I always save your videos for bedtime. You are always so upbeat and the projects fun. Go to bed with a positive attitude. This project can be done by most people since the materials are readily available. 🖤💜💙
Yes Australian opals are by far the prettiest. I have 2 real ones. I was into making jewelry for a while . So I have a lot of natural gemstones. Faceted and cabochons..The reason I prefer Australian over regular opals. Because you get the beautiful shades of blues. They are ALL very very pretty Julie! p.s. if you use gel polish. You can cure/dry instantly with a UV light. Just don't buy no wipe. Cuz it will cure hardened and the other will be tacky. Just a real time-saver
You are very pleasant to listen to when you are doing a video. I hope you stay as yourself and don't take on airs as so many other youtubers have been wont to do. I enjoy your videos very much! Stay safe!
Hi Julie. I just want to say a huge thank you for all your awesome jewellery tutorials. You have given me a wonderful hobby to keep me sane. I’m trying the opal….ish jewellery as I write. Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Thanks for doing these. I haven’t seen these. I’m originally a jewelry artisan who got burned out at least for a while. I’ve been making these with jewelry skins, but these sparkly things are more my style. It’s also something I can share with my girlfriends. I’m a retired teacher teacher, so teaching craft things to my friends is always fun. 👍❤️👍❤️
These are so pretty. If you wanted a little more natural looking opal effect, a slightly tint of black or white to king of make it a bit cloudy it really makes it look like opal. Not solid just cloudy. Still so pretty though. I love watching your videos. You are very creative and I love it.
They are beautiful. But I like watching you make them with resin. Appreciate you showing us a less expensive and quicker way to make them. I like the white background the best. 😊💕🤗♥
I love the round pearl one you did previously. They’re all so pretty. I never thought of using nail polish, I have so many colors too. Much easier than dealing with skins and resin. Thank you, Julie!
I absolutely love that pearl white nail polish you used on the round one that has the hint of pink glitter. I love that color. They truly are all beautiful. Can't wait to see you do the other colors. Have a Great Week!🌞💐🌻
All of those are so very pretty! I love the black background, but the white background reminds me more of an opal. Seems like a pretty easy project to do. I'll have to try it. It would be interesting to see what a purple background would look like. It's my favorite color.
They're great!! Beautiful!! Yes - other colors. Can't wait to see the dark blue! These micro flakes in resin will be gorgeous, too! I'm sure you'll be doing that as well! Thanks, Julie!! Love it! Something new! You are so wonderfully creative! Take care and stay safe!!
Hi Julie Love love love watching your videos - you are a fantastic teacher and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for everything you bring to us. PS. If you use uv gel varnish you could dry it under a uv light source, or just use a uv (black light) torch. Best to all over there from the uk: dogs, puppies, birdies an all.
I'd like to see you use exactly the same flakes in resin and the same bezels to compare the results side by side. I started making faux opals by stirring flakes into dyed resin. The resin allows the flakes to float at different levels so you get more depth and layering of the colors. I really enjoy your work and videos.
Thanks for sharing, would love to see other colour backgrounds. I have bezel trays that are already black, so might save in having to do that first layer of black polish, although would likely have to use a clear polish. I plan on using Diamond Glaze glue rather than Uhu. I wonder if that could be used instead of nail polish, especially with a bezel that is already black. I bet the Mylar flakes would stick to the Diamond Glaze. I love doing glass cabochon fluid arts pendants, as I don’t want to work with resin, and you have given me more inspiration to make resin free jewellery. Thanks so much.
I really like the white one. To be honest, I kind of really like the big one you said you did with the pearl too. When you showed the man made opal, I had to google "opal" because I had never seen a black opal before and thought maybe I was getting it confused with pearls 🤣 Turns out opals come in 11 different colors 😯 and each one is beautiful!
Julie, you are so creative that I never know what you’ll do next!! Love these, they are absolutely stunning!!! Love the white one the best, but would love to see them in different colors ❤️ Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
I love love LOVE the black one with the small flakes!! Yes, please make more with other colors such as purple and blue. I'm curious to see if the background will enhance the flake color.
Wow these are absolutely stunning Julie I love them and thank you so much for showing us how to do them! It’s very much appreciated and I will definitely try them. I would love to see you do them in other colours ❤️❤️
These are gorgeous! Love these smaller flakes. Yes, other colored backgrounds. AND what about all of the same color flake on black? That might be cool looking too. Ohhhhh, I wanna come play at your house.
I think you could get an even closer to natural opal look if you did little clumps of the Mylar so there are more distinctive spaces of black or white that come through!! Having the flakes spread all over is a pretty look too, of course, but I’d love to see you try it out with little clusters of flakes.
You are the most amazing lady!! You are just so so talented and you have such a great way to teach us how to achieve also. Again you are amazing and thank you lots for your tutorials!!
These were beautiful but that white was another level😍
