Back on the X-men timeline with New mutants this movie has a lot of people undecided I see people who like it and people who hate it I personally enjoy this film and what I has to offer giving us a story that gets away from the X-men to focus on a girl Dani and other mutants who have had bad experiences with the X gene coming to fruition killing loved ones by accident a lady Dr Reyes has them in an asylum like place trapped and through the movie you learn that Dani has power to make fears and trauma come true other things causing the others to go through different things in the end Dr Reyes is told to kill Dani but she is saved at the end she has to face her fears to save everyone
Again I like this movie it being a story in the timeline away from the X-men or that surrounding circle

The blonde Russian is Illyana Rasputin known as Magik. She’s extremely powerful mutant & Queen of Limbo. From what I know she’s the next or the new Sorcerer Supreme in the comics.

That's who i thought it was but never knew of magik until Marvel midnight suns came out and in the game she was a xmen with wolverine i have my top favorites in that game are magik and nico

From the story of the new mutants Reyes is working for sinister. Which is the vision she sees of Essex corp. not from Logan from what I know but this is a good take too bc I’ve never heard this one, I know a little bit about the Essex corp but the new mutants Villian is supposed to sinister for what he does by cloning the mutant gene

I like this movie it's not great not a fan of the writing ,can't fault the actors they did the best with what they were given.Loved lllyana and it was nice to see Maise Williams aka rhayne (wolfsbane ) as she called in the comics again I loved Maise in game of thrones she played arya stark such a badass

Can't do more harm than Fox did. At least Marvel knows to use the comics as a reference and they only usually waste villains. Fox on the other hand just made up whatever they wanted. If you aren't Wolverine, Magneto, Xavier, or Mystique then you have no importance in any of the movies. Even, this last New Mutants movie fails completely at characterization, how powers work, how to put together a narrative, what the Demon Bear is, etc.
I love this movie so very much and I liked the dark tones it took. Illyana is known as Magik she basically has the soul sword and special armor but she is also the sorcerer supreme of her realm known as Limbo and was tought by Doctor Strange how to control her magic. She is Colossus's sister, the one who can turn his body into metal when attacked and her past is a dark one...the smlie men attacking them represent the 18 men she killed when she was forced into human trafficking as a child...they were those who tormented her all those years and so she still fears them. Dani has the power to see memories of peopple whenunder stress and she can make their worst fears or regrets come to life and that is what was basically happening in the movie...their fears became real and attacked them and the demon bear was her own fear coming to huant her as well.

The X-Men never relied on nostalgia
Because 3 different introductions to Wolverine isn't nostalgia? While I don't really even like the Avengers and have had serious problems with the MCU, the X-Men films are bad. From a person who grew up reading X-Men comics before the animated series debued they are downright atrocious and Fox never understood what they had.
they are normal people, also they save the day and don't expect parades and praises.
This is nah movie...people say that all X-man movies and logan movies are bad but this is the worst THO(my opinion) and NO X-man movies are very good/great and all that movies are underrated!
Logan is a masterpiece, best super hero movie ever. also they try to escape the current beaten to death formula. also Ultron was really bad, with their fake Quicksilver.
