The front suspension is just like on a 1909-2013 Morgan !
Thankyou!!!
So Doc Brown is making hot rods now?
yeah , he's come up with some interesting stuff.
hahahaha
morgan sliding pillar suspension circa 1920's
This is pre twenties tech.
@@tracylemme1375 This is cited as a '32 (deuce coupe); which I am led to believe is after the 'twenties'. Just a thought ...
I didnt even like hot rods..till now.!!RESPECT... thats some proper engineering right there..!!
Larry Holt.... in person.... doing a walk around... he made my day!!🎩🇺🇸🎩🇺🇸🎩
Wow, that suspension is some freaky voodoo!
out side the box
i love the concept !
great system
WOW x4
very cool thanks for sharing
very innovative idea and certainly makes for easy access to adjustments. A few of you are complaining about the new technology on an older car, its not about the rod itself but just an easier way to showcase the suspension.
Seen these in person on a tour of multimatic. Fantastic almost mind blowing stuff.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Fantastic work guys keep it up
Totally Awesome Engineering!!!! Thanks for sharing. Great video!!!!
The technology of this car is truly impressive but the color choice and way it was finished makes this one of the most beautiful '32 Fords we've ever seen, and we've seen a LOT of these. Haven't wanted a '32 Ford until we've seen this one.
Beautiful job made with Love and Professionnal hand
I love the innovation, yet keeping the classic '32 look. Being a BMW motorcycle rider as well as a hot rodder, I see a marriage of a similar BMW motorcycle suspension...hidden very well ...must be a blast to drive! Great work!
Ingenious suspension system so simple and brilliant
Ohh I'm so jealous on this work. This is such a cool job beind gone here!
The front suspension is beautiful. It's really cool to see such a different take on a classic Hotrod. :D
super impressive! love what you guys are doing! keep it up! i would love to see real time suspension travel on the damper/spring assembly though. very inventive!
Over engineering is at the heart of true hot rodding. Hot rodders push limits and go outside the box with creativity and ingenuity. While you may like the classic idealized hot rod, in 50 years this will be a traditional hot rod and in-wheel suspension will seem archaic.
yea the music is great just like that hot rod, mixing both new and classy old school i like it
Beautiful '32 Ford!
I've always loved these cars and how versatile they are when it comes to customization!
You can build them bone stock, go American Graffiti style like Milner's yellow '32, or a Pro-Street drag car, or go all modern high-tech like this one and make into a Pro-Touring type of track car that you can drive on the street all day long and then take it to the track and race it and then drive it home that night!
Very nice workmanship and engineering! I love it... pure awesomeness! =D
thats really cool. love the old fords
Ingenious suspension!
This is a great build. I really love how the suspension works in this one. Not so much as a Hot Rod as it is a Mod-Rod. (Modern Hot Rod) Chip Foose would be proud.
shot for the heads up!!! i checked it out and the cars there are awesome!
im impressed by this type of suspension system using hydraulic fluid very nice stuff
Damn, that suspension is neat!
Brilliant suspension! It's a lot like the old Morgan Three wheeler front suspension, except far more advanced with the hydraulics. Very cool!
Grarder Oh good point!
mind boggling to say the least, and on one of my favorite vehicles. as i watched and listened the concept reminded me of the 50s era Citroën DS , hydraulic fluid was contained and pumped through the tubing chassis and operated the suspension system, the power steering and brakes.
that's a beautiful car , just astounding how far car technology has come in the past few years
An all metal Blown 572 32 Ford is I think the picture of the all time Hot Rod.
Milner in American Graffiti is iconic. I love the 1932 Hot Rod!
Awsome inovation! And well discribed....
Its always been my belief that most of the cool things that we had in the 60's & 70's came from innovations and creations that came from the hot rod scene, beautiful car by the way
I love the idea of having the suspension movement all within the wheel.
Got to love it Built in Canada
Damn that front suspension is awesome
I once drew a similar design for the front and rear suspension of a ground effects F1 car, similar to a lotus 78/79. But I had slim upper and lower arms extending to the wheel to create a clean opening for air passage.
I appreciate his efforts but prefer the look of conventional suspension for a hot rod. Either single I beam with radius rods or independent with coil over shocks.
I love the suspension technology.
Beautiful engineering right there.
I know this has been around for a bit, but Multimatic is so freaking cool!
Beautiful!!!
nice to see Ford motor in a Ford car
+Logik426 Amen brother. I'm sick of seeing LS's in EEEEEVERYTHING, they're getting boring, practically lego's for the car world.
I'd take a FORD 5.0L Coyote 302 Crate Engine over an LS7 any day.

That is so clean . Get it on Lenno's Garage !
Love the music at the beginning, wish i knew what it was.
for those who have queried the song it is ProleteR - April Showers
i like the song, nice 32 too
Simply amazing. thats all
Thanks Doc Brown"!!
Wow!!! So cool!
Interesting suspension if bit complicated with those hydraulic lines ,,I want to see how it drives and handles,,any vids of that?
dam those 32 fords look sweet
So you have a kit car with a roll cage and fancy new suspension, I dig it
Tout simplement magnifique!!
Incredible engineering! Really innovative stuff. Not to knock the car at all, because its gorgeous. I wonder how that suspension does? I mean all that energy must quickly transmit all the way to the damper
Nice -- would like to have one !!
The good thing with an in-block camshaft is that you don't have to worry about bending the cam tunnels on the cylinder heads and welding them to straighten lol :)
I don't know who this guy is, but he really knows how to talk about cars. Sure, he knows what he is talking about, but also how to talk about it.
Title got me , pretend your watching this 7 years ago . cool ass front suspension .
that is the sickest suspension ever
If you make one of these with blinkers and airbags I'm all in.
i want more of this car!!!!!
I fell in love :)
fantastic cars :)
very nice for a production car.
The "presenter" is actually the car's/suspension's developer, Larry Holt,
vice-president engineering for Multimatic Inc.
I hope that explains why he seemed so knowledgeable about the build! These guys were awesome to interview.
Believe it or not....I remember when the car looked like an original Ford car. Some of them even had what is called a rumble seat, which was in the back (where our trunk is now) and it had a handle at the top of it (up near the back window) and you turned the handle and pulled on it, and out came the rumble seat. I remember my Aunt Bessie coming down from Limestone Maine in one of them. Sure doesn't look like a car of "now". But this one here is a souped up one. This car is as old as ME!!!!
This is amazing.
What a beautiful car. And that suspension system is amazing. Why is it not used more in all kind of cars? Looks to simplify the whole suspension system a lot. To top it of a very safe chassis and body in case something bad happens.
+Fast Er This is actually not a new idea. It's a very old one. What they've done is re-engineered a kingpin suspension system, using modern technology. The reason it was abandoned in the past was that materials technology wasn't good enough and maintenance, especially in a mass market vehicle would be a critical factor.
+Yoshio Tamiya Looks to me they have ripped off and modernized a sliding pillar suspension system
Paul D Pretty much, yeah.
I remember this guy, his company designed and tuned the suspension for the super cuda built by legendary motorcar
Damn that is one hell of a Hot Rod
This is truly an amazing car and a great example of American enginuity
Awesome technology. Really trick.
Its pretty cool. I don't really understand how you could control body roll unless you could continuously change oil pressure to the wheels, similar to the McLaren mp412c
How does the rack and pinion steering compensate for the vertical five inches of movement of the hub?
That is a hell of an arc that it swings thru.It would cause bump steer.
EXCELLENT!!
im gonna crews in my 1970 polara custom and just bump this!!! thank youu
very nice
*Oh, how I love reading youtube comments! Internet anonymity at it's finest!*
However, regarding the video, I haven't seen or heard of this in-wheel suspension until just now. Although I really dig the '32 Ford showcase, this system would REALLY shine in the lifted suspension market! It tucks neatly into the wheel for protection and the relocated cylinder allows for easy adjustment!
Food for thought.
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Lennox Hunter ehh try Flixportal. you can find it thru google:) -dakari
@Dakari Jamari Thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it !!
@Lennox Hunter You are welcome xD
I think that it would be good for a 32 with fenders, a problem with that though is will the splash apron still fit in front of that rack and pinion. Good technology but on a car with fenders. Do they have this for the Model A?
Where's the Cup Holder ? Pretty Cool, anyway. (grin) VERY nice job.
the song is April Showers by ProLeter :)
So how's it do, in a slalom, compared to an art Morrison frame, with rack and pinion steering and Bell axles?
All that tech to push forward a brick aerodynamically
The front suspention seems to be very similar to the Morgan ones ?.
Cool concept where are you located?
Looks like a modern stiff axle, but advenced. When you look close, it's an amazing part of angeneering that gives a lot of advantages and new possibilities!
Looks great, but the rack and pinion position doesn't convince me.
@Craig Roop it cant bumpsteer, because the wheel hub doesn't move relative to stereing rack.
Bump steer ... ?
Had another look and I'm wrong as the steering arm is attached to the static part
And...its Canadian. Multimatic is a great company that has built some fine race cars.
Anybody notice this has the lowest un-sprung weight of any suspension system ever? And zero traction-breaking in-out slide of swing arm suspension? Pretty advanced I'd say! And the remote, hydraulically activated spring/shock setup is sheer genius! Oh, I have an original '32 coupe traditional build hot rod, and I say if its your car you can put any kind of wheels on it you damn well please.
Damn I was hoping to see them light the tires up with that Roush power plant
That is the ultimate car.
Bravo
By this design they are eliminating all sprung weight of the control arms etc.Not only that but by this design they are creating a wider suspension without changing the width of the car. Think about how much roll is lost... This suspension setup is kickass!
AWSOME!
Is there a sway bar incorporated in the hydraulic system? Camber gain?? And last but not least, how does it avoid bump steer?
i love the suspension! two bolts and the whole assembly is off. add some quick disconnect lines for the hydraulic lines and boom...complete removal in 1 minute.
Take my money, all of it for a sweet ride like this.
The suspension details are very interesting and the machining looks top notch, but I have to ask why performance friction brakes on one side and Brembos on the other?
Now I know why CGR has teamed with you on the Riley DP development - also why the #15 GT350R is about 2 seconds faster at DIS -- cu next week - congrats very impressive design -- cheers
