In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Jesus is the Word). All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made
Beginning of what? God had no beginning ! Jesus is not specifically mentioned, but the Word is. If the word was Jesus and he was with God (Not Father/HS) how can he be God? The lack of the definite article means 1 c can be translated: The word was God The word was a God The wors was divine. The bias of the translators will affect the rendering. In verse 18, we are specifically told that no one has seen God - yet they all saw Jesus.
In John 1:1 the Greek noun _theos_ (“god”) appears twice. The first time it is preceded by the definite article _ho_ (“the God”). When the noun has a definite article, it points to a distinct identity, in this case Almighty God. However, the second _theos,_ referring to the Word, does not have the definite article. It is indefinite. _Theos_ without the definite article in this verse points to a characteristic or quality of the Word instead of an identity. The Word is "divine", "a god", “god-like”, but not the same as _ho theos_ (“the God”). Note that John 1:1 also says that "the Word was with God". Someone who is with another person is not the same as that other person.
Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness, God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Sorry but the translation you are using is not correct at 1 Tim 3:16! the word 'God' has been used to replace 'he' a very similar word in Greek; God = ' theos' He = 'aftos'. By altering just one of the greek letters it can be changed! Sorry! Good try!
Praying for everyone to continue their search for who God says he his. Don’t be content with what you merely here from one person. 2 Corinthians 13:5, examine both sides of the subject fairly and by the same standard and pray the Holy Spirt guides you to truth. It can be difficult to wrap our minds around, especially when we are new to this understanding. We have to always remember that Jesus brings many opposites together, that is why the Bible says lean not on your own understanding. Our understanding tells us that if Jesus is the Lamb he cannot also be the Shepherd, if he was the sacrifice for our sins how could He be the one sacrificing Himself at the same time? If He was the Son of God how could He at the same time be God? It doesn't make sense but we know that it is true, Jesus said "No-one takes my life from Me, but I lay it down of Myself" it also says "No-one had greater love than this; to lay down One's life for His friends." So Jesus has a greater love than God? No, because God Himself found a way to give Himself for our sakes. Not to mention that if God merely sent someone else to die that would mean someone else is now our savior, and it would mean God committed child sacrifice for the sins of humanity. There are just too many things that don't make sense when you take a trinitarian or Unitarian perspective on the Bible, too many verses don't make sense or seem to clash with one another. But there is one lens through which things become clear.
@@leapedrosa4475 The Bible contains the KNOWLEDGE of the Word of God. And the UNDERSTANDING refers to the understanding of the Evil one. Isn't about the KNOWLEDGE of both Word and Evil.
@@leapedrosa4475 You said that the bible contains the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and Evil. But from the bible teaching, the "KNOWLEDGE" is referring to the GOOD or Word of God. And when it's about the Evil, you don't have the "knowledge" of this Evil. Instead, you only have the UNDERSTANDING of the Evil. For the KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING are different from the Bible teaching. You don't have the "knowledge" of the Evil. But only you have the understanding of the Evil. Proverbs 2:6 [6]It is the Lord who gives WISDOM; from him come KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING. Job 28:28 [28]God said to human beings, “To be wise, you must have reverence for the Lord. To UNDERSTAND, you MUST TURN from EVIL.” Proverbs 2:11-12 [11]Your insight and UNDERSTANDING will protect you [12]and PREVENT you from DOING the WRONG thing. They will keep you away from people who stir up trouble by what they say - >UNDERSTANDING of the Evil One. >KNOWLEDGE of the Word of God. There's no contradiction in this.
@@leapedrosa4475 In your first post that you mentioned many contradictions, are somehow questioning God in his ways. How he handled and ruled over humanity. Jesus did everything that God wants him to do, and Jesus succeeded in doing so. Everyhing that happened on earth during the time when Jesus was on Earth, was already decided long time ago in heaven. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit agreed to what must be done on earth. Many readers found contradictions in the bible because of their curiosity and unbelief at first, when they started to study of the bible. The Word of God comes from heaven. And only from heaven can truly explain the Scripture. That's why Jesus said that he has to go back to heaven, so that the Holy Spirit would come. And what is the job of the Holy Spirit here on earth, I ask? Didn't that the Holy Spirit gives gifts?! Eph3:7 I was made a servant of the gospel by God's special GIFTS, which he gave me through the working of his power (Paul said. Formerly Saul -a Pharisee). Gal3:22 And so the GIFT which is promised on the basis of FAITH in Jesus Christ is GIVEN to those who BELIEVE. >I ask. Do u really believe in Jesus? Then, what gift did u receive? 1Cor3:10 Using the GIFT that God gave me, i did the work of an expert builder... 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 [8]The Spirit gives one person a message full of WISDOM, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of KNOWLEDGE. [9]One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person he gives the power to heal. [10]The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another, the gift of SPEAKING God's MESSAGE; and to yet another, the ABILITY to TELL the DIFFERENCE between GIFTS that come from the Spirit and those that do not. To one person he gives the ability to SPEAK in strange tongues, and to another he gives the ABILITY to EXPLAIN what is said. [11]But it is one and the same Spirit who does all this; as he WISHES, he GIVES a different GIFT to each person.
@@leapedrosa4475 Better to use what are the biblical terms used in your explanation. When adam and eve rebelled against God, that was when they ate the "apple", which God had prohibited to be eaten they understood that they were naked, and hid themselves with leaves Genesis 3:7 [7]As soon as they had eaten it, they were given UNDERSTANDING and realized that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and covered themselves. At first, God communitcated with them. So both of them had only the knowledge of the Word of God. But when they ate the "apple" they had the understanding. To violate and reject God's Words/commands is THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVIL?! Also written in the bible?! >If you said that these two are written in the Bible, could you just give the passages/scriptures so you can defend yourself right now? God gave his creatures the free will to choose: Deuteronomy 30:15,19 [15]“Today I am giving you a choice between good and evil, between life and death. But isn’t the Son only the flesh being that the flesh died? We all agree that God cannot die but the flesh in which He temporarily dwelt in did. Hence even His flesh was glorified in His ascension.
@@tyler9_10 no the Son is completely human. Jesus is the Son of God. God’s human Son. Jesus has a soul, body and spirit that are human and completely distinct from God the Father. Some examples… 1. Christ’s prayer in the garden - “…MY SOUL is exceeding sorrowful unto death…” 2. On the cross “…Father into thine hands I commend MY SPIRIT…” 3. As the sacrifice “…A BODY hast thou prepared…ME…” And please note the grammar of the last statement. This verse many take out of context to assume Jesus was “a body”. Jesus is speaking of himself as the only sacrifice that was suitable for redemption. Notice he doesn’t say “a body hast thou prepared FOR me”…he says “a body or a life hast thou prepared…which is me…”. Not word for word but more expressive of the exact thought? So Jesus is the human Son of God plain and simple. God is the Father whose name alone is JEHOVAH.

Just believing is not enough. Obedience to God's word is equally important. As Lord Jesus had said in Matt 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ And Saint James had written in Jas 2:29-20 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that -and shudder. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Thus belief sans obedience is useless.
He was quoting King David and fulfilled prophesy in that moment. Try not to consider it dialogue between two persons. perhaps the humanity was crying out in lamentation. Otherwise you would have to somehow justify theologically how “Father” forsook “Son” since no actual forsakening took place…
He’s one in the same. When He was in the flesh He was the Son of Yah aka Son of man hence God wrapped in flesh. “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1John4:3
you say "Even the thief on the cross knew Jesus was God " Well go read Isaiah 53: speaking about Jesus. The whole chapter is about Jesus Christ. Especially read Isaiah 53:11--Gos sent Jesus--Jesus is not God “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”
I tim 3:16 reads in some low manuscript translations as "God was manifest in the flesh". This was found to be an 'interpolation' ( addition of text ) by a scribe in the 5th/6th century who changed the MSS from 'who' to 'God' by adding an accent to the middle of the letter! ( see Tishendorff 1844 discovery of the V1209 greek MSS of the new testament). So folks the Holy bible does NOT state that it was God himself who became flesh but "God sent his only begotten SON into the world" Lets stick to the words of Jesus himself!
Greetings, Brothers! Spirit does indeed beget Spirit, and "manifested in the flesh" is not the same as "made flesh." In the man Christ Jesus, God was both made flesh (a man) and manifested (revealed/made known) in flesh (filled with the Holy Spirit at baptism). What was conceived in the womb of Mary was Spirit, yet that which is born of flesh is flesh, so the Holy Spirit was made flesh, born of a woman, the man Christ Jesus, made like us in every way. The man Christ Jesus was given the titles "Son of God" and "Christ," because he was the Spirit made and manifested in flesh. The true Son of God and the Christ is the Holy Spirit, God's firstborn Son, the firstborn over all creation and the beginning of the creation of God. God is a Spirit and has a Spirit, as Spirit begets Spirit. The Spirit of God is the breath of his mouth. The Word is that Spirit and it is life, and it proceeds forth out of the mouth of God. Hence, the Holy Spirit, the breath of God, who proceeds forth out of the mouth of God, is the only begotten God, the Spirit of God, who is God, and who was both made and manifested in flesh. Think of God as an endless, limitless, eternal spring of water---the water of life. The water that flows out from the spring is the same as that which is found at its source. And no matter how far it flows from the source, it is the same water that is found at the source. God, who is a Spirit, is the source, the eternal spring, and the Spirit that flows out from the source is the same Spirit at the source. So God is both the spring and the water flowing from the spring. He is both the water and the source of the water. The Spirit that proceeds out of the mouth of God is the Spirit of God and is God. God is the Word, which is Spirit, and God is that Spirit. When God spoke the Word, which was God, He begat the Holy Spirit, who is the only begotten God and firstborn Son of God, who is the Spirit of God, that water flowing from the source that is God. The man Christ Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a woman, in the fulness of time, the Word (Spirit) made and manifested in flesh. The Christ is our God and our Father, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, firstborn over all creation and the beginning of the creation of God, the only begotten God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit made and manifested in flesh. He is the Word that was in the beginning with God and who was God, the Spirit of Life, whose begetting was from the mouth of the Father, and who is the Father, as Spirit begets Spirit, the true light that gives light to every man coming into the world, by whom also the worlds were made, in whom all things hold together, and whose goings forth are from old, even from everlasting. There is no one righteous but the Righteous One, the Holy One of Israel, the One true God, who is a Spirit, and who is One, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, God made and manifested in the flesh, the same God who created us, bore our grief and carried our sorrows in his own body, and redeemed us with his own blood, our Father, the blessed hope, our Great God and Savior, JESUS CHRIST. Of whom also I am a bondservant and witness. Let the light shine out of the darkness. Amen. Grace and Peace to you all -james
In Jesus' baptism the three persons were there. If Jesus is the same person as the Father, then how do you reconcile the Father speaking in Heaven while Jesus was on earth and the Holy Spirit was also there in a form of a Dove? Matthew 3:16-17 = 'And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son,with whom I am well pleased.” ' During the Creation, Elohim YEHOVAH said: " Let us make man in our own image". Who was with Elohim during the creation who must be also a Creator? Clearly he was Jesus in his pre incarnate form. In John 17:1-5 Jesus was talking to His Father in Heaven. = 1Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. You see, if Jesus and the Father are one person, did you mean that Jesus was talking to Himself and calling Himself "Father"? Therefore Jesus and the Father are two different persons. Glory be to Elohim Abba Yehovah in the mighty name of Yeshua Hamasiach by the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 1 contradicts that Jesus is a "created being". Jesus was there at creation, with the Father. What you believe in is the Roman Catholic Trinity version. Please read this ♥️ John 1 King James Version 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Word was there in the beginning, and also became flesh and dwelt amongst us. Jesus was not created but sent by the Father whom is also God. When we say God we are actually referring to the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit. John 1 makes it clear that Jesus was there since the beginning. The only way to the Father is through Jesus, it was always the plan to send His begotten Son whom was also there with Him at creation. There are multiple verses in the Bible referring to the Father as God as well. Puts more emphasis on the Trinity because we KNOW the God's Word doesn't contradict itself.

As a result of it and the writings of your colleague, David Norris, I have shifted my views towards a Oneness perspective.
@@davidstout6051Brother, UPC are in error, they believe that God became human and put on a dust body which is completely unscriptural and blasphemy to say the least. All of this two nature Christ doctrine is all catholic theology from Chalcedon and is just vain philosophy. The flesh of Jesus comes from heaven (Read John 6 carefully) Jesus is not human, He is God. Mr Pedrosa, If Father Sent Son and Spirit, how can you not see that it is the Lord in Divine Sendership of CoEqual Son and Spirit? Surely the Father didn't Send Himself and change His Title twice and at Sons Baptism be Simultaneously Present in Three Titles. Or Son and Spirit say we are the Father.
Dear Reverend Bernard, The UPC of Ethiopia is in question by people who claim are working with UPCI about who Jesus Christ is. UPCE believe that Jesus is the Father. However, these people who work with you claim that believing that Jesus is the father is a false teaching. They say that such belief is a false teaching by devine flesh doctrine. Please comment on it on one of your podcasts.

Pastor Bernard and followers of Christ…please understand… The statement that was made “Jesus and God are exactly alike in EVERY way” gives us now two who are God! Now believe me…I know what so many are trying to say but it is unnecessary. All of this language and extra biblical thought is the result of an ante-nicene and post-nicene hangover. If you will. How can we make the above statement when Jesus clearly prays, worships, submits to, loves and honors, is led by, proceeds from the one who IS God. “Whose name alone IS JEHOVAH”. Unfortunately we have taken the name completely out of the NT and yet it is still there on the lips of Jesus as he quotes OT prophets and in the prayers of the early church like when they prayed for boldness in Acts 4:13 on. If the short answer is Jesus is the Son of God then it’s also sufficient for a long answer. Matter of fact why can’t we just make the “long story” short and just say Jesus is the Christ the Son of God… Again I reiterate…the words god and lord were not always used in reference to JEHOVAH…they were used in reference to Kings, Magistrates and Judges…check it out for yourselves…

The word made flesh is the son of God. That the word made flesh is the blood and flesh of the everlasting father. The flesh and blood of merry can not be the son of God
So... Jesus was not in the flesh? You wrote Merry.. but I think you're meaning Mary... if Christ never assumed flesh, then by no way we could be redeemed. Christians throughout the Ages have believed and taught that Jesus was both 'Fully God and Fully Man'... Can you explain Jesus dying on the cross..! God forsake him and Jesus commit his spirit to his Father or God(Luke 23:46, Matthew 27:46-50, Mark 15:34-37 ).
The human Jesus died like any other man and was raised from the dead. Regarding your other question: I believe that was the moment the sins of the world were put on Jesus and he FELT God forsaken because sin has the effect of breaking one's fellowship with God. This is what happened to Jesus, momentarily. IMO, this felt worse to Him than the nails in his hands, the stripes on his back, the thirst and the spear.
@@tluangteatlau8996 I believe God did "foresake" him by cutting off their previously unbroken fellowship and communion, which must have felt terrible to Jesus. The arrogance of both oneness Pentecostals and trinitarians in assuming they’ve got the answer to explain away the composition and essence of the infinite spiritual being that is God with our tiny finite human minds always astounds me. Colossians 1:13-16. The Son is the image of the invisible God. The Son is eternal, being the very image of the eternal God. Existing WITH God since the beginning and BEING God since the beginning (John 1). That image AKA the Son is what came and manifested itself in the flesh. How that image was able to subject itself to our 3 dimensional world while at the same time remain God and interact with the eternal Spirit (John 17) I can only hope to understand one day. For now I will trust in His Word without adding or subtracting from it. The Son is not a separate but equal person of the trinity. The Son is not simplified to what brother Bernard just try to explain here. It is far more complex and we should stop trying to impose our human understanding on explanations of the complexity of the eternal infinite God. The sooner we understand this, the sooner we can stop dividing the body of Christ.
I think we are 1st century in our baptism(salvation per Acts 2:38), but quasi Catholic in our modified incarnation idea. We have not come out of the reformation entirely.
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 🙏 Brother, I believe it more perfect to make sure we Apostolics, when sharing to Trinitarians that we stress, 1tim,3:16, meaning The GREAT MYSTERY ONENESS , rather that just oneness alone, reason being they misunderstand us, regarding that sometimes Jesus conducted himself as son of man at times, then other times as son of God, then also as God manifest in flesh, all great Mystery, 1 Tim, 3:16🙏
Jesus is a separate person but one with God. “If you have seen me you have seen the father” “I and the Father are One”. Jesus being separate physically from The Father are One in character. Same for the Holy Spirit, separate but the same character. God does not look on the outward but the character, our “heart” as it were.
The Holy Spirit equals the Father Bc Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit. God is not separate persons. He us one person and the Son is the express image of God's one person. Hebrews 1:3
@@Miguellewis777 That isn't what the Bible states. Jesus when on the cross spoke with God asking "Father, Father why have you forsaken me"? Who was Jesus taking to if He wasn't talking to the Father? Himself? Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit In this verse Jesus states in the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, why did he call out all three if they are the same being? John 16:7 But I tell you I am going to do what is best for you. This is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit cannot come to help you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to you. If Jesus and the Holy Spirit and God are the same being why did Christ say in John 16:7 that He had to leave so the Holy Spirit could come. I'm not sure where you learned that God and Christ and God's Holy Spirit are not separate but the Bible is clear there are 3 distinct and separate beings in the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit they are separate but one in Character and motive. This is why Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the father because they are of identical character and motive.
Dear Apostolic YOU rely and go to the Book of Acts for telling people on how to be saved but you BUT you do not believe and teach what the Apostles preached about Jesus..Look for yourself Acts 2:22 & 10:38 this is from the man who was given the keys and the revelation of who Jesus is..
The answer is simple. He prayed carrying us in His own body as GOD and man and is our perfect example for us to follow Him. Jesus prayed to GOD because he is the SON of GOD. The SON prayed to the FATHER. The SON is equal to the FATHER therefore He is GOD also. Howbeit, the FATHER is still greater than the SON. This is deep knowledge in the WORD of GOD.
I just read this verse and I'm far from a Bible expert but my first thought is that this verse is talking about the form that God will take after the 1000 years are complete and time is no more. It would be his eternal body or figure. Imagine living in a world with no time and no death. The verse that it brings to mind is Rev 21:23 And the city has no need of the sun nor the moon to shine I it. For the glory of God dud lighten it. And the Lamb is the light thereof.
@@Miguellewis777 …my understanding is that God will have redeemed humanity back to himself through Jesus Christ! God is in Christ in this age, and in the next… his scepter is forever! God has manifest himself in Christ in this age & in the next! Like we were told in Isaiah45:15 the Jews, couldn’t believe that the fullness of deity was in Christ and till this day, some people still rejected it!!!! no human can fathom the infinity of God!
Part 1 of 2 Jesus was created by the will of God. Joh 1:13 - “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” We can see here clearly that Jesus was born by the will of God, like a new born baby and that His creator was God. He was thus created by God which is why God called Him His Son. He was also the first begotten of God which means that He was the first being that was created by God. Jesus was the firstborn of God, the firstborn of all creatures, thus before any angels and other heavenly beings. Col 1:15 - “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.” The Nestle-Aland Greek-English translation quotes “the firstborn of all creation.” which is the more correct translation. Two statements are made here:- • The first being that Jesus was the firstborn of every creature / all creation, which means that He was the first to see light like a new born baby, which also indicates that He was created by God, His Father. He was thus the first creation of God, before anything else was created such as the angels and cosmos, which included earth, animals and mankind. God did not need a woman to create Jesus as He has the power to create anything out of nothing. • The second statement here affirms the fact that God is invisible, a Holy Spiritual being. As Jesus was created by God in His image, it would just be logical to accept that initially Jesus would also have been created as a Holy Spirit, a God, and also being invisible. God had only one begotten Son. This is confirmed in the following texts:- • Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. • Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. • Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. • 1Joh 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON into the world, that we might live through him. Jesus was a God and God addressed Him as GOD and LORD.. Heb 1:8-10 - ”But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore GOD, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, LORD, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. The dual Godhead consisted of two individual Gods and is confirmed in Gen 1:26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, Joh 1:1-2 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. IT CLEARLY INDICATES THAT IN THE BEGINNING THERE WERE TWO INDIVIDUAL GODS. The Hebrew word Elohim indicates a plural God. So, when God said to the other God, Jesus, who is the creator of all things, let Us create man, Jesus performed the creation. This is confirmed in:- Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. UP TO NOW WE CAN SEE THAT IN THE BEGINNING THERE WERE DEFINITELY TWO GODS. When Jesus created all things, there were no other heavenly beings around. The bible would have mentioned the creation of angels and other heavenly beings if it were done during the six day creation. 1 Cor 8:6 - “But to us there is but ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and ONE Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” It indicates here that Jesus went out of God as the text contains the term “all things” thus meaning that Jesus was created by God. It further indicates that there is only ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things and Jesus Christ took that which God supplied and gave form to it, which included the cosmos, angels, mankind and animals. It also indicates here that there are TWO separate entities namely God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Joh 1: 3 - “All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” Eph 3:9 - “…..who created all things by Jesus Christ.” Joh 1:10 - “He (Jesus) was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.” These texts above also confirm that Jesus created all things, which includes the whole world. 1 Cor 8:4 - “…..and that there is none other God but ONE.” This confirms than when Jesus came to this world, He gave up His godliness and deity in total, and became totally man. Jesus was NOT GOD AND MAN AT THE SAME TIME IN THIS WORLD. The Greek word Theos indicate a singular God. Joh 1:14 - “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” The Word that became flesh was Jesus. It is important to note that the Word was a God which then became flesh or human. Jesus was not the firstborn on earth as Adam and Eve were the first creations of God and thereafter all their children were born. God loved the world so much that He was prepared to sacrifice His only begotten Son so that man may have everlasting life. 1 Joh 4:10 - “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” Joh 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Joh 20:17 - “Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.” Just after the resurrection of Jesus He said to Mary Magdalene not to touch Him, therefore He was thus touchable, a human and not a spirit. He was resurrected by His Father and all sin were removed from Him and was thus pure and did not want to get polluted, thus the request to Mary not to touch Him. It also comes through that Jesus viewed Himself as human as He referred to God as His Father and her Father and His God and her God. As this request was just after His resurrection, it could be possible that He needed to be sealed by His Father first to not become polluted by sin or any other form of dirt, before anybody else could touch Him again.
part 2 of 2 Joh 20:17 - “Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.” Just after the resurrection of Jesus He said to Mary Magdalene not to touch Him, therefore He was thus touchable, a human and not a spirit. Jesus was again man and tangible after His resurrection. Mat 28:9 - “And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped Him.” Luk 24:39-43 - “Behold my hands and my feet, that is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh an bones, as ye see me have. And when He had thus spoken, He showed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before them.” Here we have affirmation that Jesus was among normal people when He revealed Himself to the people after the resurrection, and requested them to touch Him to show that He is tangible and not a spirit, as you cannot touch and feel a spirit. Jesus showed His hands and feet which showed the signs of the nails that penetrated them when He was crucified. The people were astonished because they could not believe that Jesus was standing in their midst. Jesus knew that they did not believe that He was human thus the request from Jesus to them if they had something to eat to be able to convince them that He was in fact human. Maybe with a bit of disbelief, they gave Him a piece of broiled fish and a piece of honeycomb, as a spirit cannot eat, but Jesus took it and ate it before them. Now, anyone who experienced this will realize that Jesus has been resurrected and lived after His crucifixion and that He was human again. Jesus knew that the only way to convince man that He was alive and resurrected, was to appear to them and with the necessary indications, namely to show them the wounds of the crucifixion. He also knew to show it to more than one person so that they may go out to tell other people what they saw and experienced. Jesus instructed Thomas to perform certain actions so that he may believe. Joh 20:27 - “Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.” Jesus specifically asked Thomas, the disbeliever, to bring his finger and to place it in the wounds of His hands and feet, there where the nails penetrated them with the crucifixion and also to take his hand and to push his hand into His side where He had a spear wound. Jesus wanted Thomas to become a believer as many people are just like him, who wants to see first before they believe. Jesus did not think twice to become totally man on this earth. He gave up His Godly powers in total and humbled Himself right up to His death on the cross. Phi 2:6-8 - “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Jesus gave up His Godly position and become totally man and took upon Himself the form of a servant. He knew what lay ahead but He humbled Himself, to remain obedient up to His death on the cross. He was totally obedient to God and that is why He is now sitting at the right hand side God. This was part of God’s Salvation plan otherwise it would not have been a success. If God sent Jesus as a co-God to this earth, He could not have died on the cross, as a God cannot die. Jesus had to come to this earth as man to do His work properly, so that His coming could not be branded by Satan as a hoax. After the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He ascended to His Father. Luk 24:51 - “And it came to pass, while he blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.” Here is an Indication that Jesus Christ went up into heaven. An event that was experienced, witnessed and documented by His disciples. Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and went to sit on the right hand side of God. Mar 16:19 - “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” After the crucifixion Jesus appeared to many people and His disciples to show them that He was resurrected from the dead and that He lives, and also to portray the power and might of God. When the time was right, in the presence of them all, He ascended to heaven. Again, the people could see this to believe it so that they could go out and tell it to others. Mark also wrote that Jesus went to sit on God’s right hand side. How he saw it we cannot explain but he would not have said it if he did not have some insight or vision about it. Jesus went to sit on the right hand side of God and angels, authorities and powers were made subject to Him. 1 Pet 3:21-22 - “…… by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.” Peter also indicated that Jesus ascended to heaven and took His place on the right hand side of God. Jesus also received His Godly powers back as the powers and angels were made subject onto Him. 1 Tim 2:5 - “There is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” This text indicates that Jesus Christ is now “human”, which means that He relinquished His heavenly status as God and Holy Spirit before He became human on this earth. He thus had to die on the cross as “human”. If Jesus did receive His Godliness back, He would not be sitting on God’s right hand side as “man”. This will now also ease the judgement as Jesus would not have to affirm to mankind that He did in fact die on the cross as human. Satan can also not use the argument to say to mankind that Jesus bluffed them on the cross as He was not human. This is again an indication that there are two separate entities. Another very important fact that also comes through is that there is only One Mediator between God and mankind namely Jesus Christ. It plainly means that man cannot go to God whilst ignoring Jesus Christ, as He is the only Mediator. This is a very important fact to remember as many churches/believers preach that you do not need to know Jesus Christ or to go through Him to God.

Hi Mico, God responds to anyone who turns to Him in genuine repentance. He pours out His Spirit, not because one has understood all Biblical doctrines. However, one of the chief purposes of God pouring out His Spirit is stated clearly in Jn. 16:13: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth..."
The Holy Ghost is poured out. Anyone can have it. But, there's more to salvation. Acts 2:38 is still for today. Even in that day: Acts 19:1-5 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ------ So, receive the Holy Ghost YES! Then follow through with the full salvation plan by getting baptized in Jesus' Name.

Everlasting Father" Revelation 21:6-7: Jesus promises to be the Father of all overcomers
When incarnate, we are spirit + body. When we "die" we are only spirit. When we "die" our physical body dies but our spirit lives in with same personality and issues that we had the second before we lost our physical body.
"Son of God" expression logically eliminates the title holder option to be God, so own Father. As for Thomas in John 20-28,29, there are 2 explanations how he could have meant it. 1. Word "theos" can be used also for false gods and humans, so he referred by both (Lord and god) to the human - Jesus, see Psalm 82:6, not the God. 2. Based on Greek grammar he might have referred to 2 persons, to Jesus, and to Father whom he saw in Jesus, acknowledging both. But come on guys... if someone is Son of God, cannot be Father, so God. If you claim you follow the Son, so stick with his "Father is the only true God."
Both. Only brbotten son..and image of the invisible God. When you see Jesus you are seeing GOD...He is THE tabernacle of GOD..Solomon said the heaven a d the hea en of heavens cannot contain God...Jesus is God seen and God rxpressrd..
Jesus Himself Speaks About Hell And How Not To Go There. In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus describes a rich man that lived lavishly and a poor beggar man named Lazarus. It came to pass that Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man died, was buried, then went to hell. 23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in TORMENT, saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented IN THIS FLAME. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus received evil things, but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you can not, neither can they pass to us, and would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray you therefore father, that you would send him to my father’s house. 28 For I have 5 brothers that he may testify unto them, lest also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” LOCATION OF HELL: Jesus said in Matthew 12:40, ”For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.” Paul said in Ephesians 4:9, ”Now that he ascended, was it but that he also DESCENDED into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.” HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE: Jesus said in Luke 16:24,”….Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.” Jesus said in Matthew 13:42,”And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE, there shall be WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.” Jesus said in Matthew 25:41,”Then shall he also say to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Jesus said in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.” HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT: Jesus said in Luke 16:23,”And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENT….” 24 …..for I am TORMENTED in this flame.” Jesus said in Revelation 14:11,”And the smoke of their TORMENT ascended up FOR EVER AND EVER, and they have no rest day or night….” Jesus said in Mark 9:45-46,”And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED. 46 Where their WORM DIES NOT, and the fire is not quenched.” Note that it doesn’t say “THE Worm”, it says “THEIR WORM” dies not. Jesus said in Revelation 21:8,”But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, which is the second death.” Note that Brimstone is Sulfur and burns with a very strong odor of rotten eggs. The scriptures above prove when a person goes to hell they will constantly see hell, constantly smell hell, constantly feel the heat of hell, will constantly breath hell, will constantly hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth of others in hell, will constantly be aware of their own worms, they will have no rest day or night, there is no way out and it will continue for ever and ever, they can’t die because they are already dead. The following is how to not go there and it is a SIMPLE AND EASY thing to do: All of the book of Acts is what Jesus disciples said what we must to be SAVED - meaning not go to hell, which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME, (NOT the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not name's) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time they invoked Jesus NAME at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16 (Paul's baptism). Jesus said in John 3:3-7,"Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man BE BORN AGAIN, he can not see the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water which is for the REMISSION OF SINS - meaning the INITIAL remission of sins and not the confessing of sins later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost. What being baptized with the Holy Ghost means is addressed in Mark 16:17 (Jesus speaking), Acts 2:3-4, (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." Numbers 23:19, ”God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, has he said and shall he not do it? And shall he not make it good?” Malachi 3:6,”For I am the Lord, I change not...” Hebrews 13:8,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” That means there is no reason to think that Jesus will make an exception and save someone that has not been baptized in water in Jesus NAME, and has not been baptized with the Holy Ghost. Some say the thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him that day. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in HIS NAME until after he had risen from the dead and before he ascended into heaven. The thief on the cross could not have been baptized because he did not know about it. If you do what Jesus said above in Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, and John 3:3-7, you will be making SURE your name is Written In Lamb's Book Of Life. If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus Name do a search and type in "United Pentecostal Church International", scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, a screen will show a Church near you that will do that. Jesus said John 10:27, ”My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Dr. Bernard Greetings in the name of JESUS CHRIST. I always love to use Zechariah 12:10 cross referenced with John 19:31- 37 among other scriptures when discussing the oneness. What's your insight/ interpretation of such scriptures?
@@leapedrosa4475 I presume you're a Jehovah's Witness, because it's mostly such people who do not believe in the deity of the Lord JESUS CHRIST. "...GOD was manifest in the flesh..." I Tim 3:16. JESUS was both human and GOD on earth. As a human being He got hungry, (Luke 4:2). He became sad and wept (John 11: 34-35)....as GOD He: raised the dead, ( John 11:41-44); feed a multitude, ( Mark 8:5-9)...there are many other scriptures that proves my point. In Zech.12:10 The LORD said they shall look upon Him whom they have pierced...in John 19:37 Zech 12:10 was fulfilled. JESUS is GOD, JESUS is the Son of GOD, JESUS is the Holy Spirit. Three manifestations of the one GOD, not three distinct or separate persons.

Jesus was not called the Son of Mary or the Son of human being and neither did Jesus ever refer Himself to be her child. But He did refer to His 1st coming as the Son of Man, His 2nd coming as The Son of GOD, His 3rd coming as The Son of David ( Metaphor).
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Jesus is the Word). All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made
Hallelujah.
Simple as 1.2.3
Beginning of what? God had no beginning ! Jesus is not specifically mentioned, but the Word is. If the word was Jesus and he was with God (Not Father/HS) how can he be God? The lack of the definite article means 1 c can be translated:
The word was God
The word was a God
The wors was divine.
The Word "was WITH" God and the Word "WAS God." There is here a distinction of persons alongside a consubstantiality.
Thank you, Dr. Bernard, you have revealed who Jesus is in truth. Praise God.

@@leapedrosa4475
The Bible contains the KNOWLEDGE of the Word of God. And the UNDERSTANDING refers to the understanding of the Evil one. Isn't about the KNOWLEDGE of both Word and Evil.
@@leapedrosa4475
You said that the bible contains the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and Evil.

@@leapedrosa4475
In your first post that you mentioned many contradictions, are somehow questioning God in his ways.
Eph3:7
I was made a servant of the gospel by God's special GIFTS, which he gave me through the working of his power (Paul said. Formerly Saul -a Pharisee).
Gal3:22
And so the GIFT which is promised on the basis of FAITH in Jesus Christ is GIVEN to those who BELIEVE.
>I ask. Do u really believe in Jesus? Then, what gift did u receive?
1Cor3:10
Using the GIFT that God gave me, i did the work of an expert builder...
1 Corinthians 12:8-11
[8]The Spirit gives one person a message full of WISDOM, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of KNOWLEDGE.

When adam and eve rebelled against God, that was when they ate the "apple", which God had prohibited to be eaten they understood that they were naked, and hid themselves with leaves
Genesis 3:7
[7]As soon as they had eaten it, they were given UNDERSTANDING and realized that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and covered themselves.
At first, God communitcated with them. So both of them had only the knowledge of the Word of God. But when they ate the "apple" they had the understanding.
To violate and reject God's Words/commands is THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVIL?! Also written in the bible?!

@@lowedmontebon8676 when you have time look up some alternate renderings of Isaiah 9:6

@@tyler9_10 no the Son is completely human. Jesus is the Son of God. God’s human Son. Jesus has a soul, body and spirit that are human and completely distinct from God the Father. Some examples…
1. Christ’s prayer in the garden - “…MY SOUL is exceeding sorrowful unto death…”
2. On the cross “…Father into thine hands I commend MY SPIRIT…”
3. As the sacrifice “…A BODY hast thou prepared…ME…”
And please note the grammar of the last statement.

Obedience to God's word is equally important.
As Lord Jesus had said in

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”
So when Jesus was in the garden, who was he praying to, himself?
People think this is heresy and it is sad but It’s God who gives the understanding to men and reveals the mystery to his people through the Spirit.
You believe what you believe because your preacher said so. Don't blame it on God.
@@johncarter4041 The Bible taught me that. It’s obvious you got preached what you believe in.
Amen.
Grace and Peace to you all

In Jesus' baptism the three persons were there. If Jesus is the same person as the Father, then how do you reconcile the Father speaking in Heaven while Jesus was on earth and the Holy Spirit was also there in a form of a Dove? Matthew 3:16-17 = 'And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son,with whom I am well pleased.” '
During the Creation, Elohim YEHOVAH said: " Let us make man in our own image".

John 1
King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

I would love to hear Bro. Bernard expound on Jesus ascending into heaven, & his body of Flesh & Bone (Glorified Body) and the connection to the spirit. I've not heard any in depth teaching on that from the Upc church.
Here is my take: We are spirits inhabiting a physical body to experience this physical world. When we "die" we shed our physical body. We continue to live as spirit with the same personality and issues that we had seconds before we lost our body. We are ALWAYS spirit with or without a physical body. We can incarnate into any life form on any planet. We are spirit.

The statement that was made “Jesus and God are exactly alike in EVERY way” gives us now two who are God!
Matter of fact why can’t we just make the “long story” short and just say Jesus is the Christ the Son of God…

@@comingverysoon So, "he FELT God forsaken" but, God didn't really forsake or left him..?!
@@tluangteatlau8996 I believe God did "foresake" him by cutting off their previously unbroken fellowship and communion, which must have felt terrible to Jesus. I believe this is why he cried at that time and died immediately afterwards.
Then on the 3rd day...
Please understand this is just my opinion.
@@comingverysoon You mean there are two Spirits that left the body..! God(Spirit) and the Spirit of man that he committed to his Father.?!!
Brother David Bernard knows his stuff
The original oneness teaching of scripture was the unification of God inside Jesus.
I think we are 1st century in our baptism(salvation per Acts 2:38), but quasi Catholic in our modified incarnation idea. We have not come out of the reformation entirely.
Can someone answer this question for me ? What does someone do in order to receive JESUS CHRIST salvation
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 2:37-38
I just comprehend this video the same way I was thinking before it seems like the pastor is agreeing with both that he's the son of God & that he is God which I believe is true because Jesus is God to us(humans) but he's also the son of God

Please can you talk about the end time prophet and our current situation..
What meaneth this?

🙏 Brother, I believe it more perfect to make sure we Apostolics, when sharing to Trinitarians that we stress, 1tim,3:16, meaning The GREAT MYSTERY ONENESS , rather that just oneness alone, reason being they misunderstand us, regarding that sometimes Jesus conducted himself as son of man at times, then other times as son of God, then also as God manifest in flesh, all great Mystery, 1 Tim, 3:16🙏
This is a major problem. This excludes God from being inside Jesus working through him per John 14. Very messy.
Jesus is a separate person but one with God. “If you have seen me you have seen the father” “I and the Father are One”. Jesus being separate physically from The Father are One in character. Same for the Holy Spirit, separate but the same character. God does not look on the outward but the character, our “heart” as it were.
The Holy Spirit equals the Father
Bc Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit.
Himself?
Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
In this verse Jesus states in the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, why did he call out all three if they are the same being?
How is the population of a city going to know it most cities have only one upc church.. in many cases upc churches are hundreds of miles apart
Dear Apostolic YOU rely and go to the Book of Acts for telling people on how to be saved but you BUT you do not believe and teach what the Apostles preached about Jesus..Look for yourself
Acts 2:22 & 10:38 this is from the man who was given the keys and the revelation of who Jesus is..
The answer is simple.
He prayed carrying us
in His own body as
GOD and man and is
our perfect example
for us to follow Him.
Jesus prayed to GOD
because he is the SON of GOD.
The SON prayed to the FATHER.
The SON is equal to the FATHER
therefore He is GOD also.
Howbeit, the FATHER is still
greater than the SON.
This is deep knowledge
in the WORD of GOD.
I’m a oneness… how do you explain 1 Corinthian 15:28? I’ve heard 2 many interpretations!
I just read this verse and I'm far from a Bible expert but my first thought is that this verse is talking about the form that God will take after the 1000 years are complete and time is no more. It would be his eternal body or figure. Imagine living in a world with no time and no death.
The verse that it brings to mind is Rev 21:23
And the city has no need of the sun nor the moon to shine I it. For the glory of God dud lighten it. And the Lamb is the light thereof.
@@Miguellewis777 …my understanding is that God will have redeemed humanity back to himself through Jesus Christ! God is in Christ in this age, and in the next… his scepter is forever! Part 1 of 2
Jesus was created by the will of God.
Joh 1:13 - “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
We can see here clearly that Jesus was born by the will of God, like a new born baby and that His creator was God.
Two statements are made here:-
• The first being that Jesus was the firstborn of every creature / all creation, which means that He was the first to see light like a new born baby, which also indicates that He was created by God, His Father.
This is confirmed in the following texts:-
• Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
The dual Godhead consisted of two individual Gods and is confirmed in
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image,
Joh 1:1-2 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
This is confirmed in:-
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1 Cor 8:6 - “But to us there is but ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and ONE Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”
It indicates here that Jesus went out of God as the text contains the term “all things” thus meaning that Jesus was created by God. It further indicates that there is only ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things and Jesus Christ took that which God supplied and gave form to it, which included the cosmos, angels, mankind and animals. It also indicates here that there are TWO separate entities namely God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Joh 1: 3 - “All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.”
Eph 3:9 - “…..who created all things by Jesus Christ.”
Joh 1:10 - “He (Jesus) was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.”
These texts above also confirm that Jesus created all things, which includes the whole world.
1 Cor 8:4 - “…..and that there is none other God but ONE.”
This confirms than when Jesus came to this world, He gave up His godliness and deity in total, and became totally man. Jesus was NOT GOD AND MAN AT THE SAME TIME IN THIS WORLD.
The Greek word Theos indicate a singular God.
Joh 1:14 - “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
The Word that became flesh was Jesus.
1 Joh 4:10 - “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
Joh 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Joh 20:17 - “Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.”
Just after the resurrection of Jesus He said to Mary Magdalene not to touch Him, therefore He was thus touchable, a human and not a spirit. He was resurrected by His Father and all sin were removed from Him and was thus pure and did not want to get polluted, thus the request to Mary not to touch Him. It also comes through that Jesus viewed Himself as human as He referred to God as His Father and her Father and His God and her God. As this request was just after His resurrection, it could be possible that He needed to be sealed by His Father first to not become polluted by sin or any other form of dirt, before anybody else could touch Him again.
part 2 of 2
Joh 20:17 - “Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.”
Jesus was again man and tangible after His resurrection.
Mat 28:9 - “And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped Him.”
Luk 24:39-43 - “Behold my hands and my feet, that is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh an bones, as ye see me have. And when He had thus spoken, He showed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before them.”
Here we have affirmation that Jesus was among normal people when He revealed Himself to the people after the resurrection, and requested them to touch Him to show that He is tangible and not a spirit, as you cannot touch and feel a spirit.
Joh 20:27 - “Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.”
Jesus specifically asked Thomas, the disbeliever, to bring his finger and to place it in the wounds of His hands and feet, there where the nails penetrated them with the crucifixion and also to take his hand and to push his hand into His side where He had a spear wound. Jesus wanted Thomas to become a believer as many people are just like him, who wants to see first before they believe.
Jesus did not think twice to become totally man on this earth. He gave up His Godly powers in total and humbled Himself right up to His death on the cross.
Phi 2:6-8 - “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Jesus gave up His Godly position and become totally man and took upon Himself the form of a servant.
Luk 24:51 - “And it came to pass, while he blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.”
Here is an Indication that Jesus Christ went up into heaven. An event that was experienced, witnessed and documented by His disciples.
Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and went to sit on the right hand side of God.
Mar 16:19 - “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
After the crucifixion Jesus appeared to many people and His disciples to show them that He was resurrected from the dead and that He lives, and also to portray the power and might of God.
1 Pet 3:21-22 - “…… by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.”
Peter also indicated that Jesus ascended to heaven and took His place on the right hand side of God. Jesus also received His Godly powers back as the powers and angels were made subject onto Him.
1 Tim 2:5 - “There is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
This text indicates that Jesus Christ is now “human”, which means that He relinquished His heavenly status as God and Holy Spirit before He became human on this earth.

However, one of the chief purposes of God pouring out His Spirit is stated clearly in Jn. 16:13: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth..."

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew 3:16-17
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Luke 22:69-71
69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
Matthew 27:46
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Jesus is Fully Father(God) and Fully Son(Human).
BULLONEY--go read--better yet GO STUDY instead of letting someone TELL you what to believe.
True
You cannot get biblical proof JesusChrist saying that He is the Father God.
@randjoshe1663 Here are some Bible verses that refer to Jesus and the Father:
John 10:38: "The Father is in me, and I in him"
John 10:30: "I and the Father are one"
John 14:9: "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father"
Mark 14:36: Jesus calls God “Abba, Father”
Matthew 6:9: Jesus teaches us to pray to God as our Father
Isaiah 9:6: "His name shall be called . . . Everlasting Father"
Revelation 21:6-7: Jesus promises to be the Father of all overcomers
It might help if Bernard lookup up the definition of "OF". Son OF God. Of meaning a part of the whole.
What happened to Christ's physical body after ringing in heaven?
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
LOCATION OF HELL: Jesus said in Matthew 12:40, ”For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.” Paul said in Ephesians 4:9, ”Now that he ascended, was it but that he also DESCENDED into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE: Jesus said in Luke 16:24,”….Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.”
Jesus said in Matthew 13:42,”And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE, there shall be WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.” Jesus said in Matthew 25:41,”Then shall he also say to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Jesus said in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT: Jesus said in Luke 16:23,”And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENT….” 24 …..for I am TORMENTED in this flame.” Jesus said in Revelation 14:11,”And the smoke of their TORMENT ascended up FOR EVER AND EVER, and they have no rest day or night….” Jesus said in Mark 9:45-46,”And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED.
The following is how to not go there and it is a SIMPLE AND EASY thing to do:
All of the book of Acts is what Jesus disciples said what we must to be SAVED - meaning not go to hell, which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME, (NOT the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned."
At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not name's) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS."
Numbers 23:19, ”God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, has he said and shall he not do it? And shall he not make it good?”
Malachi 3:6,”For I am the Lord, I change not...”
Hebrews 13:8,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” That means there is no reason to think that Jesus will make an exception and save someone that has not been baptized in water in Jesus NAME, and has not been baptized with the Holy Ghost.
I am confused. Jesus said the Father is greater than I.
The Spirit of God is greater than the human flesh
@@leapedrosa4475 who was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself? ( 2 Cor. 5:19) if the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Father, and the Father is spirit, how many spirits are there? Philip asked JESUS to show to them the Father, as they heard JESUS spoke of the Father, what was JESUS's response? John 14:9 JESUS is the Holy Spirit: John 14:16-19. JESUS had said He was going to the Father and He will ask the Father to send another comforter, and yet He stated that the Spirit of truth (Comforter) is known to them and dwells with them, and shall be in them, JESUS then said in verse 19, " I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Did Thomas sinned when he confessed JESUS as, " my LORD and my GOD? John 20:25-28
@Lea Pedrosa finish answering all my questions.
@@leapedrosa4475 since I am a spiritual idiot, how many spirits are in the Godhead?
@@leapedrosa4475 You have the wrong Jesus. You deny the full diety of Jesus So because of that you have the wrong Jesus. God in Isa.44 Said he was the first and last. Jesus in Revelation 1 says he is the first and last. There can't be two first and last. Rev. says their is one throne in Heaven and Jesus sets on that throne. your doctrine came from Pagans.
Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers......Jesus is revealing he has a Father and brothers?Hebrews 2:11
Yes Lea, God is a Triune Being with Inter relation of Persons in One Godhead. Therefore the Father isn't Sending Himself to die for us but His Son from All Eternity and His Spirit from all Eternity. If you want to argue that then ask God to reveal this Truth to you.
Jesus was not called the Son of Mary or the Son of human being and neither did Jesus ever refer Himself to be her child. But He did refer to His 1st coming as the Son of Man, His 2nd coming as The Son of GOD, His 3rd coming as The Son of David ( Metaphor).
So then Jesus is his own Father?
