@Antares X I can hear wind moving over the car more than the actual car. As for the future, with new technology like Mazda's HCCI SkyActive-X engine, it looks like the internal combustion engine is here to stay.
@Antares X F1 shouldn't be about saving the environment. Yes we can find ways to limit the impact but whats the point in ruining it and make it boring with v6 turbos. Also some people like Formula e and some don't thats up to you but it will never replace the true feeling of a ICE

what are you talking about, some roadcars are faster than formula e cars, mclaren senna, koenigsegg jesko, regera, aston martin valykrie, formula e cars are electric supercars, so anyone can driver them. Its not a formula 1 car

they're cool cars but imo the racing is pre boring. when they get heaps faster like f1 i will start watching more. but tbh nothing will beat f1 the speed the noise like come on if you really think FE is better your not a car enthusiast.
Imeth Don no, have watched a race? there're uselessly more exiting then f1 race's, and in my opinion it's not how fast there going but how much action there is.
vegguid nar bro first of all f1 sounds so much better, and theres much more at play. The fact that trying to catch a slipstream and get your engine heated up from dirty air is one amazing example. The engineering and just overall science at play in f1 is so much better than fe. but i will be honest fe is kinda cool thats what i said in my first comment, however still nowhere near as cool as f1.

Anyone here after Abt lost his drive with Audi?
I took my lad to Donnington park when formula e was testing (pre their first ever race) . Watched a load of laps, then got into the paddock.
I was amazed at the sound of the cars. As well as the motor squeal, the sound of the tyres, locking up and oversteer, you could hear. plus the breaks and the mechanicals clicking and clanking.
A Very different set of noises than F1, but just as interesting, if not more so. I was very impressed.

i know its cool, tough and edgy to be assholes to eachother but my god is it awesome to see people being good to eachother. may good prevail, its just better all around.
I'm so happy that Matt has such a wonderful friend as Alistair who has made it possible for him.
I know ICE purists will hate me, but I really love the sound of these cars. They sound like something futuristic. I haven't driven an EV yet, but have tested some E motorbikes and the feeling is amazing. Don't miss the engine noise at all!

Now that Matt has had the chance to drive a F1 car as well as a Formula E car (Which even not many pro drivers get to experience) . I'd really love to see a video describing the in-depth difference and feel of the both and lastly, which was the better of the two.
