One tip for those in lesser powered planes taking off on the East/West routes. If you want to cross high but are unable to get up to altitude before you hit the shore, you can request (and will most likely be given) a climbing 360 in the pattern to get up to 2200' before you go over the cold cold water.
Awesome video! Done all my training out in the bush, have stayed away from anchorage minus my few tower controlled landings at M erril. Very Helpful video!
Please do not tell people to do "whatever they want" once they pass the Tudor/Muldoon Curve. We see aircraft do many unaware/unsafe things. In addition to the North/South flow that area includes JBER airspace and the Stuckagain/Hillside Communities. Please Be Safe and Considerate.
Easy Button! No seriously, it would have been so much simpler watching this before the first time I went into lake hood. Course I was a student then and got the extra help by adding student in my call up. ;-p they were so helpful! Great video!

Will "always" be given. LHD won't deny a climbing right 360 for altitude. Like you said, that's some cold, cold water.

All I can say is, boy things sure have changed since the late 60’s when I lived in Anchorage and was in and out of MRI on a daily basis.
