/8 out of 10 matchups across the board than a 4/10 vs R/S and Steelsong with a 9/10 vs everything else considering how popular those 2 are.
I love the thought behind it! I have tested big Cog, in my experience it'a too slow since steelsong are much more aggressive this set. He also doesnt save me much since Zeus still takes out Genie, etc. Same reason I don't run big Ursula anymore when she gave me big ups last set. Will keep grinding to find the best list for myself tho! Then I'll share my thoughts with y'all 😁
Nice gameplay and loving the videos on this deck! Been wanting to bring it to upcoming set champs but a bit worried about this matchup in particular. In my testing you almost have to out-control them (somehow lol) with every Let It Go (both got inked)/Haydes/bounce Haydes over and over to all the big threats and then try and win with slow chip damage/big Elsa freeze/goat to push at the end… but I’m still learning it. Seems not the best for racing they ink so quick
I have been running this matchup repeatedly with my group and it feels a lot better now! I've changed the list a good deal since this game too but with a different approach it feels a lot better. Ur definitely right though repeated removal helps a lot!
Zero this is a prime example of why i hate hate hate R/S & R/P. It can do nothing for 5 turns but ink and then for the rest of the game have complete control unless they totally brick their hands. 😅
Keeping Merlin Fox or Snake in hand with Hades in play could be interesting as you would keep getting rid of your opponent’s biggest threats, don’t you think?
@ I’ve been trying to add a little rush or support to Blurple without losing too much draw. I like 4 drop Louie support to help throw rabbit at something plus the 4 body 2 lore on Louie is nice to but 4 spot is overloaded an extra 3 ink 2 lore character would be nice.
@@zerotheherolorcana yeah when they ramp out in blue red it's kinda just a luck game at that point. Makes me wanna play a more agro deck so I can at least lose quicker lol
Game 3. Singing friends with Genie on turn 4 was a bit of a misplay. Game ended with you at 15 lore with a goat in hand, you would of been at 17. Don't challenge the Hiram with fox, you probably would have won
Ehh very hard to say. It's def a tough decision between singing friends and questing with genie, I'd assume I sang friends because my hand was in a rough state. The 2 cards I drew were probably important to get to the 15 lore I did end up accumulating so I could have just ended up losing anyway. Also leaving Hiram up against Red/Blue can be a death sentence 😵 who knows tho, we live and learn!

Why urusula sea witch queen?

Haha that's how it goes 😂 just gotta hope we can win fast enough!

It's not bad and I've definitely done it before, a bit of an investment though and I just have to hope I still find more bounce cards that late haha
Question, how does everyone make the thumbnails? Is there a community folder of card backgrounds removed or?
I make them myself! Haha it's not too difficult to do it in photoshop or another similar program!
@@zerotheherolorcana I do too, just was wondering XD awesome thanks!
What kind of sleeves do you use?
Dragonshield Matte black sleeves!
which app are u using to count the lore ?
It's called the lotus app! It's used for MTG but can be used to count lore for Lorcana instead 😁
Do you find cogs being ink more than actually getting play?
Usually! But he is useful for very specific moments, like wanting to hit an early location hard with crab or for the surprise rush factor

@@Chicanoheat I've also been looking into rush support 👀 I took it in a different direction but I like the way you think!
BLURPLE 💜💙
🔵🟣 💪!!
Yeah blurple has a much more favorable matchup into Ruby/Am imo. Less removal.
Still a kinda tough match up for sure though! But at least we don't have to deal with all the dragons and crabs 😅
