TF2 Unusual Phosphorus Combos

- Everybody loves green effects, and Phosphorus is a digital green! It doesn't show too well in screenshots but it actually is quite nice. It's a nice shade of green, it leaves a pixelated trail behind, and it's quite active on your head in both pixels and some green lines. It may not be popular for some unjust reason there are some fine combos to make. Personally, I simply love the pixel look of these robo-effects! Reminds me of ye old 8-bit era.
While I've already made a video of both Phosphorus and Sulphorus together, I might as well make videos by themselves to show of the simpler combos. Plus it was requested, and since I already own this hat it was easy to make a video for it! Once I felt like getting around to it of course.

This, Anti-Freeze, and Kill-a-Watt are my favorite unusual effects. Though I would really love to have a triple-unusual combo with Phosphorous, Anti-Freeze, and Scorching Flames, the best triple effect in the game.
+Bishop Alexander So much green! The only problem I can see with that is Phosphorus can get kind of lost in Scorching and adding Antifreeze would probably cover it all up. Luckily there's lots of green effects to choose from!

Great video as always. I was very interested in the combo with Searing Plasma as i thought it would be similar to the Vivid Plasma / Sulphurous combo, but I was let down, the two effects didn't mix well together imo. Smoking looked surprisingly good though and AF looked amazing, too!

7inline Thanks! Yeah, it's a shame that Searing and Purple Energy look rather ugly. That weird purple/green hue of Searing is quite odd. Scorching covers up most of Phosphorus, but Antifreeze is thin enough to let it poke out. While normally a combo with steaming is nice because it gives it a big blur effect, it's smoking that takes the cake here. Maybe because Phosphorus is so bright? And speaking of bright it looks like Vivid and once again Sunbeams are our best effect winners. I really need to get a Sunbeams misc some day!
And yes, the goofy little parts in the beginning and end are still my favorite things to make. Almost the whole reason I make these videos, heh.
Phosphorus is nice efect
zleid vín Indeed. One of the problems with phosphorus and sulphorus is that they don't look very good in still images. You need to see them in action or, at the very least, animated to really get a feel of how nice they really look. The giant pixels, the trail it leaves behind, and the unique looking hues they make are quite nice.

I noticed Phosphorus is a lower resolution Green Energy.
You have the two Bloke's with the Glitched Antifreeze and Roboactive?

On one hand it's neat that both of my blokes have the rare glitch effect ... but on the other hand it makes all the combo videos awkward when it's always upside down, heh
cartoons4pltaco I actually got very confused when I first saw some unusual effect showcases, I thought these two always are that way. SFM apparently displayed them in their glitched form back in the day
Looks nice, any chance of a time warp or sulphorous showcase sometime? Mostly because I've always wanted to see those together :3

TorchbaneLP There will be a Sulphorous for sure in the future, probably the next video in face as I built a Phosphorus+Sulphorus misc combo months ago. Probably won't be for a bit as I'll be busy for the next week or two, but it'll be made someday. I already set it up this video to have a link to it in the future, so I really need to make it now, heh. And yes, Time Warp will be in it too.
As for a Time Warp misc, that falls into my "maybe if I ever get a hold of one" category of effects. There's still a few I absolutely have to try to get someday, it can just be very expensive to do so. I suppose I could try the SFM way ... but where's the fun in that?
I enjoy finding great tracks, and the FFTA music "Painful Battle" at the end has been stuck in my head all these years later. Such a great song!
My dream is to have a decent hat with Phosphorus... at the insanely best, a Hong Kong Cone or Infernal Impaler.
+Kapanyo Luckily it's a mid tier hat because, while rare, it's not one of the more popular effects. Not sure why. I love those big giant green pixels!

hirsch538 Thanks! I would love to do either one, especially antifreeze. The green effects tend to have the same shade so they mix quite well. As with all my videos I would first need an antifreeze sniper misc, and they tend to be expensive. But if I ever come by one, I'll be sure to make a video for it!

+Lamar Littleton Oh, depends on the hat of course. This and Sulphorus are right in the middle of the effects tier, won't be cheap but also won't make you go as broke as quickly. I really like both as I enjoy giant pixels.

It is indeed and it's one of my extra special ones. It was the final Blokes for my collection (not counting ones that didn't exist) and the robo-effect that took the longest to get unboxed let alone find. So enjoy your green pixel fishing hat knowing it was one of the hardest ones for me to get back in the day XD

I really like phosphorus, mostly because my first jump in trading was when my phosphorus bot dogger became all class, but it's a clean effect, and I sometimes think of it as a pixelated scorching :3

No clue I'm afraid. I've heard you can add effects in SFM but it takes a bit of work. There's a website called loadout dot tf where you can try on all the cosmetics and it sort of does unusual effects too.
Can you do one for the fettis :D
Alvin and the chipmunks If I ever end up with one to use for a video. It's not one I'm actively seeking though because it's not one of my favorite effects. It does have a lot of fans though, and I will admit it goes well with cloud effects because it looks like they're raining confetti.

cloaks Morning Glory and Death at Dusk can make some beautiful combinations when you get certain effects to match up with the bright sun part on top.

It's really a rather boring answer, actually. I've been building up my backpack collection slowly for over three years. All it takes is to save some money every month once all the bills and such are paid. Being a boring adult with not much else to spend your money on can get one so many hats!

I enjoy punching babies. I suppose that is true as the GE veil I bought recently put me into the top 100. Some people spend time and effort trading up and up without ever sinking a penny into the game. Me? I just throw money at the hats I have to have. It's much easier that way, heh.
