  • As we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the famous civil rights leader's efforts to promote racial equality, Dr. David K. Bernard discusses what the United Pentecostal Church International is doing to promote greater inclusion for believers of all races and ethnicities and to combat the sin of racism in the church.
In this episode, Dr. Bernard references the UPCI's Racial and Ethnic Affirmation and the Racial and Ethnic Affirmation Timeline. Both of these documents are available at upci.org/state....

You have to continue to address this because there are still challenges… keep up the great work Dr Bernard.

It should disturb you that almost 24 hours later you can't tell us what even one "challenge" is... This is not biblical. Smh.
I for one will continue to pray that the church does not get sucked into this secular woke/marxist stuff. Then again, God always leaves a remnant.

Amen. Some brothers might not see this as a priority, but this is a very important priority for the UPC to thrive today. God bless you

I'm a black woman. Just based off the heading, I'm making the following comment: Please don't bring this woke nonsense into the Oneness church. *No one is excluded, so why would we need to work on "inclusion"???* My church is majority black (not a UPC church but we fellowship with UPC churches), and that is just the way our church racially shakes out. We're not excluding anyone _(including the disabled...we have wheelchair accommodations)._ We love everyone and only see our white, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc. brothers and sisters in Christ as simply fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I think the church should address wokeness, which is Marxism in disguise.

Your comment is ridiculous and shows you watch Newsmax too much. It is important for Bishop Bernard to prioritize diversity, Equity, and inclusion in the church. The Apostle Paul spoke about the importance of racial diversity in the body of Christ Im 1 Corinthians 12.

I dont think when he mentioned woke, he was saying the UPCI is woke.
He was simply stating that we’re racially inclusive, even moreso than the “woke” community claims to be.

The gospel doesn’t need political programs. If He be lifted up, he will draw all men to him. And, yes, I attend a UPCI church. Apostolic Restoration Church West Monroe La.

@@theunsettled5683 yes, He is. But not with political correctness. By repentance, baptism in Jesus name,
      the baptism of
the Holy Ghost, daily prayer, studying the Word of God, fasting, loving him with all soul/heart/ strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself.

i'm over it I don't think there's really a answer that can answer this topic and I'm really not gonna focus on it ever again because it's just not something. I'm really worried about as a black man. I feel like I am justified on my own merit and I'm focused on Jesus Christ is being the main focus in his kingdom so if anybody is really really reallyhurt or focusing on this being the main purpose of their life, I feel really really to tell you this, and that word of advice is grow up

Please stop. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin, wake up.
