The #chatgpt moment for robotics has arrived. #openai has partnered with Figure to power the next generation of robots and #tesla ( #tsla stock ) is building the Optimus Bot. But the biggest robotics companies in the world like Google ( GOOG stock ) and #nvidia ( #nvda stock ) are building foundational generative AI models and AI chips that could go into every robot on the planet without building their own. That means the best stocks to buy now for AI and robotics might not sell a single robot!

Are there currently companies listed on the stock exchange that produce humanoid robots? Please don't come with Alphabet or Tesla...
You have little clue of what happens next or why. Your just promoting your channel with clickbait and sensationalism. UA-cam tolerates lies since you support their greed and your own.
Hey Alex, when are you going to cover Boston Dynamics new electric Atlas, Spot and Strech? Also Hyundai, because it owns Boston Dynamics. I saw you cover robots but no specific attention to Hyundai and Boston Dynamics.
@@usuario8245
You just answered a long suspected curiosity of mine about Boston Dynamics. Which was 1.) Who owns Boston Dynamics and 2.). Why in thirty years have they accomplished almost nothing.
Hyundai. That is the logical answer otherwise known as status quo purposes to various industries, lack of progress on multiple levels.
Your comment about Tesla FSD being level 2 and insinuating Mercedes Level 3 being superior. Either that was an ignorant comment or you are trolling… Tesla FSD is formally level 2, but its capabilities are way beyond, more like around level 4 today… as they are aiming for lvl 5…
Tesla is leading the training data race for full self driving purpose.
Tesla is formally level 2.
Mercedes is formally level 3.
That's all I was pointing out. The rest you filled in, not me.
@@TickerSymbolYOU Okay, cool, the point is just, that Mercedes level 3 classification is basically useless as it is only approved at very low speeds and niche situations. So it is more of a marketing stunt than anything. Furthermore it is not using any forms of advanced AI, just semantics like yester year’s computer games 😉…
If Tesla would be bothered about having the highest classification, then they would be live with level 4 long time ago in some amputated form like the Merc lvl 3. Tesla is far ahead of anyone in the car industry with the FSD Beta, with the latest update where the car is being controlled by the help of end to end neural nets based AI, continuously being trained via fresh video footage…
FSD is not level 4 yet. Though it seems obvious they're leapfrogging L3
FSD is NOT level 4, that is delusional. It is at best level 3 and that is still kind of a stretch. It still makes a ton of dumb mistakes that require intervention, even at V12.
Tesla is nowhere near L3 or even L2 properly. Disengagement is so frequent on a tesla
Mercedes being level 3 is very misleading. It’s so limited in situations that you can look away from the road, Tesla FSD is way more capable in pretty much every other situation. Mercedes self drive doesn’t make turns, stop at stop signs, or any other of the complicated situations FSD can handle well especially after v12
You’re destroying his love for Nvidia😢 be nice pls
But. ..you can look away from the road! Thats a capability that Tesla FSD (which I have on 2 cars) needs to HAVE to make it worth the ridiculous price ($12k) Tesla wants for it. And Tesla is leaning away from that capability by now calling it "Supervised Self Driving". Mercedes puts much better sensors on their cars so that the driver can look away
@@Saxafruge Under the conditions required for Mercedes L3, you can definitely look away from the road in your Tesla (though it won't let you) The basic auto pilot is as good as, if not better than Mercedes L3.
@@romaniuc.n I love nvidia, but you can’t ignore these things.

Deep dive into NVDA vs TSLA needed. Specific question. Can simulations etc (NVDA ) replace massive camera data (TSLA) for training FSD?
Symbiotic? Who powers their robots?
Yes it can. And better tbh.
Will robots get to wear leather jackets
no sure if this refers to Jensen or Arnold, both are awesome though
Mercedes benz autonomy is 15 years behind tesla. You don't know what you are talking about.
but but but ... level 3 vs level 2 ! "You can't argue the facts" ! //s
Yes, his take on this discussion is totally uninformed or intentionally misleading.
Hi Sir, the Nvidia Blackwell is a 700 watt datacenter chip, its way too power hungry for a humanoid robot
Alex didn't actually say outright which company intentionally to let us make our on inferences and rightly so. My take from what he is saying is NVDA and TSLA.
NVDA because they have the simulation ISAAC real world physics enabled model which will train models lightning fast compared to real world training. Intel and AMD and others still don't have that and it's a high bar for competitors to cross. Also, NVDA claims that with Mercedes they are already Level 3 (I think jury is open on that). TSLA is because it has shown the new FSD Generative AI based v12 is much better than the old rules based model in v11. It wont take them too long for them to be at Level 3 (my guess within 1 yr,) and after that, my guess is, to Level 4 within 5 yrs. Even if other companies have equivalent FSD models by then, they don't have economies of scale on a low cost EV car to house the FSD in for consumer use.
Elon has a history of talking long before achieving sadly.
True. But I was looking solely at FSD v12 trial users' feedback.
@GlobalMan-nr3hq Yeah not aware sorry. Just seen too much talking with Elon and not usually success at the rates he wants people to believe. But he's made a lot of money either way.
Agree. Elon had to eat crow and quietly reverse course and use generative AI from FSD V12 onwards. The move basically tells everyone that the previous method was not going anywhere regardless of his previous claims about how close FSD was. The plus for TSLA is that they have gobs of data to train the new model. I think we will need to assess TSLA on its merits and not on Elon anymore.
"Elon Time", yes. But he does deliver big compared to his industry peers. Auto market has changed because of Tesla more in 10 years than in the last 30. Same with rocketry.
Gigacasting. Superbottle. 48v architecture. Introduction of Ethernet. Steer by wire. Vehicles designed for Parallel assembly lines. Concentration of multiple explicit controllers into a single, consolidation of multiple controllers into a fraction of the count, Glass roofs that can acheive L5 safety and block both UV and IR. More efficient Battery geometries and dry electrode that can be produced en masse (still in the early stages). True exoskeleton (non monocoque).
Then there's the bit about reusing rockets and building a giant ship that brings space tech beyond "exploration" phase where it had been stuck since the 1960s into "exploitation" where we can now see how to build a Useful moon base to begin colonization of the moon such that uncounted billions won't have to be expended as it becomes self sustaining in the next 50 years with an eye to generating profit and real growth... an actual path to get there.
Only once delivered on time frame or anywhere near it (Model Y), but he delivers Big.

Mercedes level 3 autonomy isn't even close to Tesla's 'level 2'
Yes, that was the glaring error in this video.
Not an error. One is classified as level 3, the other as level 2. We can argue about their performance but you can't argue the facts.
@@TickerSymbolYOU I should have said "flawed thinking". If Tesla reduced its self driving parameters to that of Mercedes, its level would easily be 3 or higher. Clearly comparing Tesla's and Mercedes' self driving capabilities is like comparing apples with oranges. Giving Mercedes a level 3 classification for its multitudes of conditions is silly. Tesla doesn't have any conditions that I am aware of.
Okay but Tesla also isn't Level 3 (yet)
@@TickerSymbolYOU based on last week's news, musk is about to reclassify it to level five
Tesla had it's chatgpt moment. Fsd v12.
And it was met with *crickets* from the investment community, because it really doesnt change anything. So FSD actually kindof works now, but its still $12k
It's interesting to compare ai fsd vs rules based version. There's no grace for hallucinations while driving. everyone says new ai fsd is better. So tesla fsd demonstrates that reliable llm in mission critical applications is possible.
FSD isnt an LLM (Large Language Model), but the sucess of OpenAI's strategy showed that Tesla was "doing it wrong". So Tesla made drastic changes to how they train FSD. I still think Teslas have an inadequate sensor array and should have Lidar and/or Radar. Why Tesla took so long to put a camera in the front bumper mystifies me. They FINALLY fixed that issue with the Cybertruck. Honestly i think Tesla would be better off without Elon.
@@DN-mo9sh
Only problem is that Elons is incapable of PR & Marketing.
So nobody will find out & regulators can close them down without any problem.
Worst Brand management of all time.
A friend has been testing out FSD v12 said it isn't very good. It requires a lot of interventions, is annoying for other drivers, and makes a lot of dumb mistakes. He said he'd be pissed if he had spent $12K on it. It's definitely not at it's ChatGPT moment. If it was, it would be getting a ton of publicity for it and it wouldn't require interventions for most driving, aka level 4.
Now that’s a lot of bots 🤖 😂!
One thing I would say about Nvidia is that its operating margins are so vast. There must be room for some other well positioned companies to try to carve out some of this share in certain ways. Of course it will be at the expense of reliability or excellence or something. But it’s still worth mentioning. Just a thought.
Exciting times ahead.
It's going to be a wild ride 🤯
I love AI. Like us, at first it starts, learns and improves. But then, unlike us, it does not deteriorate, forget and die. It just improves. Every day. Forever.

I would also add simulations ( currently dominated by Nvidia ).
Simulations solve the biggest AI issue for robotics, data.
Love your channel! Super informative and well made videos!
Thanks so much!
I personally don't need a full self driving car. But a car which could - slowly but fully autonomously - drive to my house so that I could take it over would be of huge use for me and any Carsharing company.
The problem with Tesla at the moment is that the front axles have a habit of breaking, the insurance is very high because the cost of damaged battery packs is very high and the customer service in the UK (see Trustpilot) is very poor. Hence the stock price is tanking. So although all this new technology is exciting Tesla need to get the basics right first. The new Nvidia Blackwell platform looks exciting though.

Boston looks impressive because it is SCRIPTED to be impressive. Their Robots are agile, tactile and athletic but not dynamic or experiencing any world outside a set group of parameters. I think they could benefit from a "Digital Twin" capable of bringing them to autonomy; that said they probably have their lane (which is bit too easy to disrupt).

I'll add Tesla vs Nvidia to the list! Amazon Robotics used to be a company called Kiva Systems. I used to live pretty close to their HQ!
OK I get it, you're really 'pumped' for Nvidia - but how can you just dismiss Tesla's data advantage? In AI training - data is King. Nobody has close to the amount of real world training data that Tesla have... and the more compute they can stack up, the more they can use the data they already have. That's why their advances will come faster and sooner imo... for cars at least. Whether that then translates into humanoid bots is another matter. A car navigates a 2D world mostly - left/right/forwards/backwards - a bot has up and down to deal with.
Tesla is a car company. Way overpriced. 80% of it's income is from selling cars. How many cars do u think they can sell
Tesla is vertically integrated and they have already proven their ability to manufacture at scale and with great efficiency. This is why Tesla is able to undersell all other EV manufacturers and still make money while all the others are losing money. Tesla also has the money to rapidly scale. I'm not saying that Tesla is going to be the only humanoid robot company but I do believe they will dominate.
The Sharemarket is about emotion.

And the most important thing: Nvidia has chosen Blackwell Architecture to be used in their automation chips, this means that AMd and intel cant compete with Nvidia when it comes to Robotics. No matter what robotics company will be the leader in human robotics, one thing is for sure, The biggest winner will be nvidia, they will make huge profits. In Nvidias conference there was so many robots on the stage, so it seems that maybe there will success for a lot of companies concerning the rival in the robots markets. So they will split the money. Robots will run on 5g and wifi. There will be a powerful computer nearby controlling the tesla bots.
The opportunity is so large, I don't think any of the players will have to worry about missing out. It is more of who will take the biggest piece of the pie. Looking at that, Tesla is the one that ticks the most boxes and of course being an idividual that only has access to public markets it's Tesla or Nvidia. Maybe Microsoft. For me personally Tesla ticks the most boxes for their manufacturing and execution chops. Not to mention their already demonstrated AI on the road which is now accelerating at exponential pace. They have the ability to immediately apply Optimus in their own manufacturing process with single minded objectives and execution rather than being pulled in a hundred directions by differing goals of an Nvidia partner model. Got the popcorn and shares all ready.
The three laws of robotics should apply until we grow wise enough to apply the 11th commandment. 11. thou shalt not create machines in the image of the mind of man.
Just imagine the possibilities if robots were directly connected to your brain through Tesla's Neuralink! Picture this: a robot could navigate, converse (using your voice), and explore Paris while you're comfortably seated in your living room in New York. You could even remotely control your parents' robot and engage in conversation with them as if you were right there in their living room. It's not hard to envision a future in 2035 where humanoid robots outnumber humans, each one assisting individuals with their daily tasks without replacing them.
