Very well explained and showed. Here some personal additions:
Who wants to put some more "kinkyness" on his kick, should use the D16 Forzatan Phaser, preferably on the start of the FX chain. Use the preset "good start" and experiment with the parameters. Also a good surrogate for the MBC: The Waves C4.
If you have any problemes with unwanted noise at the end of the playing your kick, just add a noise Gate like SV-719.
Finally round up and close everything over 0 dB with Venm.(optional).
And: If you want a cool reversed bass kick, just make a layer of two MTs, one for the attack and one for the decay. Sounds delicious ^_^
Heb nu al een aantal hele dikke kicks gemaakt mede dankzij deze tutorial. Uiteraard heb de kick niet exact gecopieerd. Alles ingesteld naar eigen smaak. Maar zeker duidelijk genoeg om met weinig werk/zonder al teveel layeren en dergelijke toch een dikke kick te krijgen. Thnx Marc. :)

De techniek met de Tone2 Filterbank, Multiband Compressor en de 11-76 is live saving!! No matter welke DAW je gebruikt.

That is a Built-in plugin from Cubase.
Either you have corrupted Application Files, or you have a pirated Version of Cubase.
In case you bought Cubase, you could use an Update-Patch from, for Example, 5.0 to 5.1/2/3/4 ect.
Everything that is missing, will be added.
In case you pirated Cubase, there is no other way than to buy it.
Go to your Plugins Folder of Cubase and search for the DLL of the MB Compressor.
If you cant find it....well, you read it already.
Jammer dat je geen reason gebruikt man! Een malstrom kicktutorial was mooi geweest ^^ Die gebruik altijd namelijk voor mn kicks (meerdere lagen) maar kan er nog heel wat over leren denk ik..
Of misschien moet ik maar overstappen, want die visuele feedback van die VSTs zijn wel heel handig!

There is always Static Noise, but you cant hear it, because its too quite.
With Distorting the Output, you extremely raise the Volume of the Output.
Thats why you hear the Noise that much.

@SectorDjMemocore maybe its the decay-amount .... set the decay a bit higher and the kick doesnt sound like breaking of in the end anymore

The deal is that even if you follow this tutorial step-by-step, you still don't get that sound. It spunds differently, it lacks bass, and it sounds dirtier
@DJGawain duuuuuude chill man, i say'ed dickrider not dickraider, no need to get all angry and sad at the same time.
but really, this don't make any sense, i did everything EXACTLY like in the tut just to see if i can get the same sound but it's still a bit different from the vid, and what i really don't get is why the kick in pride and pain is more "brutal" than this one, you can't tell me that's be cuss of the mastering or the final mix, i'm so confused :'(
heb zelf fl studio 11 maar die multi-band compressor die daar in sta is niet zo denderend zoals die van Q base , wweet jij mss een beetje meer raad voor fl studio 11 welke een goede compressor is die wat gelijk is aan die een , microtonic heb ik wel erin staan
