In this new documentary on the writing and recording process of “4,” fans of Slash will get an intimate look at his ever-evolving journey as a guitarist and really see the electrifying synergy between Slash and Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators as they tell all on what it’s like being in a band together for over a decade. The documentary also offers an in-the-studio glimpse into the creative process behind the album “4,” as the band records live with the legendary producer Dave Cobb. They have all the elements: TWO guitars (one of them being riff master Slash), the greatest rock voice alive today, great backing vocals, and a tight drum and bass.

I like how a HUGE icon like Slash is open to others input. He could say "No. Look at the catalogue of legendary albums I've created & played on" but he has his bandmates put their stamp on it too!
Slash was in a band once where one member thought they were in charge and was disrespectful to the other members. He knows how it feels and isn’t interested in being that guy.

I think even from the start with Appetite, Slash has played for the song…his solos always seem to fit without it being constant runs of a thousand notes. I think it was an E. Trunk interview when 4 was released where Slash hinted at his name being dropped and going with just The Conspirators…mentioned how he viewed that as being just a band without him being named separately. I, for one, would definitely welcome him with just staying with Myles, Todd Dammit, Frank and Fitzy. Saw them on the 4 tour and it was just an awesome rock show.
@@Canadianwheelchairguitarabsolutely. He’s well aware that everyone in his band is very talented. Being a good band member means doing your part to bring out the best in the people around you. The music benefits from that cooperative and positive environment.
Slash is 90% of the reason why I started playing guitar. His songwriting has aged like fine wine! Hope he can still crank 'em out for another 20+ years!

Myles F’N Kennedy is such an awesome vocalist! Can’t get enough! Hard to believe he’s still sounding so great with that huge range of his into his 50’s! Been working non stop for the past 30 years straight! 💪

It's just a great BAND. Todd's voice enhances Myles's. Frank's guitar enhances Slash's. Brent and Todd are a kick-ass rhythm section. Great band

They all great players..they also messh together perfectly..Myles is one of current top singers and writes great lyrics.. Slash..what can I say..he is an icon and everything he touches is gold yet he is still amazingly humble

I remember seeing welcome to the jungle video debut on MTV in early 80s n hearing slash guitar n thinking who the fk is this guy! And to listen n watch him still making kickn music 40 fkn years later is just outstanding.

The intro riff of "Fill my world" ( 24:36 ) has "Sweet child..." vibes... That's my favorite riff of the record.
Right? At first I thought it might be the same riff but played backwards or something, because I know Slash sometimes does that - just take a riff he likes and reverse it. But I've played both and it doesn't seem to be the case. They just got the same vibe, as you said.
The solo of the song is also super nostalgic sounding
its in the structuring, arrangement, and just the general vibe they were going for, but yea, could definitely hear that as soon as the record starts
Fill My World is the Sweet Child for 2022. Shame it wasn’t a bigger hit, because it really is one of Slash’s best
@@ShesnothingbutwildVelvet Revolver has several songs on the album Contraband that had that carnival guitar vibe. But the Drums in this sound definitely have a sweet child o' mine vibe , plus the G riff.
Been to see SMKC every time they come close to Dallas. Awesome group of guys. Hung out with a couple of them after the show out by the tour bus… Really down to earth.

This is one of the GREATEST concerts I’ve ever seen!! They are incredible performers and top notch #1 most 1:29 humble bands.. I’ve had the most amazing times with Todd Kerns and his friends at Count’s Vamp’d Bar here in Vegas, for some absolutely wonderful music and even better musicians from all over the spectrum!! Todd is one hysterical man and tells the best stories!! Find out when done touring!! Meet us all there!!

I've always been a fan of his playing and pure rockin' blues style, but I wasn't yet blown away until I saw him live... then, you know... he's not just a rock blues player... there's a novel riff, one after the other... then another... until you're left there... jaw agape at his creative ingenuity... SLASH... the perfect name... he leaves you bleeding on the floor, wondering what just happened! 😮🔪🎸❣️🤘

Slash is outrageously good. I think it should also be noted that every player in the band is top notch. Slash is like the gatekeeper of rock and roll. Without his contributions rock music could have taken some ugly turns more than once. He saved us from glam rock and brought as back from grunge.
This is by far the best rock Album and really the best overall Album I've heard in years! For the first time in a long time it gives me hope that actual good NEW hard rock music isn't dead. Thank you to Miles, Slash and the guys for that! Been a fan since the 1st album and only grown more over the years.

Slash is the star, but I feel Todd is the secret sauce. An accomplished lead singer, songwriter, and his bass licks are always tasty.

Fun fact: Fill my world is avout Myles's dog who was alone during the storm and was lonely. Myles is so underrated, comes right from the heart
