I invested in shares of the StartEngine platform a couple of years ago. Their growth includes a small %-age of the companies who crowdfund with them.
I was just asking them how can I purchase more shares. 📈⭐️💫
This particular stock gets nearly totally ignored on CNBC. 2/22/24’s FAST MONEY and MAD MONEY mentioned Nvidia several million times…the Mad guy even suggested he single handedly discovered NVDA when everyone else in the world was criticizing him! I bet there has been a time that Mad Money said “don’t buy”…opinions change with the wind direction. Anyway, I counted how many mentions of SUPER MICRO on the 2 shows. ONE…in passing. The channel has evolved or devolved into a running ad for certain stocks. I own Salesforce, a wonder stock with a wonder CEO and wonder everything. But did it warrant being mentioned in a past show 13 separate times?

Deep dive is great, can't be deep enough to understand a company.
As an Sw Engineer, I say It's a server rack company.. So it growth is limited and there can be much competition to replace them. Max margin of 8%... which is very little... Less innovation is needed and it depends on NVDA, not the other way around. It can never replace NVDA
Why is Nvidia working directly with them and not the competition ? Serious question.
As a HW Engineer in the 90s, Supermicro was the premium rack business. Sounds like it still is.

@@groundhabit6408 NVIDIA will simply outinvest in the same stuff and do it in house once demand actually skyrockets for industrial chips or AI
Same here. This is a budget server company. They are definitely having business, but it is mainly riding on the AI hype. They have a good business model though.

@ lukeangell - ALTHOUGH the market isn't so stable, it isn't as bad as people think. With the right techniques & knowledge, one can easily make so much profit from the market in a day, go do your own research.... In all honesty, as a starter who knows next to nothing, I am about +65k up just in a couple of months... I'm a pensioner, and I am using these extra resources to help pay for odds and ends that I want.

@ bertjames - NO I don't. Spreadsheet has always seemed stressful, and of no relevance to me.. For my top holdings, I copy Kelly Marie Matwick's positions automatically in real-time. Look her up, she's good.

Exactly what I thought. When I saw SMCI I wanted to put all the money I had in NVIDIA into it. But then I remebered not to be gritty. And today I am so happy I didn't do it because some days later we saw those REALLY bad -22% and -15% days, I would've lost so much jesus. So yeah, in my opinion it is very risky to invest in this company. To me it is a huge bubble waiting to collapse like it just did couple of days ago

I love these kind of stocks because its the type of stock that retail absolutely hates. There is no moat, there is no IP, and none of this actually matters. The only thing that matters is if NVDA/AMD chooses SMCI for their data centers. Business relationships matter. This is a pure momentum play/proxy for NVDA/AI. If you really think NVDA can run to 4-5T dollars, then SMCI can easily 5x (at minimum) even from these levels.

Investing in alternative income streams that are independent of the government should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. Stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.
Hearing from someone who has experienced all of the hard times and overcome them is always beneficial to me as a new investor. Seeing your portfolio turn red after investing in quality names can be unsettling, but as previously mentioned, you should stick with your plan and keep adding to your holdings.
It took me 3 years to stop trying to predict what's about to happen in the market based on charts studying because you never know. Please, i need the help of your Investment advisor.

Hi, i think it would be cool to have a list of potential companies that operate in the same field. I'm not a huge fan of analyzing every company and i don't watch the news everyday. A quick list of the concurrents of the company you present would help to see the bigger picture. Just like when you want to buy a computer you're gonna first think microsoft and then what are the other options? probably Mac and Linux. Just with that i can they take a quick look at the three of them to decide which one i'd prefer.
Charles and Jensen have worked together for over 20 years. And both are over achievers. I have SMCI since early January and believe in the business model. It’s their time for sure!

Wish I had bought their stocks way back. I fondly remember my dual pentium pro desktop built with their motherboard. Always liked their products but never looked into it further.
Seems I missed, I will try to take some position when pull back.
Supermicro does have strong growth potential but I think it’s PE ratio is still too high and the stock price is getting ahead of itself, great stock to day trade because of its volatility but not a great time to invest unless it is in correction

A few months ago on this channel I suggested others add SMCI to their portfolios. I hope everyone bought some shares. I added them at 65, bought more around the $400 price point. My cost basis is $264. I believe it has a long runway. Happy to see a video on SMCI.

What SMCI provides is pure commodity with no barriers of entry and crap margin. I am sure one can trade in and out of it to make money. The downside is tremendous.
It's even worse than Sun Microsystems back in the last boom. And at least they had some good proprietary software behind their machines

In an expanding market, a unique product, as you put it, should not be cutting GMs to grow revenue. By definition, if they have to do that there is nothing unique about it. Just call it for what it is, a commodity meme stocks thats gone up 10x. PS it would be great if you could do a video on how bullish comments and views have trended on your channel over the last 4 years.

Thanks for the video but compare SMCI to TSM is not appropriate. SMCI is a system integrator with advantage of offices close to customers and component manufacturers. It may continue to grow but the moat is not deep.

I wonder if it's still a good buy now at nearly $1200 a share? I know he touches on it at the end but a price is never mentioned. I feel like there could be a pullback since up it's up over 300% in the last month but it's just going higher somehow.
